Maskless Green and Gold Rabbit Vaughn: 25/25, strollin strollin strollin strollin wat
He was taking the back passages to the black hall, not because he didn't want to be seen, but because he wanted to be alone. He could hear the party droning on regardless, but the lack of creatures shoulder-checking him or clawing at his clothing left his mind free to wander.
First: Find Alois, get him to give up his mask in exchange for one from his own growing collection.
Then: Find Hux and continue making the most of the evening.
Tomorrow he'd be back in Ashdown, carrying on Rabbit's life with no one the wiser. Maybe he'd even get around to quitting that dead-end job. Finally.

Autumn Smith 25/25, trying to find Alois
After forcing herself to the bathroom and cleaning up her makeup, Autumn once more seemed the picture of perfection. Not a lash or lip out of place. Her heels clicked along quietly in the empty hall, her mind clawing at her, threatening to eat her alive. Bristling Vale's mask was tucked neatly away in her purse; insurance that the thing wouldn't get any ideas about leaving from where she'd left him. Particularly after she'd stuck her neck out to save his a**.
Now she just had to make sure Alois didn't get himself into any trouble.
Along the back hallways, she passed Rabbit, and it was so tempting to just walk away. To pretend she didn't know anything, and just let him go. Not her circus, not her monkeys. But that wasn't what she'd told Alois about. That wasn't the goodness worth fighting for. Autumn took a deep breath, turned, and approached the Rabbit-looking double quickly.
"I'm having what may actually be the worst night of my entire ******** life, so let's skip the chit chat. I've got Bristling Vale as my prisoner, and you're gonna be next if you don't tell me what I want to know. So your choice. The easy way, or the hard way."
Maskless Green and Gold Rabbit Vaughn: 25/25, i do believe you have the wrong bennett
He recognized her voice instinctively now, and his features went Rabbity in response long before he could tell them they should. Relieved smile. Worried tilt to his eyebrows that was all too appropriate considering where they were. His only tell was the panic and anger that sparked in his eyes, but it was gone so quickly she might not have even noticed.
She had imprisoned his brother.
He longed to close his fingers around her neck, to watch her struggle and squirm as he forced information from her. What did you do? Where is he now? How do you know his name?
"W... what?" Rabbit said. He swallowed, the action fitting even though he did it for an entirely different reason than the real Rabbit would have. "Bristling Vale? Is that a name? Did they do something to you? I mean... I'll tell you anything, Autumn, but I really have no idea what you're talking about. The easy way? Don't lock me up, please?" He smiled nervously.

Autumn Smith 25/25, charging a magic attack
"Uh huh," she replied, clearly unmoved by his little charade. The power began trickling to her fingers, readying a spell. She was a healer, not a fighter. But sometimes, the violence was necessary. And if Bristling Vale had proven anything, it was that these ******** weren't so keen on giving up information the easy way.
Which really, really sucked.
"Either you come clean, or you tell me- what's my favorite Mexican food?" She asked, the room crackling with power.
Maskless Green and Gold Rabbit Vaughn: 25/25, mexican??!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?? food??!??!!?!?!?!?!
She was bluffing, clearly, but she also just as clearly expected an answer, which admittedly gave him pause. Was there some hidden clue he'd missed during his time at the salon, some special tic that broadcast a human's love of burritos solely to other humans? Nah.
"Is this a trick question? As far as I know we haven't had the Mexican food talk yet." His smile grew warmer, less nervous. You're my friend. You've made a mistake. Don't hurt me, okay? "I've been here for, like, three months anyway. You might have changed your mind and started ordering something diff—"

Autumn Smith 25/25, you spun the bankrupt square on Jeopardy Autumn made the buzzer sound with her mouth as the spell detonated, shocking the mock-Rabbit before her.
"Bzzzzt! Wrong answer, thanks for playing." She took an ominous step forward, staring the double-Rabbit down. Her stance fell into a battle-ready one, fists clenched and ready to rumble with her own two hands instead of magic.
"Do you wanna try double or nothing? Or are you gonna tell me what I want to know?"
Maskless Green and Gold Rabbit Vaughn: 15/25, humans smell
The fetch noticed she was casting too late to dodge the spell. He ended up taking it squarely in the chest, his teeth clenching involuntarily as he grunted in shock. Bending at the waist and crouching as he caught his breath, he turned a look on her that was neither friendly nor pitiful. His voice was lower than Rabbit's somehow, fog creeping over the ground at midnight, though it might have been pitched that way because he was in pain.
"What did you do to him? To Vale?"
He didn't expect an answer, but at least she seemed ready to spar with her fists now. Although he had an aversion to bruising his face, physically punching him would leave her with so many more unpleasant memories than flicking at him from a distance.

Autumn Smith 25/25, charging a magic attack His voice dropped, but she did not respond. Could not let herself show fear. Instead, Autumn began charging up another version of the same spell, staring the duplicate dead-on. Her expression stayed cold and hardened (the pharaoh, refusing to cave in the face of doubt), and she tipped her head to the side. How much of a bluff could she pull? Her stance softened and one hand began to collect the magic, wild and dangerous. The other reached into her bag, pulling out the creature's former mask.
"You tell me, I tell you. Trade for a trade. That's fair, isn't it?" She called, looking at the mask. In reality, it would probably damn her to not getting any information if she revealed that she had spared Bristling Vale. Twice. Her eyes flicked up to the double, and lord this was a gambit, but-
"Unless you want me to go tell Mynn that you're all falling apart, huh?" A forced grin, cold and unfeeling. The show of teeth was a threat, not reaching her eyes.
"Or I could just show you what I did to him, if you don't want to play nice."
Maskless Green and Gold Rabbit Vaughn: 15/25, you just told him
Even though he could feel the prickly sting of magic building this time, he stood straight in the face of her threat and her cold eyes, the look he gave her hand a thoroughly exasperated one. It was to be magic after all. When he spoke, his tone sounded quite a bit more like Rabbit's again.
"Look, I'm pretty sure you didn't kill him, all right? You said 'I've got Bristling Vale as my prisoner' not 'I know what Bristling Vale's insides look like'." He sighed. "It really depends on what you want to know. But... put that away." He gestured at her magic. "Mynn knows. And he's disappointed in all of us."

Autumn Smith 25/25, not putting that away at all- unless putting it away in you counts (still hitting) "Doesn't mean I'm treating him well," She snapped, discharging the spell once more. In theory, he would be near passing out. A good time to really make use of his weakened state to get what she wanted. Autumn folded her arms, staring coldly at him. He wanted to test her, see how cruel she was? She could play that game.
"Last chance- you tell me everything. What Ezra and Spinel are planning. What you are." Her expression turned downwards, a frown at the corners of her mouth.
"Alois- that's the one Bristling Vale replaced- didn't take his double pretty well. Introduced his jaw to some glass, they got along pretty well. You might say they buried the hatchet. More of a wine glass in this case, but make of it what you will." Her eyebrows raised.
"I'm ******** crazy, and I'm really not in the mood for sass. Is that really a risk you wanna run with me?"
He was driven to his knees this time, a gravelly wail pushing free from a jaw locked by agony. He tried to catch his ragged breath only to cough and cough and cough until a gob of blood spattered on the ground between his hands.
"I was willing to talk. Now I'm not. You've seen what I was if you have that mask. And what fun would it be if I spilled secrets that aren't mine? You should get them from the source." He hacked again, half uncontrolled and half for show. "If you've let Vale be hurt permanently..." Moving more quickly than Rabbit had any right to, he stood and shot forward, fist first. His vision went white, body barely able to keep up with his intent, but he was fairly certain his punch connected before he dropped to a boneless huddle once more.

((NOTE: The KO has been discussed OOCly by Smerdle and Myself. Smerdle gave permission for a no-roll knockout. Evidence can be provided if need be.))
Autumn Smith 20/25, OW The punch connected, and Autumn doubled back, the wind escaping her. That... had been a good punch. On reflex, she whirled around with a leg, intending to land a kick to disable further action from Rabbit's double. It connected, and... knocked the ******** out.
Wheezing for breath, Autumn stared down at his body, blinking. <********> So much for info.
Well... whatever. She could just. Drag him to where she'd hidden Blistering Vale. With a sigh, she moved to haul up his body, and lead yet another dead-a** body-guy down to the basement.
Hopefully, this wasn't becoming a regular thing.

Maskless Green and Gold Rabbit Vaughn: 5/25, still ow
He groaned as he struggled back to consciousness, whispering a curse when he remembered what had happened to get him here. Everything hurt, the result of experiencing full body magical lightning, all of his bony parts shaking against themselves until he thought he might fall apart. He was going to be in so much trouble, but he had thought he could talk her out of hurting him. He'd hoped this face would help.
Autumn was stone cold. He should have hit her first.
He opened his eyes.
"Hello?"

Autumn Smith 20/25, couldn't think of a good line in time. "You know, I sat here trying to think of a good James Bond villain line for like, ten minutes, and just couldn't come up with anything. Hope you're not too disappointed."
The poor mock-Rabbit would find himself tied up and rather unceremoniously left on the floor. In front of him, Autumn sat cross-legged, her ballgown indecently showing her ankles. She gave the man a mockery of a smile.

"I'm not." Or at least Rabbit wouldn't have been, and that was all he knew. He shifted, closing his eyes again mostly against the pain, but also to hide from what he was about to do for just a little while longer. The day he had become Rabbit had been the best he could recall for a very long time, and even when he eventually won tonight, the humiliation of what he would do here would never leave him.
"I'll do my best. But I need to know. Is Vale here? Is he safe?"
