Sadachbia was feeling pretty chipper tonight.

Something in the air seemed to tingle with the promise of a good time, even if no one had really shown up yet. She was either going to meet someone neat, have an intense but fair battle, or maybe both. That was the feeling she got from tonight.

As she bounded across the rooftops, a twinkle registered at the edge of her senses. It seemed that tonight's encounter wasn't so far off. She changed destinations, hopping from roof to roof towards the other senshi's aura. Who would be waiting on the other side? Would they be a rookie, or someone experienced? Abrasive or gentle? There was, of course, only one way to find out.

Sorry for the delay!

Sabine had found her patrols had been growing longer as of late, probably, she realized, to tire herself out and allow her the chance to fall into a deep, dreamless sleep. It was also probably why she'd taken to carting the backpack around now, the added weight making the longer patrols just that much more physically exhausting. She was glad School wasn't starting for a little bit longer, but she knew she would have to cut back on her nightly rounds soon enough.

The aura of another senshi caught her attention as it suddenly moved to head her way, a small smile crossed her lips as she moved down from the edge of the rooftops to where she had tucked the back against the ledge to keep it in place while she had scouted out with that aura sense to see if she could catch any Negaverse agents or youma. So far, no luck, but a friendly face was welcome.

Opening the bag, she pulled out a thermos and two camping cups, and placed them next to the bag for when her 'guest' would arrive.

When the other girl landed on her rooftop, she bowed her head, dropping into a shallow curtsy. "Sailor Sabine, Senshi of Tactics... It's nice to see another friendly face out here tonight."

Rising from the curtsy, she crouched down to pick up the thermos and cups. "Tea?"

It wasn't long before Sadachbia found her target. The polite greeting earned a smile in response. "Sadachbia, Senshi of Construction. And I agree, it's definitely nice to find allies out here." She cocked her head and mulled the offer of tea over. "Hmm. What kind of tea is it? I like tea that's got a flavor to it." Her attention shifted to the bag Sabine was towing around. "I think you're the only senshi I've seen who takes a bag around. Having stuff nearby and not just in subspace must be handy, but what do you do with it in a fight?" She paused, then added, "Is it heavy enough for you to whack people with? That might be helpful."

Sabine nodded her head. "It's Earl Grey tonight... So it's got a nice hint of bergamot," She said, with a small smile, popping open the thermos and filling one cup, waiting for a moment to let Sadachiba decide if she actually wanted some or not. It would not do to pour and then Sadachiba decide to not want any, it would not do indeed.

"I've found subspace to be somewhat more of a hindrance than a help," Sabine said with a bit of puff to her cheeks. "If I need something I need it... NOW... not in the time it takes for me to even remember I have to there... So yeah... I've started to carry the bag around. It's got a first aid kid and some other items that might be helpful... It's pretty hefty and might help me if I got into a fight, but more often than not if it looks like I'm gonna fight it's gonna get tucked in a corner somewhere until I can find it again. Unless the Negaverse agent jumps me... Then they're gonna get it full in the face."

"Bergamot?" Welp. There was one word Sadachbia didn't really recognize. Surely it wasn't anything foul or harmful, though some people had very different senses of taste and could pass off ridiculously bitter things as normal. She paused for a moment, then decided that accepting the offer of tea wouldn't hurt (and if she didn't like it, she could dump it out on some Negaverse agent's head). "Hmm... sure. I'll give it a try." When Sabine explained the cons of subspace, Sadachbia found herself inclined to agree. "That makes sense. I don't think you can put normal things in subspace anyway. Now you've got a weapon and first aid!" She had decided that she liked this Sabine, who wasn't afraid to give it to Negaverse agents full in the face. The girl was gutsy and practical. She seemed to be a fitting Senshi of Tactics.

"It's a kind of orange," Sabine replied with a small smile, but poured the tea and handed the cup to her. "It shouldn't be undrinkably hot." She added with a small smile, before closing up the thermos and grabbing her own cup. Then she gently sat down next to the bag, tucking her knees in front of her so she could sit on the top of the building as she sipped at the tea.

"I try to avoid using it as a weapon though, simply because if a officer takes it then I'd have to get a new one and... well... My allowance might be pretty big but it's not infinite." She said with a bit of a huff and puff of her cheeks.

'But that's neither here nor there... It's just something I decided to start doing because it's useful." She said with a shrug. "Right now though, I'd be happy if we didn't have to deal with the Negaverse for a long while."

Sadachbia inspected the tea, resisting the urge to give it a sniff. There was no reason to find the offering suspicious, and again, she could dump it out on a Negaverse agent's head if it didn't taste right. She took an idle sip of the tea and nodded. "Hmm, it's not bad. Not sure what I was expecting though." It tasted a bit better than the scented hot water she tended to get stuck with whenever she made tea (which wasn't often, because coffee was more effective).

The mention of an allowance brought a wry smile to her face. "Heh, you're telling me. I've got a friend who's like, 'buy this! buy this! Come on, get this game and play it with me!' and she doesn't seem to realize that I need to save up for things. You should see my coupon stacks at home." Megrez really wanted Sadachbia to play certain video games with her. Unfortunately for her, Sadachbia was selective in her gaming.

"Hmm." Sadachbia mulled over the statement about not wanting to deal with the Negaverse. "I guess it would be nice, but it kind of worries me. People might get complacent, and then BAM, the Negaverse strikes while everyone is sleeping in. I'd prefer a low hum of activity- just little things here and there to keep people from going soft." Perhaps the urge to fight had been too ingrained into her psyche, but as it stood, she didn't like the idea of complete radio silence from the Negaverse unless they were definitively defeated.

There was a long pause from Sabine as Sadachiba spoke of coupons and saving up for things. A hint of color rose to her cheeks as she recalled another conversation she'd had not too long ago about her... liquidity. She decided she'd just not comment on that particular thing at the moment, almost hating that she'd brought it up herself before Sadachiba was moving on to talk about the Negaverse.

This topic too, Sabine would have not have minded avoiding but it seemed that, as the sun rose in the east, so too must Senshi talk about the Negaverse and the neverending war.

"I'm not saying complacency per say... I'm saying that we get to a point where they do their thing, we do ours, and they don't fight us and we don't fight them..." She tried to skirt the issue as much as she could before finally giving a sigh. "To be honest, I'd rather come to a peaceful arraingment between the two and coexist... than fight this stupid war to it's conclusion."

Because there could only be... ONE conclusion, and Sabine did not believe in genocide.

Sadachbia made another thoughtful noise. "Hmm. I guess that sounds nice on paper. But think about what 'their thing' is. Their 'thing' is draining energy from people and taking their starseeds. I don't know where all that energy and all those starseeds go, but it can't be anywhere good. Even if it did go somewhere good, well... is it worth the cost of the people they target?" She paused as she hit upon something. "Ugh. I wish I knew if it did go somewhere good. If all these little short-term costs were going to add up to something awesome for everyone, then I might think twice about trying to knock some sense into every officer I see." When it came down to it, she didn't want to completely dismiss Sabine's idea of coexistence, but she still had serious doubts that the Negaverse could ever be up to anything good.

Sabine let out a low sigh. "No, you're right, they're not really decent people and most of them seem more than happy to cause harm to innocent people. It's just... Sometimes I wonder if we're going at this the wrong way."

She pulled a face, but then shook her head. "I doubt that any of it is going anywhere good... When we were down there during the... attempted invasion... we found a whole stockpile of starseeds... I doubt they were using them for anything beneficial."
