Two opposing team members who happen to have one thing in common meet.
whether it's permanent or temporary, one needs help dealing with that commonality.

Akkira swung at whatever she could with her bokken. She hadn't been this way before and she wanted to make sure that she wasn't going to walk into something or into some endless pit. And why did she have to travel this far out anyway? It wasn't like she happened to be some troll that would put her neck out to save some happless nobody, but it would seem one of the trolls that really liked to hang around her had found a fish that had gone blind. Well, she could do at least one good deed or whatever.

"Okay, you said that someone needed help? So, where are they spokes?" Akkira asked the troll who had nagged her until she went along with the entire thing. The guide in question was a tealblood ghost with her lusus, evidently they had died pretty young. So, for Akkira there were sounds of hooting and wing flaps as well as the voice of the troll following her.

"Yeah, over that way!" As though the spirit hadn't realized that Akkira could not see wherever they were gesturing too. Not that the young redblood was too eager to jump into trouble, but she wanted to get this done and over with QUICKLY and without TOO much trouble.

"Oh yeah? Hey! Is that them over there." Akkira asked pointing to some random direction, which honestly didn't point to anything but maybe some buildings or what have you that belongs in the city.

"What, where?!" The troll seemed to have fell for the joke again not even considering the fact that Akkira was completely blind and could not visually pinpoint anything. In response Akkira just shrugged her shoulders.

"Right over there, can't you see... I KNOW I SURE CAN'T," the redblood said with as much snark as she could muster. The teal ghost gave an irritated and exasperated groan and from there just gave simple directions based on the compass or left and right. Akkira was a bit anxious to find this troll that needed her help, being blind was something she knew how to deal with but from what she understood this troll would be in a lot of trouble if she didn't get SOME help, besides it would totally boost her rep to everyone that she came to the rescue of someone as important as this a*****e bossing her around made them out to be.

"Hey! I heard you're blinded and need help, say something if you can hear me so I know where you are!" Akkira said as loud as she could, she knew Tekkemom was not too far behind and figured she was safe to make some noise to find this troll, though she might be a little bit punished, however she did appear as the stronger troll, so honestly it could go any way. So, with any luck Akkira would look like a hero for helping this troll and hopefully they weren't some sort of smear on the wall, or ground or whatever.

Polair didn't know what to do, and that was a first. She obviously couldn't sit down and read, nor she could look up at the sky and marvel it, she couldn't walk properly without slamming into things. Losing her sight... was the worst thing that ever happened to her. Polair didn't want this set back, this wasn't even supposed to happen. If was as if some kind of unknown universal force imposed that unfortunate event on her. Universal force or not, she had to do something before Claud noticed, thank gog he was slow sometimes. He'd freak out, he'd never trust her doing something on her own ever again. She couldn't tell anyone she knew about this, they'd worry about her, they wouldn't treat her as an independent being.

"I don't want to be labeled as handicap... I want to do things on my own for once..." She mumbled as she walked around... well.. Polair wasn't sure. She just wanted to be away from her lusus, away from the doctors and away from complete strangers approaching her and offering unnecessary help. She wanted to get away from the nauseating noises and figure this out. If only someone wrote a "how to overcome visual impairments without making your progress obvious" manual.

Trying to think of anything else as she wandered, Polair heard a voice somewhere. Say something... they wanted to help her? Could they really?

More importantly, how did they know about... The child shook her head. She was overthinking again, and that often took her to an aloof state. Polair breathed in and out as she tried to respond to the stranger.

"I... I'm here! I mean, I am not sure where exactly but if you can hear me--" She stopped her shouts midway and crossed her arms.

"That would be great..." She sniffled. She had to resist the need to cry, she didn't have time for that, plus she thought it was utterly unnecessary.

Akkira grinned broadly when she got a response back and carefully walked towards the sound, brushing the tip of her boken across the ground so that she knew where she was going and if anything was in front of her. "Yeah, just keep talking, I can't find you by sight so.. yeah just keep talking, alright? Or I don't know, any noise is fine just--ahk." Akkira let out a grunt as she hit her hand on a pole near her. She rubbed her hand and switched her boken to the other hand.

"Ahaha, wasn't watching where I was going" the lowblood joked. Not like she could watch where she was going. But, whatever.
" THIs really isn't the time to be joking around... w--- uhg, come on she's just in front of you." her companion scoffed in impatience though within the same breath seemed to be muttering something about, "OH THE poor thing," Possibly talking about whoever it is she'd been bugged to come see.

"Huh?" Polair was surprised, so this stranger was also blind. "Are you ok, though?" She asked once Akkira grunted. She was probably close, yes, but Polair couldn't determined how close or how far the redblood was. She really didn't know what to say, which was very weird considering the fact she always had something to say. Maybe one of her favorite laws? Yeah, those could help

"Ok, um... Well, Troll Albert Einstein was the one who published the theory of relativity, which explains how to interpret motion between different inertial frames of reference— that is, the places that are moving at constant speeds relative to each other." The seadweller took a deep breath as she walked. "Einstein's theory of special relativity created a fundamental link between space and time. The universe can be viewed as having three space dimensions — up and down, left and right, and finally forward and backward— and also has one time dimension. This four-dimensional space is referred to as the space-time continuum." Hopefully the troll willing to help her could find her with all this useful information. After all, troll Albert Einstein's works were something everyone should know, at least in her book. "So, if you move fast enough through space, the observations that you make about space and time differ somewhat from the observations of other trolls, who are moving at different speeds...." She went on and on and on about his work, as fast as she could and even threw in her own examples about it.

"You could probably picture this for yourself by understanding this thought experiment. Imagine that you’re on a spaceship and holding a laser so it shoots a beam of light directly up, striking a mirror you’ve placed on the ceiling. The light beam then comes back down and strikes a detector. However, the spaceship is traveling at a constant speed of half the speed of light, or 0.5c, as any physicist would write it. According to Einstein, this makes no difference to you— as you can’t even tell that you’re moving. However, if someone was spying on you, it would be a different story. They would see your beam of light travel upward along a diagonal path, strike the mirror, and then travel downward along a diagonal path before striking the detector. In other words, you and the spy would see different paths for the light and, more importantly, those paths aren’t even the same length. This means that the time the beam takes to go from the laser to the mirror to the detector must also be different for both of you, so that you both agree on the speed of light."

Simple physics. Really, it was one of the laws she knew by heart.

"This phenomenon is known as time dilation, where the time on a ship moving very quickly appears to pass slower than on Alternia. Did that help?"
