Kaiden was facing forward as his eyes was looking aimlessly then he said,"Its been a long time since me, you and Aldon have taking a trip together like this.." Crys was awake as she saw an open window then she pecks his strand of hair to let him know that she is going flying then she flies out of the open window to hunt for herself to eat.

Athena smiled as they walked. "Yes it certainly has been. This will be good for us. It will give us the chance to reconnect as siblings." She replied with a slight nod before giggling at Crys. Once they reached her room however she breathed a soft sigh and gave Kaiden a kiss on the cheek. "Maybe we should prank Aldon while we're out, just to even the scores since he's always pranking us. Oh and thank you for walking with me." She said with a mischievous smirk.

Kaiden chuckles lightly as Athena kissed him on the cheek then when she said about pranking their older brother he then said,"Sounds like a plan and no problem Athena.." then he places his hands into his coat pockets then he said,"I will be in my chambers when you are ready, we can head to the stables together.." he smiles as his hair hides his emotionless eyes.
He was really excited about the trip then he heads down the hallway to his chambers when a sharp ringing is sounded in his right ear as he covered it with his hand then he mumbles,"the hell?" he removes his hand away from his ear as the ringing stopped then he sighs as he continues walking to his room.

"Alright, I'll be sure to come get you once I'm ready." Athena replied before watching her brother head down the hallway to his own room for a bit. Figuring that he was alright she turned her back and entered her chambers in order to gather what she would need and change her outfit. Of course that meant she didn't notice when he covered his ears or that he had even stopped.

Having woken early in the morning, or to be a little more accurate, having not slept the night before Athena breathed a soft sigh. An entire month had passed since she had last written to Roland and still no word from him came. Of course she had warned him of the impending decision that was to be made, though it now appeared her dear eldest brother was going to stand firm of his choice to be the one married. With her thoughts being so loud and intrusive she was glad to have changed clothing but decided it would be better for her to remained locked in her room with Snowy for the day where she would not bring her families mood down with her own. Plus the last thing she wanted was someone noticing how she was biting her lip, just in case there was a visitor or something. Hearing the little chihuahua bark however she smiled over at him. "I'm okay Snowy, just a little unsure of things right now. It's almost as if the fates have a different path in store or something." She murmured before kneeling to pet her little white ball of fluff, earning another bark. "Yes I know staying in here will most likely worry someone, but at least I'm not in public worrying the people. They have enough concerns already..." She said with a soft sigh.

Sarah Bellamy
A maid's day began very early as she made sure all was ready and on schedule. The cooks to make breakfast for the family and the guards making their rounds as needed. While everything seemed to be going smoothly Sarah rushed up the stone stairs to the princess' bedroom and quickly placed her ear to the door. She was listening in to hear if her princess had awaken yet and judging by Snowy's barking she could tell Athena was awake; And so Sarah knocks on Athena's bedroom door like an anxious sister. "Princess! Princess! Open the door right now! I have a letter to you addressed from Roland of Bellris!" While Sarah tend to the princess she had other maids check on both the princes, the queen and the king in order to find if they are awake and ready for the breakfast that awaits them this morning.

Hearing the knock upon her door and the sound of Sarah's voice stating she had a letter from Roland, Athena hurried to the door and yanked it open. "Shush! Don't be so loud about things that don't concern the others." She scolded while hauling her dear friend into her room by the wrist. "Honestly do you want the entire kingdom to know that I receive letters from someone? Could you imagine the rumours that would go about?" She said while peeking about to see if anyone had heard the maids mistake before finally closing the door and locking once more. Once safely shut in the room once more she turned to face Sarah and breathed a soft sigh, nervous to know what the letter contained. "Oh Sarah I'm scared to know what is written, but at the same time long to hear word from him..." She murmured before holding her hand out for the letter. "Let me see it, but stay with me until I've read it through. Please?" She requested in her usual soft and gentle tone, though it did hold a hint of both fear and excitement.

The maid squealed as the princesses bedroom door swung open and like a leaf to the winds, Sarah was yanked into her best friend's room with the door being behind her; Athena's head poking out to make sure the coast was clear retreating to her room.
"I'm sorry princess! I just recovered the letter from the coop of messenger pigeons and couldn't hold back how giddy I am for you!" While almost all of the letters were secret Sarah had only noticed something because of all her eyes and ears around the castle, which was her fellow staff members, and the fact that she too was a woman and knew the glow a woman has when they are in love. Sarah has kept tight lipped about this situation for her loyalty to Athena knew no bounds.
While her princess asked the maid to stay she quickly agreed with the gentle nod of her head before stepping closer to Athena an rub her arm to comfort her. "I will be here by your side, my princess." Tender words before the maid hands over the sealed letter and softly smiles to the princess, taking a step back afterwards so that Athena may privately read the letter and speak it only if she felt that she wanted to.

Athena shook her head and rolled her eyes at Sarah before gently taking hold of the letter. "Thank you." She murmured softly before breaking the seal and quietly beginning to read the words in front of her, tears welling in her eyes at the news of Roland's sister being lost in the eruption, though a small smile formed by the end of it as she hugged the paper to her chest. "When you are finished your duties today will you run down to the flower seller and pick up a single rose for me? I wish to place it by a candle out of respect to a departed member of Roland's family. If you cannot get away after your duties then don't worry about it." She murmured softly while finally looking over at her friend. "You may go now, I'll write back and send it. Thank you for staying with me and try not to let Kaiden distract you too much or someone might get suspicious." She said dismissing Sarah with a gentle smile and little bit of sibling like teasing.

Sarah was at odds with the welling tears in her princess's eyes but the smile and holding onto her paper as if it were Roland himself had Sarah smiling for her princess. The maid doesn't recall a time when Athena was this giddy except for when she was a happy little girl alongside the maid. "Oh no, that's so saddening...I promise to get that rose to you Athena. For Sir.Roland's sake too." It was very sad to hear that the Prince of Bellris had lost a member of his family for Sarah knows all too well what that feeling is like. First she lost her father and then her mother, but so too has the prince and now another love is gone. Sarah can only hold a prayer in her heart for Roland and hopes that Athena's prayer might also reach him, where ever he may be.
When dismissed and thanked, Sarah had curtsy out of respect for the princess's thanks but soon burned a bright red and waved her hands about frantically. "I-I-I have no idea what you are talking about. I don't let Kaiden d-district me. W-why would you even say that? Gosh!" Yeah, Athena totally knows about Sarah's feeling for Kaiden but from there she's not sure just how much dose she know. Either way it could be read on from Sarah's quick exit that she is still shy about being true to her feelings and saying anything about the subject.
While she leaves the room, closing the door behind her, Sarah smiles and hums a romantic tune as Athena reminded the maid what she feels for the prince and what the prince feels for her. A spring in Sarah's step as she heads to the king's & queen's bedchamber to wake them for breakfast.

Athena couldn't help giggling as Sarah made an excuse and quick exit of the room, knowing all too well just how much the two loved each other. Kaiden had in fact told her they were secretly seeing one another, for which she couldn't be happier. Though at the same time it felt a little unfair. Kaiden and Sarah were able to meet in secret and hold each other, while all she could do was wait for the days she would receive a letter from her beloved. Granted he was in a completely different land to her own and had much more pressing matters to deal with now that Bellris was a fledgling republic, but she still longed to have his strong arms around her again. At least with the letter she had just gotten her mood was a bit better and she wouldn't need to remain locked in her room, though watching Snowy romp about made the decision to stay put rather easy and she soon began playing a game of fetch with the little dog.

Athena had woken early as always and chose to dress in something a little simpler than her usual royal looking garments. Of course reason for it was to be able to move freely while playing with her dear Snowy as well as the ability to blend in a little better outside the castle walls, if she got the chance to wander off that is. Of course part of her hoped that she would be able to take a walk about her kingdom with her beloved Roland at some point, but he had yet to call upon her and she guessed it was because he had gone to seek out her father. He was after all here on business and not simply to visit with her and her family. Little did she know that her prince had asked for a rose to woo her with, though in truth she had been won long before now.
