 Isabelle was sitting at her dining table, a small delicate looking cup of tea on a saucer was beside her as she leafed through her newspaper. She stopped to take a long sip when she noticed that Kalec was entering the room, more than likely before he went off to school or whatever it was he was doing that day (She noted that she should probably take a more active approach in knowing his daily schedule, but that really wasn't her style). She drew in a breath and set the paper down, eying him through her reading glasses. This was a conversation that she wasn't likely to enjoy, nor was he, but it was something that had been on her mind lately. "Do you think we can talk for a moment?"

Kalec was on his way to fridge when Isabelle asked to talk. "Sure just a sec"He then walked and grabbed a cold coke from the fridge, then walks over and sits down across from Isabelle. " What's up, Is anything wrong." With a tinge of concern in his voice.

Isabelle eyed him carefully as she removed her spectacles. She stretched out the newspaper, leaving it open to the page that talked about the Stonebank and imbuing stones, though she didn't draw any attention to it either. She leaned a little closer, taking in a drawing breath before getting up the nerve to speak. "Tambre... thinks we should have kids." Well, it was better to be direct than to stumble around the subject, though she cared relatively little that she was putting her friend in the line of fire. "I've mentioned before how I think our genes should continue on... The Stonebank is allowing people to imbue, so I figured now would be as good a time as any."

Kalec was stunned for a moment, His mind began to race about all the implications of having kids, so many questions flooded his mind. Did he want kids, who would take care of them? Certainly not Isabelle or himself not sure he was as they say father material. He could be wrong but he really didn't think Isabelle wanted kids so this statement was a shock. However, she did have a point about wanting to ensure that their genes continued on after their passing and with his line of work he might get unlucky at any time. Kalec took a deep breath and began, " You may be right about having kids, But how are we going to do it? And who would take care of them, I know I would try but I'm not sure how well that would work. Do you want to keep them or what?" The myriad of questions and concerns seemed to just keep growing in his head. He was happy with the life they had together at this point he was not sure if he was ready for the concept of kids. The sheer amount of changes that would have to be made if she said she wanted to keep them.

She had been expecting this reaction from him, so she couldn't really say it was a surprise. She simply let him rant out his feelings before continuing on in her statement. "Well, it's not as if we're hurting on money, exactly... I figured we could hire a nanny, for the most part, otherwise... it was Tambre's suggestion..." She gave an almost evil smile at that thought, she found it poetic justice to stick the potential children on Tambre from time to time. "And when they're old enough we can send them to the Academy. I wouldn't say that we'll be the best parents in the world, but it has to be better than them staying in an orphanage. It's not like they'll want for anything monetarily." She gave a slight shrug. It wasn't that she entirely disliked children, and there was a small part of her that had wanted them, to a varying degree, but children were, for the lack of a better term, messy. "But I do think the benefits outweigh the detriments, in the long run. I think we would be remiss if we didn't carry on our genes in some form or another."

Kalec blinks after hearing what Isabelle has to say, " A nanny, yes that makes sense."Suddenly all of his anxiety about the issue is gone. With a nanny things won't have to change so much, "Although we might use a bigger place you know so we can have own space and the kids can have their own. And we would make some beautiful kids. So yes we should have kids. And when the nanny is on vacation we can send them to Tambre." He grins slightly mischievously.

"Well, of course, Tambre does deserve it after all." She knew that Tambre wouldn't be happy about that idea, but she was glad that the issue was settled for the most part. The two of them had their own ways of doing things, and she was pretty sure that she was being used for her money, but at least the two of them got along in their own strange sort of way. He had his life and she had hers, and neither of them really had that much problem with the arrangement, it somehow worked. She couldn't help, however, when he mentioned the bigger place and she almost sighed, but nodded. He had a point. "Alright, I'll start looking into a new place." She wasn't all that happy about moving out of her gorgeous apartment, but she figured the kids would probably destroy it anyhow. "What kind of place do you want? I'll call up my real estate agent in the afternoon."

Kalec thought a moment about the question. "I'm not sure to be honest I just know with a live in nanny and the kids we definitely need something bigger, I dont have much myself but Ill put forward what I can for the new place." He had always felt awkward that essentially lived off of Isabelle, but somehow it worked between them she never belittled him for having far less than she did and he never went with anything he really wanted. He often wondered if she new how much she did for him. " Something with large grounds so the kids have good area to play and plenty of rooms for us."

She gave him an almost spiteful look, but let out a breath and shook her head. The outdoors? Eww... did he really want her to get her shoes dirty? She gave in, throwing her hands slightly in the air. "If you want land, then you either have to tend it yourself or hire someone who will. I'm not doing it." That was all she was going to say about that. She had little want to be outside if she didn't have to, though she didn't mind gardening from time to time if in the proper clothing.
With that, she got up from her seat and neatly folded her paper. "Well, it's time to go to work. I'll let my agent know on my break. Do you mind letting the landlord know we plan on moving?" She picked her coat up from the rack, gave him a quick kiss and headed out the door like the whole conversation had been a normal everyday discussion.

Kalec chuckles to himself as she heads out the doors he new that comment about land would get to her a bit. He stands up finishing off his drink and grabs his keys and heads see the landlord to let them know we would be moving.
