(If your normal attack landed, it will still do damage, but you will receive no magic benefit, and lose 1 MP anyways) ❧ Rolling 5 or 6 will amplify your damage by 1 point, and cost 2 MP. 7 or 8 by 2 points and cost 3 MP. 9 or 10 will add 3 points and cost 4 MP ❧ If you have more than one opponent, please specify who you are attacking. ❧ If you roll an attack and it hits, and roll a magic attack higher than your current mana, then you just use the highest magic attack you can afford. If your attack misses, you just ignore the magic roll. ❧ If you run out of mana, you can still keep battling but just roll the first dice, doing physical attacks. Victory ❧ Participating in a private battle will give you 1 shop point, whether you win or lose. ❧ Please make note in the thread topic that your battle is finished, and I or a manager will make a short OOC note of the participants receiving the shop points. The winner will have a chance to gain an item. The battle manager in charge will roll for what item they will receive, then the winner must roll 1d4 to see if they win that item. 1-2 is fail, 3-4 is win. ❧ In the future, there may be familiars who increase your odds of winning the item. Before Titan 6 HP 6 MP Vynwood 7 HP 7 MP Attack outcome: Miss. After Titan 6 HP 6 MP Vynwood 7 HP 7 MP No problem! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Titan bowed and then sized up Vynwood. He was older than his young green challenger but he had a touch more experience when it came to sparring. The wind tousled his fur, whipping it in his face. Titan's muscles tensed and then in one fluid motion he lunged at Vynwood. His overthinking of the attack made him easy to read and the attack missed. Side stepping, he regained his composure and waited for his opponent to make his first move.

Vynwood hadn't sparred before, but knew in his heart that he had to protect the woods from any potential predators. Titan stood tall before him, but Vynwood didn't falter. He dodged Titan's initial attack, heart racing as he paced a moment before taking his first move.
He lunged at Titan with a hopeful gleam in his eye, but Titan had dodged it with ease. Vynwood growled under his breath, eager to make the first hit but not letting it bring him down.

Before Titan 6 HP 6 MP Vynwood 7 HP 7 MP Attack outcome: Hit. -1 hp, -1hp from magic, -2mp (Titan) After Titan 6 HP 4 MP Vynwood 5 HP 7 MP We are not off to a very good start. Both misses for the first roll xd Titan warily danced on his toes and assessed the field and his green opponent. Vynwood was quick on his feet, and it was possible that both underestimated each other at the beginning of this match. The younger Elykosi seemed intent on winning, and Titan was not about to give up. The calculated attack approach had not worked, so Titan went for gut reactions, hoping that he would be less easy to read. His somewhat reckless charge hit Vynwood in the side, amplified by the magic that Titan drew upon. As the magic's green light faded, Titan raced out of paws reach and readied himself. It was a good hit, but not a crippling one. Vynwood was still in the fight!

Vynwood felt a pain surge through his rib cage from the side blow and winced. Determined not to show his pain, he stumbled and grounded himself before quickly turning around and pouncing, hoping to catch Titan off-guard.
He nicked Titan's front left paw as he landed, scratching it as he swept by. He could feel a warmth radiating within his body, an unknown power of magic he had not yet attempted to use. Perhaps next round he could bring forth that power he was awakening?

Before Titan 5 HP 4 MP Vynwood 5 HP 6 MP Attack outcome: Hit -1 hp attack, -2 hp from magic, -3 mp (titan) After Titan 5 HP 1 MP Vynwood 2 HP 6 MP Titan gave a little yelp at the attack, more out of surprise than pain. He hadn't anticipated Vynwood's quick retaliation. A few more spars and Vynwood would be a powerful opponent, he thought. Titan drew deeply upon his magic. Better make this one count. He paused and then jumped at Vynwood head on, headbutting the younger elykosi in the forehead. Titan gave a quick burst of magic to strengthen the blow. The green light blinded him but allowed him to stumble away. He was a bit dizzy from the headbutt and the drain from the magic. Regretting headbutting Vynwood on his skull, he tried to regain his composure and put on a strong front.

Vynwood flew backwards upon impact, a painful electric pulse flying through his body from his head through the base of his tail. He didn't make the landing either, and stumbled backwards. It wasn't that he had underestimated the creature, no; he had just put too much confidence in himself that it backfired. He had lost his composure, and was now paying the price.
He got up slowly with a groan, thankful that Titan let him balance himself before attempting to strike again. He decided to attempt to fake out Titan, regaining the adrenaline he needed to jump left, then right, then back again in a sporadic race towards the enemy. He appeared as if he would charge from the left, but quickly jumped to the right and bit at the base of Titan's neck, leaving himself completely exposed.

Before Titan 4 HP 1 MP Vynwood 2 HP 5 MP Attack outcome: Hit -1 hp After Titan 4 HP 1 MP Vynwood 1 HP 5 MP Titan's watchful eyes tracked Vynwood as he approached, but the attack he anticipated was not the one that landed. Taken off guard, the ruse worked and left Titan in a precarious situation. Titan whipped his head around and gave the young challenger a sharp kick with his front leg to dislodge the unwanted bite. He swiftly backed off to prevent another surprise attack and prepared.

Vynwood scooted backwards with the unexpected kick, but ran again towards him. Right before he would run into Titan, Vynwood lept up in the air using gravity's weight to help pack a punch.
But to Vynwood's dismay, he lept too far and came tumbling downwards.

Before Titan 4 HP 1 MP Vynwood 1 HP 5 MP Attack outcome: hit -1 After Titan 4 HP 1 MP Vynwood 0 HP 5 MP Titan stepped to the side and watched Vynwood fall. He saw that the young elykosi was getting tired. He quickly attacked with a not overly powerful, but still effective blow. It was a good match. Titan gave Vynwood a bow in acknowledgement!

Vynwood's shoulders sunk, realizing he had been beat. He reminded himself that Titan could have gone without sparing him, but the Elykosi was kind and forgiving enough to let him go. He bowed in recognition, and picked himself up to lick his wounds farther in the woods.
Maybe someday he could be as strong as Titan, if not more... Maybe.
