Nearly two months had passed since Sage had returned stateside from studying abroad for a year. All things considered life has been going well for the most part in her civilian life; most of the families she walked dogs for had re-hired her and she had managed to find a part time position at a veterinary clinic that was only a half hour commute away.

Daily life aside, her duties and responsibilities owed to the Dark Mirror court were severely lacking. In her defense though she did try to make it to the Star Wars exhibit but the dog she was walking had wiggled out of his harness somehow and took off like a bat out of hell along a busy street. The family was a new client and failed to pre warn her that there was a reason the dog was named Houdini. Either way, the fact of the matter was that she had let Sailor Computer Parts down and since then had shied away from powering up in fear of being reprimanded by Remarque, the Dark Mirror Prince, for being late.

Not that she had any real reason to fear him, he seemed nice enough anyway from what she got out of the meeting he had hosted in Mirror Space. But it didn’t negate the fact that she’d really rather not have to explain her reasonings for not showing up when she had committed to being there.

With a sigh Hekate opened her closed fist to reveal a shard she had been given to summon a wraith.

Cloaked in shadow the Senshi of Jinxes observed a woman locking up her dress alteration shop two stores down. She had waited patiently for the lady to finish what she was doing before pointing the shard in her directions and releasing the Mirror wraith.

It move in an almost serpentine path in an attempt to remain undetected and avoid direct beams of light from the overhead sign or street lamps that were evenly spaced along the five lane street. More silent than a hushed whisper, the creature passed through the civilian once and then a second time before Hekate summoned it back to her with a hushed command; “No more.” Reluctantly it obeyed and returned to her side less corporeal than it was before but still fairly see through.

“That’s enough. She’s tired as is.” The senshi explained as if the wraith could understand. “I’ll find you more people to drain but I’m not interested in leave bodies lying on the ground for someone else to take advantage of.” Hekate would have stroked the creature's back affectionately like one would do to an obedient dog but she didn’t want to test if the action would drain her too.

“Come, there is a club nearby with plenty of belligerent drunks stumbling around. They shouldn’t be driving home anyway so you can take what you want.” If it were possible the teal haired young woman would have sworn that the creature had smiled. A shiver raced down her spine but she remained unsure if it was because of the evening weather or the creature that kept her company on this slightly cloudy night.
