Morning started as it always did. Stretch slowly to a stand, uncoiling toes and tail and arching the back so that one's nose could point up towards the rising sun. Then, after three licks upon each forepaw, the white lion emerged from his den and circled it three times, drawing in the sights all around him, taking comfort in how everything was as he had left it the previous day. Circles walked, he padded casually across to his earthen mound and sat to watch the horizon change in colour from yellow to blue as the day progressed.
He'd been here for a while now - ever since parting from his family - and took great comfort from its predictability. Its lack of food and water meant that no other predators came by and, even if they did, he could see them a mile off and make himself scarce.
His den was a neat and tidy hollow amongst the roots of a long dead tree, its dried up leaves brushed into a neat pile at the entrance. The mound which acted as his seat was topped with flattened grass that he smoothed in one direction so that it all looked the same shade of green in the sun. Down a few paces, the dried bed of an extinct stream was edged with stones - ordered in size small to large all in a row.
Perfect.
With a contented sigh, the white lion sank down onto his belly, crossed his forepaws and basked in the early morning sunshine.

Bidii stretched her wings as she caught another thermal, rising slowly and circling to enjoy the perks of flight without having to work. She liked flying quite a bit and used her wings to her advantage. Technically, as a goddess, she didn't need wings to fly, but she was still going to use them for what they were meant for. Leaving the thermal, Bidii beat her wings lazily as she slowly descended. Down on the ground a white lion stood out among the brown dirt and grass. Tilting her head a bit, she noticed that he had three tails. Three! And horns! Another god then, she thought, and turned her lazy flight into a sharp dive. At the last moment she fanned her wings, pulling up to land in a cloud of dust. "Morning!" she said cheerfully, the grin on her face wide and strong. "Nice day so far, huh? This is a nice little place you've got," she said, trotting forward to give a proper greeting to the other god, her fluffy tail and feet knocking over some of the neatly placed stones in the riverbed along the way. "I'm Bidii!"

Zakae had planned for a number of different circumstances regarding invasion but, unfortunately, none of them involved intrusion from a god. As such, a winged lioness appearing from the sky was something he was not prepared for.
He startled at the sound of her voice, springing to her paws with more agility than his form would have otherwise suggested and gawped at her - eyes wide and mouth ajar. "Wait, wait, wait!!" But it was too late for protesting as she charged forwards and sent his wonderful row of stones skittering this way and that.
"Nononononononono!" He sprang forwards with the intent of a lion on a hunt, scrabbling after the stones and scooping them up into a safe circle within his forearms. "Look where you're going!" he trilled, turning his head to glare at her. "Clumsy, clumsy! It'll take me ages to get these back perfectly in line." All day, most like, judging the angle from the shadows and the original indentations. He wrinkled his nose at her like an indignant little cub and gave a short huff.
"You're out of here!" he replied, probably more rudely than he had meant. His social skills were rather...lacking.

The rather negative response to her greeting gave Bidii pause for a moment, and as the white god scrambled for the stones she had kicked up, she felt a bit badly. Oh...those had been in a nice row, hadn't they? "Oh geez, I'm sorry!" she said, carefully stepping away from the stones she hadn't disrupted. "I didn't even see them. Here, let me help," she offered as she pushed one of the stones forward. She leaned down, staring at the size and shape, and slowly began pushing it to the area of the line she thought it might go. "No way, I'm not leaving until I fix this!" she insisted. Clearly the god was passionate about his little rocks, and if that didn't get the fire in her belly going nothing did! Her bouncy and bubbly self settled down as she crouched in front of the rocks, giving the one she was pushing a much more critical eye. Bidii didn't only give others that zealous attitude, but she herself could channel her own domain to help her focus and get excited about just about anything. And right now it was putting these little rocks in a very straight line.

Her offer for help seemed to have the opposite affect from what she might have wanted. The white lion seemed to start hyperventilating, flailing his paws in an attempt to ward her off - except now she was so intent on helping that his flapping seemed to be going quite unnoticed!
"You can't help," he stressed, "there's a special way and it'd take too long to explain it so it'd be quicker to do it myself."
He paused, blinking, as she began to maneuver one of the rocks into position and drew a breath that he did not release. She was touching his things and she wasn't listening and he had no idea who she was! All this invasion of personal space was getting too much to cope with.
"Gently!" he warned, "don't scratch it!" and he started flapping about again, returning to his little pile of disturbed rocks and fussing over them like a broody hen. "I can't watch. I can't."

"I'm not gonna scratch a rock!" Bidii said with a little laugh as she nudged the stone back into place. Well, what looked to be the right place. Puling back, she tilted her head this way and that to get a better angle, before turning it ever so slightly to the left. "There! That looks good, right?" she said, grinning as she glanced up to find...the lion was no longer looking. Huh. "Hey, check my work, will ya?" she said, ruffling her wings against her sides proudly. "I think I did a pretty good job." And for any other lion she might have done a pretty good job. For this one, however...well. That remained to be seen.

Dare he look?
He could feel his heart pounding against his rib cage and the fur pricking on the back of his neck. Every part of him was screaming to just face the other way until this was all over and she had gone. Another - small - part of him, however, wanted to sate his curiosity and correct her work if it was badly done. He was sure it would be, as well.
So, after what probably seemed like far longer than necessary, the white lion turned - tails whipping - and slowly crept forwards. His head lowered so that he could cast a critical eye over her work and was thus surprised to see that she had done a rather splendid job!
That was...mildly irritating.
He straightened and cast her a suspicious look. "How did you do that? No one can do that." He was not being particularly clear, but hopefully Bidii would know what he meant.
No one should be able to do such a perfect job as he could!

Bidii waited for the white lion to turn around an inspect her work. It was taking a while and she was about to encourage him again, but he finally turned on his own and leaned over to look closely at her positioning. When the 'praise' came she puffed up her chest and let her wings fluff up as well, pride clear on her face. "I can tell you're pretty into these rock things," she said, motioning at those that she hadn't knocked out of place. "And when other lions are really into something, I get into it too!" She grinned at him and tilted her head a bit, her long mane falling in front of one eye. "So if you wanna pass over those stones I can help you." Maybe he'd say yes, who knew!

Huh. Was that so? He quirked a brow, curious now. That seemed like a useful power - perhaps not for her, but certainly for others like himself. After all, it wasn't just stones that he was 'into'. Anything around his daily rituals and obsessions was met with equal fervor.
He looked at her, then looked at the stones and, with a small 'hm', he tentatively slid a stone towards her.
"Ok, try it with this one. If you get this one right, it's not a fluke and you can help me put the others right."
He moved to the other side of the line and began positioning one himself, using the sun as a guide and smoothing the dirt around it once more. He'd happily let it occupy him all day, but just this once, an offer of help might prove useful.

Bidii grinned at the other god as he weighed his options and hoped she'd be allowed to stay. When he passed her another stone her tail flicked with delight, but she reminded herself not to be too physically excited. She might do more harm than good if she was bouncing all over the place. "Sure!" she said, tugging the stone to her as she eyed the line. This one was going to be a bit harder since it wasn't just tapped out of the way. This one she had to judge by size and shape. Finally she started nudging the stone forward, settling it down in the tiny divot it had been resting on before. She mimicked her companion by brushing some of the disturbed dirt aside before slowly spinning the stone until it sank back into it's 'home'. "How's that?" she asked as she blew a soft breath over it to get some dirt off the top her toes had left.

It seemed to not take her much time to place the other stone and, lifting his head to glance her way, he gave it a scrutinising look. Behind him his three tails went very still and, after a long moment, she was gifted with a short nod of approval.
"Very well, done. There is hope for you yet."
For a moment he lay there regarding her curiously, almost as if trying to figure out what she was and how on earth she had gone from destroying things to fixing things. If the initial clumsiness could be worked on, she'd likely make a fine companion - and he didn't have many of those. "At this rate will be done before the sun reaches its zenith." He slid another rock her way.
"You're name is Bidii?" He paused, thinking hard a moment and then, "I am Zakae. God of Rituals."SilverLutz happy to leave there if you are! hee, that was fun!

Earning Zakae's name seemed like an accomplishment all on its own indeed. Bidii stood a bit taller, once again fluffing up her wings and puffing up her chest in delight. "It's wonderful to meet you," she said with her trademark grin. "Let's get these stones back in order!"
