Rest, Xifeng had said. Her ancestor was not one to suggest such lightly, but Cordoba was pretty sure she knew not there was war on Earth. Regardless, she'd come home and now had patrols not a day later. Routes to explore and walk, auras to feel for. Thoughts to consider, and Cordoba hummed, eyes half-closed as she moved deftly, and shrugged. Maybe it would be quiet, but she doubted it.

Lt. Crocoite was feeling more and more confident in his role as a soldier of the Negaverse. Not that he had ever lacked confidence in his life, really. It was just that he now felt like he understood the rules a bit better, and found where some of the boundaries were. Particularly with his General, Painite. And that was a very important lesson for him.
Mostly because he'd learned that one the hard way. Which was a lesson in itself, as it taught him he no longer wanted to do things the hard way.
He felt an aura not too far off, glancing up at the sky to gauge the time thoughtfully. The night was still early, and he'd only gathered a little energy so far. It might be worth it to see if he could get some from a white moon soldier. Or a starseed.
He would always accept a starseed.
Walking casually, he made his way toward the aura, finding they seemed to be heading toward each other. That would make finding it easier, at least.

The chaos aura was near. Cordoba registered it readily enough - she'd encountered Chaos before,and for self defense the page summoned her weapon - a precaution over a threat, as she moved slowly to investigate. She had to be on guard naturally. Attack was likely, but soon she sighted the agent from her space, and considered her options - the mellow, friendly attitude she tried when anxious, or attempt confrontation. She decided to approach neutrally, forcing a bored look before nodding. "Looking for something?"

The Lieutenant looked at the young woman he ended up running into, tilting his head to the side. He liked to be calm and gathered in these encounters, though underneath his almost friendly persona was a very vicious creature. He believed in power, and wanted only a few things from the white moon. And most of those things came easier when the white moon soldier in question was dead.
He was still curious about the differences between a civilian star seed and a powered one. Could one see the difference between them, after they were removed? Could one then discover a starseed they pulled from a civilian was in fact a powered soldier who never got the chance to fight back? He had almost attacked a powered down Negaverse agent the other night, after all.
What would a Chaos starseed look like? What power capabilities would it provide?
All very interesting questions, but most for another time.
He nodded his head at her question, offering her a leisurely smile.
"I felt your aura, of course, and came to investigate. Often times, I find, you will come to me either way. It seems prudent to meet before I'm in the middle of some other plan, you know. Fewer interruptions that way."

"Well not every plan from the Negaverse is exactly healthy for every party involved. Still midway does work well doesn't it?" She didn't let her guard down, but Cordoba was not going to lash first. Let them do it, was her logic. Defend herself. She had no reason to not - she wasn't a fan of constant combat. She wanted to entertain, to cause dance and music. She had no plans to consider a fight first. But she was getting very used to defending herself. "So what draws you out tonight? Me, I'm just keeping people alive." It was her only warning, but polite she felt - attacks would not be tolerated in her area - but that didn't mean she couldn't imply that. Hopefully he didn't decide her starseed was a new target for it. But, she reminded herself. She would defend herself.

Crocoite watched her almost patiently, thinking she did not seem all that intimidating. But then, neither had the other one, the Eternal Senshi, and she had been able to bring Painite to her knees. He had to be more careful in the fights he picked, but he also had a lot of ground to make up from his last failure.
"It seems we are at odds, then," he said, grinning at her in a leisurely, almost pleasant way, "as I am generally taking life from people. Perhaps not entirely, most of the time, but certainly in increments."
He lifted his cane, it's crocodile head glimmering with the movement. It had no magic, no real strength, but boy did it make him feel confident and powerful. He knew that the way one looked and conducted themselves went just as far in being truly strong as the skills they used to back it all up.
"Tonight, though, I have a specific target. And you, my dear, fit that bill. Forgive me for this." He charged, not seeming too cut up about it, despite asking for forgiveness. Probably because he did not really want, or need, it. He took his cane in both hands, swinging it like a bat.

This promised to be painful if it connected. For a moment, Cordoba had hoped he wasn't going to strike, but when he did move - when he spoke, the idea of talking it out vanished and th4e Mercury page spun, mind processing quickly. She spun to try blocking with her weapon, motion wobbly as the disc was off balance. It was meant to be thrown, not used to shield, buyt Cordoba didn't fancy a broken arm, and the page hissed, scowling. "What, you think you can write the check? I think you might find if I'm fitting any bill, your but will find it uncashable." ...OK, she needed to stop borrowing the geek music.

Crocoite growled as his attack was stopped, his sharp, angry gaze zeroing in on her as she spoke. He snorted indignantly, pulling his arm back, holding the cane in one hand now, and lifted it up to swing it down at her like a club this time.
The cane was a good size and weight for the varying styles of swinging, and he was still learning which attack felt the best for him. This way, with one arm, allowed him more mobility, and he liked the idea of being able to rain down multiple hits in quick succession if he got the chance. The two armed method meant much harder blows, but slower and more unwieldy close range.
There were still plenty of other options, too, but he was working each one individually.
"What is that supposed to be?" he saw her weapon, grinning. Knights had pathetic excuses for weapons, he had noticed so far. Nothing like the ones the Negaverse got, especially as they got stronger. Painite's spear came to mind, one of the few General rank weapons he had seen so far but a very lovely one. He wanted to see what his cane would become, and that meant winning as many fights as he could.

And the plane cleared the first tower. Cordoba smirked, jumping and moving, working one arm up to block and grimaced as the cane connected. Luckily, her arm didn't seem to break, but a jolt of pain, an odd tingle, and a weird feeling overall told her that one, she was going to bruise, and two, the bruise went down to bone, ay minimum. Alrighty, she could work with this - and speak to her mother's boyfriend about those self defense courses he persistantly offered. Still, one hand was free to weild her disc and she quickly moved it to grip sideways, a slow grin spreading on her face. She could taste her own eagerness to lash and it was a delicious butterscotch flavor - likely, she mentally noted, the fact she usually saw her emotions got to strong - or she had forgotten her medication. "It means you're not kicking my a**." Cordoba drawled, and the plane cleared the other tower. "As for this?" Cordoba grinned,, and lashed, making a slicing motion with her disc. Oh, she was sure it wasn't a lethal weapon, but creativity would hurt. "This is my precious." .... She was having WORDS with Hui Jun's niece about this nerd spreading.

Crocoite felt suddenly very old and out of place. This girl was clearly... special... and for half a second he almost felt bad for picking a fight with her. But, then again, anyone with the power of the white moon behind them needed to be stopped.
This was just not a starseed he needed in his collection.
Crocoite pulled back, keeping his cane up and himself blocked in case of an attack. She seemed too busy making references to do anything too dangerous, though.

Good, he was on defense. Cordoba flashed a grin - the sort she wore on occassion when she knew she was out of line, and gripped her disc like a discus thrower. Would it work? Would it fail? She had no idea, but if pictures of Discus throwers said much - if the internet said anything at all.... Well, hopefully she could recall it fast enough to protect herself again. Cordoba twisted her arm back, and spun, throwing the disc much like a discus thrower without much verbal warning, eyes focusing on Crocoite. It wasn't really a good throw - she generally didn't know how to do this correctly, let alone aim, but she was ready to try blocking with her arm if needed. Or recall her weapon if able. She hoped she was.

Crocoite was surprised when she hurled the discus at him, echoing the movements of some kind of Olympian. It was clear she had either been practicing with this weapon, still learning about it like he was his own powers, or maybe she had just watched some old tapes... and that whole internet thing.
He did not spend too much time on youtube, himself, but he knew its importance in the day to day culture of today.
because he had not been anticipating it, the disc smacked him right in the face, causing his nose to bleed and making him recoil with a sharp, startled yelp. It did not hurt, not really, and he knew the nose wasn't broken but... it was a larger target than he liked to admit, and it seemed to be working against him now. He covered his face with his hand, looking beyond angry.
"How dare you?!" he said, indignation taking over for his fighting instincts. He did not mind battling, but was not a fan of actual injuries or being on the receiving end of one. This was going to bruise!

She got him? IT WPORKED! She'd hae to make sure with Xifng she'd acted correctly on her next Wonder visit, but for now her victory was only as far as she dared - a motion. "Oh, yes, how dare I defennd myself. How rude of me." Her voice dripped sarcastically, and she motioned, snorting. She wondered, and held her hand as it summoning her weapon, glad when it returned to her hand, and the page grinned sharply, moving forwards a step. "How dare I value living over death, is that it? Well you can deal.That's what happens when you attack people. They fight back." She growled the last few words, and huffed. She didn't like fighting - normally it made her anxious, but this... Helped a little. She actually fought and did WELL, instead of fought and hid. And it wasn't as if she enjoyed it - she preferred speech - but this one seemed irrationally hateful of Order. Might as well give a good reason.
