Everyone has gathered at the designated location. Those from Below were granted free transportation to Above. Everyone was ordered to bring a compass, a flashlight, and warm clothes. The trip is expected to take a week, but it's been warned that it could take longer if need be. A sense of excitement rushes over everyone as they begin to approach the black and blue bus (shaped like a rather large carriage) that waits for them patiently by a dirt road, the baggage compartment open and waiting for their belongings.
A tall demon awaits the group, purple skin contrasting against the green grass that surrounded the location. Red eyes curved as a smile exploded across their features, arm raising and waving frantically towards the group. The tall and slender demon wastes no time quickly tying their waist length black hair into a ponytail before trotting over to greet everyone.
"Oh wow! They told me it'd be a big group, but wowie! I didn't expect such a turn out! Luckily we got a big bus, eh?" Grinning ear to ear, the demon jerked a hand towards the bus, head nodding in the general direction.
"Well, lets not waste time! Get your stuff in and strap yourself in! We'll be off in a few minutes! Don't worry 'bout introductions, we'll have plenty of time on the way for that!"
While people began to pack their bags in and settle the demon busied themselves with tucking away large suitcases by the drivers seat, where what seemed to be a closet was hidden away. The bus was rather spacious, offering warm, plush seats, wifi, and a bathroom in the back. When everyone had finally settled down the demon hopped up from their spot by the front, whistling sharply for everyone to cease chatter and listen.
"Alright! Exciting day, right? My name is Claire, and I'm your guide today! As you all know, we're heading to the Forbidden Forest. I mean, no one has named it, yet, but I thought that was a cool name, right? Totally is. Anyway, the ride is going to be a few hours. We should get there by night, and then we'll camp. Tomorrow, we'll be on our way towards the places where people usually end up turned around and see what goes from there!" They paused, head tossing back and forth before, as if just remembering something, they piqued back up.
"Oh, yeah, this is a good time to get to know each other! We'll be stuck with each other for awhile, so don't be shy! Introduce yourselves! I'll be the driver, but don't be afraid to talk to me, too!" With a sly wink, Claire settled into their seat, turning the bus on.
During this time, everyone is within the bus. It's probably best to RP introducing yourselves to one another within this thread, and get to know the other players, as you'll be stuck together for awhile. Who knows, you might even be teamed with certain people later in the Meta depending on how this stage goes!
You may speak to the driver, but be aware they have about as much information as you do! They have no clue what lays in the forest, or what happens should they somehow enter it! Claire is a they, as they are androgynous, so please use the correct pronouns! Quote Yushika if you are addressing Claire!
Official posts will be on Nightmare Ava! Expect any RP changing events to be on that account! A new event will pop up on the 6th!
As a note, the bus functions like other horseless carriages! Above and Below lack cars, instead having carriages of all shapes and sizes that float. The bus is, essentially, a massive carriage.

Aurora was so excited about this trip, she had never been to the above, let alone been to a place that was supposed to be uncharted territory. She was bouncing on her paws waiting for it to be time to leave her house to meet the group and see the bus. Aurora carried her backpack with her small two person tent on the back and her sleeping bag and other camping stuff she thought she would need for the trip. She kept a smaller bag with her with drinks and snacks in it. She greeted the group with a warm smile and said "Hi I'm Aurora. I run a bookstore." Her tail moved about behind her and her ears twitched, she was pretty sure she didn't have to tell anyone she was a grimm. She figured that was a given for everyone present. After introducing herself, Aurora went and took a seat on the bus towards the front to wait for them to head out. The forbidden forest or at least that's what the purple demon had called it, since apparently, it didn't have a name of its' own yet. Aurora was wearing a sweater, jacket, and jeans since she didn't know what the weather was like in the forbidden forest she wanted to be ready just in case it was cold. She had packed shorts and tee shirts as well in her backpack in case the forest was hot, though she couldn't do anything about her fur. OOC Open to rp, just quote me.

It had been a lot easier than expected to get herself a compass and flashlight. Even the warm clothes and sturdy backpack she'd crammed them into had been easy. Somewhat harder had been getting the signed permission slip allowing her to go. Still, Zahneel wasn't complaining by any means! Tail wagging, she grinned cheerfully back at the demon who greeted them and shoved her backpack where she was directed before climbing into the bus.
And, as she selected a seat near the front, she had to admit that she was impressed. The group would be traveling in style and she was getting to see Above. She'd have so much to tell Eliza about when she got back! Snuggling down into her seat, she watched as everyone boarded and decided to indulge in some curiosity.
"How did you get into this business, Claire?" she asked cheerfully enough. "Taking tours into Above, I mean. It seems like very interesting work."Quote: Anyone's free to talk to Zahneel. I just won't be able to respond until tomorrow morning~ nepsah Hello, frand. Wanna be seat mates? o uo

Coralie was once again out and experiencing new things after her experience with the Naked and Afraid adventure she had gone on. It wasn't everyday one got a chance to go to the Above and explore such a strange and unexplored forest! Even if her leg still hurt very little from her last adventure, having really injured it and now have a small limp from it, she still didn't let that detour her from coming along. After all, it was just a little pain. Surely this trip wouldn't cause her as much trouble as last time! Sure the form said she could get injured, but she didn't think that it would cause too much injury. Besides, the doctor said her leg was fine for going on this trip anyway! Since not a lot of people were talking at the moment, the Nixie decided to introduce herself first, getting up so everyone would know it was her who was speaking. Might as well assert herself and make everyone think she was able to handle all this ", I am Coralie! I go to Asphodel Gardens Academy like many of you probably do, or have already done. When I graduate I plan to be an adventurer, going into unexplored areas or discovering new things in areas already been explored. I can't wait to get to know all of you more on this trip!" With that said, she sat back down and waited for someone else to speak.

At first Patches had been uninterested in the Advertisements for the tour in Above. She wasn't quite sure she was ready to even travel to Above, not after what had happened to her people during the War. She had grown up her whole life with the ability to see ghosts and going to a place called the "Forbidden Forest" seemed like she would just be asking to see something creepy. However, she slowly began to change her mind as her friend Mahuyah started to express her interest. It wasn't really all that often that Mahuyah insisted on doing something and Patches wasn't about to let her dive into a viper-nest all on her own. Metaphorically of course.
The more they talked about it and started to plan the trip the more the idea warmed up to her. She did love the idea of traveling, yes it was to Above, but it would still be enjoyable. She had a natural adventurous streak in her and the idea of exploring some place that no one else had yet was rather exciting. Besides, they'd be with a decently large group of individuals, could anything really go wrong? She figured the worst case scenario would be that they'd just get stuck returning to their beginning spot every couple of hours. It couldn't hurt to try.
When they arrived in front of the large horseless carriage that would be taking them to the forest, Patches was surprised to see just how many individuals had showed up. Some of them she recognized from school and many others she had no idea who they were. There were even some younger students and kids mixed into the group. Her mother-instinct kicked in and her tailed wagged happily behind her. She'd make sure nothing had to them, or at the very least she'd keep a watchful eye out for them. Of course, she also had Mahuyah to look out for.
She had one medium-sized suitcase that carried her change of clothes and some of her preferred snacks. They hadn't been advised to bring any food, so she only brought things she'd want to bunch on from time to time. She had a small backpack willed with her compass, flashlight, water bottle, and a plant guide. She wasn't sure any of the information in the book would be useful, there could be all sorts of plants that they didn't know about inside of the forest, but she decided it might come in handy. Might being a keyword there. She stuffed her suitcase where the tour guide directed her, but took her backpack up in the bus with her. It wasn't all that big and she was sure there would be room for it.
Claire, their tour guide, was advising them to introduce themselves. She settled for a seat close to the front, just so they could have easier access to Claire in case Mahuyah or herself had any questions they wanted to ask. Once she was settled in her seat, leaving the window seat of Mahuyah she turned around to address everyone else on the bus.
"Hi everyone! I'm Patches and I'm just a student at Asphodel for now. I'm actually sort of interested in doing this sort of thing as a career, so I decided to take a shot at the tour. Let's all have fun and be safe!" Her tail was wagging as she spoke and listened to other introduce themselves as well. She was quite interested in hearing what Claire had to say to the darker Grimm that has asked a question across the isle from her.

Tambre had been both excited and anxious about this trip. Even though her children lived, mostly, at the Academy, she couldn't help but feel apprehensive about leaving for this long. Leaving for long periods had been the reason she left the military, after all, and had instead started working in Law Enforcement. Still, there was a part of her that needed a trip and felt obligated to go, just in case there was something more nefarious going on in these woods, someone needed to be around that could help defend the masses.
There was also the more selfish reason if she was honest. Tambre had been feeling a need to get out and be social with other people, and working and coming home every night wasn't exactly the way to do so. So when it came time to speak, Tambre twitched a little nervously, she wasn't all that good at small talk. "I'm Tambre." She stated in an almost matter-of-fact tone. "I work in Law Enforcement." She almost hesitated, not everyone was fond of cops and she wasn't sure if mentioning that bit of information was something likely to keep her alone during this whole trip. Sure, she was used to being on her own, but she had come here to help get herself out of her shell, she just hadn't wanted to make it even harder for someone to approach her.Quote: If anyone wants to rp with me just quote me! =3

Naosu looked around eagerly as they boarded the bus, hoping to see one of her friends. She didn't see them yet, but there were so many people milling about, it was probably pretty easy to miss one person. Well, if they signed up, that was alright. Naosu would just make friends with others--she hoped.
She actively avoided peers who had teased her in the past, but fortunately there were plenty of other spots, she just had to figure out who looked most friendly--or snuggle up with her friend if they showed up soon. She was happy to be returning to Above, even though not going anywhere familiar. This forbidden forest was bound to be exciting and she could hardly wait! What exciting stories to tell her sister. She was sure she would have plenty to share. Who knew what supernatural elements lurked within? Noticing that people were speaking up and introducing themselves, Naosu took a lull as a chance to do so herself.
"Hello everyone. Naosu is Naosu!" She touched her chest under her flower as if anyone would have any doubt to whom she was referring. "She's just a student at Leviathan, but hopes to be a Nurse or Doctor one day! Naosu thought this tour might be fun and exciting, and she hopes to make many new friends!"

Xerxes’ eyes wandered over everyone that had already entered the bus and taken their seat. No familiar faces stared back at him, causing Xer to pout a tiny bit. Had had hoped one of his friends would have signed up for the trip but it didn’t see as if any of them were as interested in Above as he was. As a demon, Xerxes had grown up in Below. The only thing he knew about Above was the things he’d read about in history books or had learned from other people who’d moved from Above to Below. He moved down the aisle, moving past seats already occupied and finally settling on one, about midway back, that didn’t have someone already in it. Plopping down, Xer scooted over until he was up against the side of the buss and crossed his arms. Slouching down into the seat, he stared outside, watching as people continued to line up to get into the bus. Quote: If anyone wants to plops down into Xer's seat and try to make friends with him, I'm all for it. Invade his space, c'moooon. Haha. Just quote me if you do! Just keep in mind that he is still just a junior.

Nadinia lugged her suitcase behind her, occasionally grumbling when it slammed into her heel. She flipped her long hair over one shoulder, and let out an exasperated sigh. She'd jumped at the chance to return Above for any reason, even if exploring an unknown place was completely out of her element. ... And even if she'd only been Below for a little while. She just couldn't seem to adjust. How could her parents have thought that would be easy for her? Her nose crinkled, and she felt a lump building in the back of her throat. She sniffed once, and tried to concentrate on anything other that the prickly feeling in her eyes. She wasn't about to cry in front of a huge group of strangers!
Looking up, she caught sight of the coach, and put her back into hauling her suitcase. ... Maybe she didn't need as many outfits as she'd brought, but who knew what they'd run in to up there. Taking a deep breath, she swung her suitcase up to one hip, and into the luggage compartment. She swalloed once more, doing her best to get control of herself. Stepping onto the bus, she caught what Claire was telling the group.
She quietly listened to others introducing themselves, dreading needing to do the same. Nadinia wondered if anyone would think she looked like she was about to cry.
"I'm Nadinia. I'm, uh, a senior at Asphodel. I'm from Above, so, uh, I figured I'd like to see the Forest, if we, uh, get to..." She nervously smoothed her skirt, and darted towards the nearest empty seat bank. She sunk own as low as possible, and chewed on her lip.

Samhain had been excitedly nervous about this trip for weeks. His backpack, filled with everything he thought he would need had been sitting by his door as a constant fixture for days. It was kind of funny. He had thought that he had gotten over his travel bug, heaven’s knew that he had done enough traveling when he was little, Beltane had practically dragged him all over Below before he had escaped his guardian. However when he saw the sign ups he had signed up practically that second. It was an opportunity to explore something new and he had always wanted to see above. Then to the nervous part, he knew that he was a bit different, it was obvious just by looking at him, after all he was a Hallowed, and he had an interesting fashion statement in that he often wore a mask while in public. He had thought about possibly leaving the mask at home but that often lead to uh… interesting situations that he kind of wanted to avoid. As he got on the carriage he took a window seat near the back, but still close enough that he wasn’t isolated from everyone else. “Ah I guess it’s my turn isn’t it. Hello everyone, I’m Samhain. I’m a senior at the academy, although I am about one class away from graduating."

Claire had just turned the bus on, rummaging about in their handy dandy bag that had been set at their feet when they heard a question addressed to them. Tilting their head back to view Zahneel, they couldn't help but release a low, nostalgic sigh.
"You know, I haven't thought about that in ages." They hummed, returning to their adventure inside their bag. "When I was younger -- about your age -- I was an intern for a traveling agency. My mom set me up, actually. She was pretty fed up with me as a kid, since I kept getting bad grades left and right. Back then, travel to Above wasn't permitted, but we always dreamt about it. I used to help my mentor lead people around war ruins, and then a few years later I was officially an employee. When travel to Above was allowed, my mentor hand-picked a few employee's they trusted to man the first tour guide to Above, which I had the honor of being selected for! Aha!" They pulled out a map, grinning ear to ear as they began opening it.
"I became one of the main leaders shortly after, and took an interest in tours that revolved around the paranormal. News about the forest started surfacing, and as I was one of the few in the company allowed to take guides outside of Below, I was naturally selected to do this one. And, voila, here I am." Claire grinned at Zahneel, hand gesturing towards the bus at the word 'voila'. They returned to their map, humming thoughtfully as they double-checked their route.DaisyMilk Please quote Yushika and not Nightmare Ava

The moment Mahuyah had heard about this trip, it was all she could think about. She had written in immediately, almost begging in her letter to be picked for this amazing opportunity. This was history being made, and as a major history buff she was excited to see both the Above and the forest itself. Her parents hadn't been too thrilled over this whole thing, in fact they'd been pretty unhappy when she'd received the invitation, but all Mahuyah could think of was how wonderful this was going to be. It helped that Patches would be going with her, eased her mind about going alone yet being surrounded by others, since she had a crippling fear of meeting others. She knew logically it was safer in the group, but it didn't make her any less nervous.
As she approached the horseless carriage, she felt a pit forming in her stomach at how large of a crowd there was. Shifting the large backpack she carried and another smaller bag hooked over a shoulder, she looked desperately around for her friend. Oh Patches... where were you? Her anxiety levels continued to rise as she slowly approached the carriage to have her backpack stowed away: her backpack carried all of her main supplies, her smaller bag was just a carry on with a history book for her to read on the bus ride. Just in case she had to sit alone.
She climbed onto the bus in time to see Patches introducing herself, and gave her friend a shy wave. Crud, they had to introduce themselves to the group? She hesitated, looking over the group on the bus, then slowly lifted her hand up in a tiny little wave. "He-hello, I'm Mahuyah. I also attend Asphodel Gardens Academy, and am in the house of Eldritch." And that was about all she could get out before her voice crackled with a painful squeak and she hurried to take her seat next to Patches. Oh thank the gods that she had such a wonderful and thoughtful friend, who saved her the window seat. "Thank you, Patches." she said with a weak smile. "I'm so glad you came."
She peeked up a little at Claire as they answered the question addressed at them. How cool, to hear that they'd been to so many different places and seen so much of history. She was a little envious of Claire, and had a few questions of her own. Maybe she would be able to gather up that courage to ask them later.Quote: Anyone who's interested in talking with Mahuyah, please feel free... or teasing her, since she's an easy target

Clyde was more than excited for this trip! It was her first time out of the academy! Well... Other than field trips! The best part was that Ava had signed her permission slip so that she could go and check out this... Forbidden Forest, for her! Ava was far to busy at the academy to go see the wonders of the above! With all her gear packed and ready, Clyde stepped her happy chimera butt onto the bus. She looked for an empty seat, doubting that any one else would want to sit by her.
Ah perfect! She thought as she slipped into one of the back seats. With a nervous yet happy sigh, she hugged her backpack. It was a little nerve racking to leave the academy... she'd been there her whole life! Now as a junior, she could live her dream of adventuring! Pulling out a snack, she munched on some popcorn as she waiting for them to depart.

Ghester had to admit that he was pretty psyched for this trip. Not only was he going to get to see a new place, but his maybe girlfriend was coming with him, too! Nothing like getting the chance to sneak around in a forest and maybe try to snitch a kiss or two. Who could blame the guy?!
With a smirk on his face, he carried his duffle of crap and Bibi's -- which had only gods know how much stuff in it. Holy crap! "Hey Beebs... Do you really think you need all of whatever this is in here?" he said teasingly before putting their stuff under the bus in the storage area. Giving a wink, Ghester hopped up into the bus to grab them a seat. Luckily there was one nearby, so he bounded over some luggage in the isle and into the seat, shouting out "I got one, Pinkie!" and he wriggled in place as he waited for the cute geist to make her way in.

Niamh bounced a bit on her feet as she waited her turn. Her only concerns about this event was for her familiars back home... But a friend had PROMISED, faithfully, to care for them, and she would trust her friend. No matter what, she was here to explore, and find awesome new things. Maybe even new familiars! Anyway she looked at it, she had to focus on the trip, and not at all on what was back home. It's why she'd packed comfortable clothing, and lots of non-perishable foods. Hair brush, toothbrush, and other basic toiletries, but she didn't know if they'd have much chance to get clean. She had packed a lightweight sleeping bag, though, and some citronella based bug repellent. She didn't want any nasty bites! When it came time, she stowed her bag under the bus, and grinning, bounced up the steps. She looked around at everyone, with a beaming smile on her somewhat young face. "Hello, everyone! I am Niamh, and I am a junior at Asphodel Gardens!" She looked at everyone, happily. "I am super excited by this trip! I hope we find lots of awesome new things, and maybe meet awesome new people, if anyone is hiding in there!" She bounced to a seat, seeing a red and teal demon sitting on his own, and flopped into it. She forgot, often, that she had recently had a growth spurt and might be a bit... space squeezing. "Hey there! You already heard my name... what's yours?" She gave him a big grin.Tangle Puppet Niamh loves getting to know others... she'll be SERIOUSLY trying to make friends!
