Zigari folded his arms around the stuffed bear and smiled as he exited the shop. He had placed a special order a few weeks ago, in anticipation for Callie’s return back to the academy and today, it had been ready to pick up. He still wasn’t sure when his roommate would return but he was glad that the bear had been done before that. It was a simple thing — he couldn’t afford anything too fancy just yet. Brown with a pink dress and a pink bow attached to one of it’s ears — he knew that her favorite color was pink.
He slithered along, wondering when Callie would be back and hating that they hadn’t really been able to communicate the whole time she’d been gone. Zigi understood, though, why Callie had had to of left. If he’d had family in need of him, he had done the same. Zigari, however, didn’t have family. So, like a few others within the academy dorms, he’d remained in his dorm room over the summer and kept himself busy with summer activities provided by the school. Now that he was older, as well, he’d been able to go out and explore the surrounding town on his own — much to his delight.
When Zigari opened the door to his dorm, he frowned — something felt off, as if someone had been inside the room recently. His nose twitched as he slowly made his way in, eyes widening at the sight of a curled up body on his bed.
His bed. His room. He opened his mouth, about to berate the random person for being in his room and his bed, when he slithered closer and snapped his mouth shut. Callie? Zigari blinked, head tilting to the side as he leaned in a bit closer to examine the person. A huge grin spread across his face as soon as he realized it really was her. “Callie!” he exclaimed, one arm uncurling from around the bear (the other still clinging to it) and he literally pounced on his bed and his friend he hadn’t seen all summer.
