Shen was woven with a passionate ambition and a headstrong nature that boarders on the reckless. He entered a tribe that was already tired and down-trodden, leaderless and without direction and took it upon himself to pull his kin to their paws and push them towards what he believes is a bright future. He's not so much cruel or "evil" per say as he is willing to do what he believes to be right at any cost. That cost, however, could just as easily come at the expense of others as well as himself. He's fully invested in his goal and will do everything in his power to realize it.

All his boasting and reckless ambition aside, he truly cares for the Fire Tribe and believes them to be the chief tribe woven. He wants to see his kin thrive, populate, and lead honorable lives.

Woven at a time when the fire tribe was leaderless, without direction or any sense of self pride, Shen took it upon himself to set the course to the tribe's future. He took advantage of the chaos, seized the throne for himself, and crushed those who opposed him. While his intentions are more or less pure, his methods are questionable at best.
