A favor for Huxtable Keighley "I'm not interested in playing masquerade." Hux says to you, his rather indignant line of thinking very apparent in the way he sits hunched in his chair. The flame reflects rather deviously in his eyes as he stares at it, and you think that- just maybe- you can hear it whispering something. "You can tell that to Adoelle, if you see her." He doesn't even bother to look at you. Just frowns. "If you wanna make yourself useful, bring me some booze. If not... could you just go away?"

To successfully complete Hux’s favor, you must roll three six-sided die. These will select your solo/duo story elements! If an element has (Fail) next to it, disregard any further rolls and write a short post relating how you got there. You may then retry, but only after your first post is filled!
If you're soloing it, you just fill in that post with your character's progress through the favor. Should you choose to RP this favor with another player (or more than one friend!) please make a thread in the event forum and link it in your roll post when you're done.
FIRST DIE: What type of alcohol do you think Hux will like the most? 1 - Something bitter and dark that gets him drunk quick. 2 - Something light and crisp, perfect for sipping and staring into the flames with. 3 - Something fruity and thick that coats his mouth in sugary joy... but also makes him gag. (FAIL) 4 - Something clear and- oh ******** it's water. (FAIL) 5 - Three bottles of wine, because why not?? 6 - Tiny chocolates filled with rum.
SECOND DIE: How do you acquire the alcohol? 1 - You take it from someone who's already drank theirself into unconsciousness, surely they won't notice? 2 - You ask someone for it and they actually give it to you. Wow. How nice. 3 - You seduce someone into giving up their own personal supply, oo-la-la. 4 - You almost do, but then you're grabbed by a gaggle of bipedal frogs and pulled off to the dancefloor. (FAIL) 5 - You go to the open bar and you get it from there, like a normal person. 6 - You trip on your way back down the stairs and end up unconscious... (FAIL)
THIRD DIE: Do you make it back to Hux with the goods? 1 - Yes, but you had to convince a sloppy drunk to let you through to the stairs. 2 - No, the staircase takes so long to climb, you accidentally drink it on your way up. (FAIL) 3 - Yes, except you spilled a little along the way and there's not much left... 4 - No, but you did manage to find Adoelle and pass along his message. 5 - No, you decide the stairs are way more trouble than any information some hermit in a tower could provide. (FAIL) 6 - Yes, you've got the goods and a little something extra!
Please quote happy bonsai when you're done for information dispersal!

“Trust me, going away was ze first sought on my mind. But, Ezra has me running wine up and down ze goddamn stairs all night long - it doesn’t make much difference to me where it goes or who it goes to.“ His legs already ached from the incessant activity. He was certain, too, that no one appreciated his feats of endurance and only noticed when the wine ran out. „If I see Adoelle, I’ll tell her to go ******** the Burning Man,“ he answered as a bid adieu.
Shuffling down the stairs felt considerably easier to sore hamstrings. Rounding the spire was a matter of resting a hand on its ever-present column while crossing down as quickly as his legs allowed. Backtracking to the cellar was a straight shot, too, which left him with only the challenge of picking out proper wines for a man he hardly knew.
But what did he care for that overgrown lummox’s tastes? The man could drink piss and vinegar through half the night and Alois wouldn’t give a damn about it. If he hadn’t the forethought to provide specifications for what type of beer or brand of wine, then he got what he got. Ergo, Alois chose the highest alcohol percentages found (while sparing the ice wine - he always preferred the ice wine) and snapped up three bottles from their racks. With one 750ML pinned under his arm, he carried the 1.5L bottles at his sides and started up the stairs at a quick dash. Nearing the top, an uncanny tickle started on his ear and Alois faltered immediately. That sensation soon scrabbled across his cheek, into his periphery, and before he could smash the thing with the heel of his hand, Alois slipped on the last stair.
One bottle cracked and two bottles shattered into a slew of claret murder scene. Alois himself struck his head on a stone edge and never quite made it up the stairs after that.

Chris Watts || 25/25 || Bad at alcohol
Chris wasn't about to object to helping Hux out - he didn't want to play this game either and so if this guy, who was apparently having a terrible time, wanted some booze then by god he was going to find him something to drink. First though, he had to actually figure out what the hell this guy wanted.
Chris, seeing as he knew absolutely nothing about whatever the hell was served here, decided to take it upon himself to just.. grab something and guess. His reference to alcohol was limited to wine (there was like.. two types, right?), soju, and then whatever else he could get his hands on that was either clear or promised to knock him right out. So when he happened upon something that looked fruity and good, he squinted at it, considered it for a moment and then left with it.
It occured to him that he should.. probably taste it on his way to bringing it. What he found out was that it was unbearably sweet and that, Hux would probably think the same. He'd try again with something else.

Chris Watts || 25/25 || Still really bad at alcohol
Chris, as it turned out, was apparently awful at picking booze. He perused the drinks again and picked up another drink that looked appropriately boozy enough while also not being completely awful. In an attempt to prevent what happened last time though he took another taste and it was another, awful, fruity drink.
This was not going well.

Chris Watts || 25/25 || Why is he still trying at Alcohol
Look, he was trying his best. Chris really, and truly was. But he had an awful talent for picking out stuff that looked like it would get Hux appropriately drunk as he picked up the third fruity drink of the evening.
At this point, it was now his personal mission to get something that wasn't this damn, fruity stuff.

Chris Watts || 25/25 || He tried so hard, and got so far
This time, Chris wasn't going for a drink. No, he knew he would probably mess up there. There had to absolutely be something else that he could bring to him that would be appropriately good and well, it was lucky he stumbled upon the chocolate. The alcohol inside, he couldn't really tell, but it was enough that it wasn't going to be awful to.. eat? Drink? He didn't know, but it was time to go.
He almost made it out of the room too - he was just barely to the staircase and then, to his utter misfortune, was accosted by frogs into a dance. He sighed and mournfully looked towards the staircase, wondering when he'd actually be able to bring the guy some booze. By now, he absolutely wanted a drink too.

Chris Watts || 25/25 || These frogs really like him
The chocolates, of course, were gone after the dance he was pulled into. But better yet, he actually managed to find a source of alcohol he was confident in - wine. This time he was determined to get out and he skirted the dance floor the best he could, keeping an eye out for anything that could possibly grab him before he could get the alcohol away.
Chris, however, was not looking hard enough and the frogs found him again. Apparently he was a charming enough dance partner and he wistfully, mourned the fact that he was unable to do anything right.

Hux frowned. His eyes never left the flames, and he stared quite intently at the creatures smiling within it. They whispered their little horrible nothings to him and his whole body shuddered. Why wasn't anyone bringing him any ********> booze?

Chris Watts || 25/25 || OK HE FINALLY DID SOMETHING RIGHT
Feeling somewhat emboldened by being able to get a gift for someone (and man, did he look pleased at the weird little foxcat), Chris decided to try his hand again at getting this poor dude something to drink. Looking over, his eyes landed on something that looked dark and bitter and most likely to get someone drunk, fast (the one thing he was best at identifying in drinks). When his eyes finally trailed up, it was non other than in the hands of one of the frog dancers that he had been with earlier.
Had he hadn't failed so many times before, maybe Chris would have tried to find the booze somewhere else. But he was tired, he just wanted to get this poor man a drink, and he was still riding the high off of his previous success. It wouldn't hurt to ask either, right?
Pasting on a smile, he strode up to the frog, and after a brief conversation, he found himself with booze and the ability to get up to the floor, given that once he came back down he would give them another dance. With that he strode across the floor, fully intending to get this alcohol somewhere (finally!) when he spotted Adoelle. He had wanted the message to be passed on too, right? But he didn't think that near a man on fire it'd be great to have alcohol and carefully, he set it down on a table as he went off to tell her.
This, in retrospect, was not his greatest idea because when he returned the bottle was gone, nothing in place except one of the chocolates that he had tried to take him before. Scowling, Chris took it and marched up the stairs, fuming the whole time. He had just wanted to bring the man some alcohol, why was it so hard? Was there a spell on the damn room?
Regardless, he made it back up and with a rather frustrated expression, offered Hux the one chocolate and, "I didn't manage to bring back the whole bottle, someone nicked it, but I gave Adoelle your message."

Hux frowned. "You can't trust anyone here." He said, rather darkly. "Even the nice ones will lock you away in a tower for a while if it suits them." He stood up, rather gracefully all things considered, and turned to face the man that had passed along his message. " Adoelle seems to be pretty convinced that she'll be this evening's tithe. But I'm not so sure." He turned back towards the fireplace, and that was that.

"Thank you," Chris said with all honestly and with that, left Hux to the fireplace and to consider the information.

Alexis Tucker: 25/25 / FROGS
Alexis was trying. Really! They were! But they'd snuck a sip of the drink at some point, and then -- before they could really figure out why -- there were frogs.
The frogs were dancing.
The frogs wanted them to dance together.
Alexis took a deep breath, resigned themselves to the idea that nothing tonight would make a single lick of sense, and decided that no matter how fizzy the drink was it wasn't worth this endeavor.

Autumn Smith 25/25, dancing the night away with Jeremiah the Bullfrog It had seemed successful, at first. Autumn had scored some scrumptious-looking rum chocolates, which weren't exactly alcohol, but they were close! And probably delicious. That in mind, Autumn began making her way back towards the dress-bearing giant's alcove (and he was most certainly rocking it), only to be swept away by a dance-determined pack of frogs who had seemingly had their boogy-bound way with Chris, earlier.
At least the dancing was fun.
