About the family

Ogon'krylo - The father of the litter, he's of a much newer bloodline. And a bit of a controversial one. His mother is the strange lioness Elcca, while his father is the Nergui Miah. Yeah, that makes for some fun interactions. He constantly feels the need to prove that his bloodline does NOT mean he's going to turn on the only pride he's ever known, and he's hoping that this litter will improve what he perceives is his image within the pride. He has one brother and two sisters in the pride. At least one sister is more suspected than he is of where her loyalties might lay, that he's noticed. He's mostly quiet, but has a strong snark to some of his comments. He often attempts to be tactical with what he says. Interestingly, and something he doesn't openly advertise, he's a seer. Arevik - The litter's mother, she's... Actually not very Firekin. Born as white as her mother but with none of the spark, she's constantly second-guessing her place in the pride. She can be very shy, and doesn't often bond with others. She had hoped that the litter would help ignite her inner fire, and failing that, she'd at least leave a legacy within the pride. Her inner fire seems to not have improved at all, though. Her family line is as old as the pride itself, with her bloodline tracing back to the second-to-last king of the pride, Makadari. Unknown to her, and most of the pride, it also traces to Finar-si, one of the multiple gods in the litter's family line. Like Ogon, she's a seer, and prefers to not advertise it, though a few lions know(Mostly family, and Ogon). Like her great-uncle, she uses it to find water. (Andranis)

Alamea - While it may seem strange to count Alamea as family, the OOC secret to this is that she's their future step-mother. She's Hongshan born, grew up a slave of the Nergui, and as a result had an immediate dislike of Ogon based purely on his lineage. She's initially the biggest hater in the pride of Ogon's family. But seeing him interact with these cubs, and how pure and innocent they still are, is certainly warming her up. Initially lean due in part to her treatment amid the Nergui, time has proven she's simply a lean-muscled lioness. Very unlike Ogon, she's actually fluent in Nergui, and very unlike both Ogon and Arevik, she's not a seer. (Andranis)

Led'krylo - The second-oldest sister of the litter, and the most glaring of Huria in a while. Blue markings here and there are one thing, but she's ENTIRELY blue. Where her parents are reserved or shy, she's loud and prone to picking fights. Led very much has that fire in her, making it a shame that she'll have to leave. But she fully plans to send any color-appropriate children back to the pride. (Andranis)

??? - Third-born daughter, she really shows her paternal bloodline. Ogon has noted how much she looks like himself and his nearly-twin sister, though he has no idea just how much she looks like her great-grandmother, Petra. (Excited Apathy)

Sanguinis Ignis - Second-born brother, he's the reddest of them all. Arevik's noted how he looks like a number of relatives, between his mainly-red coat and his black mane. She also thinks he looks a bit like her first cousin, Kimeti. (Kitsune Mistress Nyoko)

Sekhmet - Showing off the bone markings in the family, Sekhmet also shows some of the Mizimu markings... And hints of the blues that hide in the bloodline. (Astoria Fallen)

Moto Utulivu - At first Arevik thought blood had stained his white coat, but then it turned out to be his markings! He's also inherited their uncle's heterochromia, and a variation of the Mizimu markings.

There might be two more siblings!

The first-born girl of the litter, she's as dark as a shadow with wing markings that look dipped in blood. Her name is Groyacheye'krylo, one heck of a mouthful.

Her name means Hot Wing, something that cracked me up too much to pass up, and given she's a lion in 1960's Africa, she'll never know that her name is a great bit of hilarity or even WHY.

(Also why is the Russian word for hot so long?)

Future rank: Soldier
Personality: Gorya is the stalker in the shadow. The faint rustling noise you hear just before something pounces you. She is definitely a do-it-on-her-own kind of girl. A fight won't phase her, but she hates to loose so watch your back or you'll feel her claws in it for revenge. Gorya has the spark her mother never found.
What does she think of the fact her mother might leave? She's on the fence about it, unable to understand her mother's missing spark.
How does she feel about her Huria sister? Gorya is fascinated by her huria sister. She wants to comprehend why so blue a lioness has so much spunk! If encouraged, she would follow her sister into the roguelands, she's that intrigued.

Future rank: Guard
Personality: Independedent, bossy and irreverent, Gory bulldozes through interactions and blames it on her Firekin flame. She likes ordering adults around and while some might indulge her, she often gets into trouble for it. As an adult, she will seek night shifts of guard duty, using her dark pelt to sneak up on unsuspecting intruders in the dead of night and scare them to death. She will pretty much live for the challenges.
What does she think of the fact her mother might leave? She will be confused and secretly - or perhaps not so secretly - blame herself for being too rough and demanding. She will always feel that if she were a "nicer daughter", mommy wouldn't have left.
How does she feel about her Huria sister? She will try to toughen her up by constantly badgering her to play fight and then take credit for Led's strenght and fire. She might border on annoying when interacting with her sister but she will beat anyone from outside the family (to the best of her cub abilities...xD) who verbally abuses Led. She will be terribly hearbroken as the time nears for her sister to leave and will try to convince Led to join the Bonelands (even thoug they dont like blue pelts either...) just so that she remains close to the pride and safe. As an adult, Gory will be terrified of having cubs lest one or more be blue and forced to leave te pride just like Led.

Future rank: Soldier to start, hopefully will work her way up the ranks when the oppertunity arrises.
Personality: Determined, with a strong personality, she can often be stubbon and unyielding. Her fire is not the easily sparked roaring flash of many a firekin, but the cold, ever-burning flame of the stars. She is a silent hunter, with infinate patience, determination and a clear, sharp mind. She rarely picks a fight with other pride members, but she stands by her convictions in a quiet and determined manner, as immovable as the moutains.
What does she think of the fact her mother might leave? She doesn't understand why anyone would wish to leave their home. But family is family and she will support both her mother and her hurai sister. She will also rip into anyone who speaks ill of her mother for her choice.
How does she feel about her Huria sister? She thinks it's a shame that Led was born the wrong colour, as she respects her sister for her attitude and fighting ability. She will fully support her sister and will be keeping an eye out for any sons and daughters that eventually return to the pride, so she can take them in and help them be proper firekin, as their mother was.

This is now closed! A day late, because I was flat tired and had to be up stupidly early in relation to my shift... And plum forgot. I'll go through the entries for Hot Wing tomorrow ~

I really hope she gets the chance to be Aunt Awesome!!!! I love that Led still sees herself as firekin and is chill with the hurar thing. Looking forward to eping them together!
