As a Lorata designated Hero™, Austri decided to take it upon herself to patrol the streets of Civisect City in search of other trolls worthy to be dazzled by her adorable yet badass niceness. It was almost exciting, really-- To think she'd lucked out being friends with a purpleblood-- and a sea-dweller at that! She was practically royalty!~ (Or at least, something close, she guessed. It counted!) And on top of all that good stuff, Lorata seemed like a pretty nice troll! She'd been so nice to her, it was really cool. She'd given her moon cakes too!!~ It seemed almost as if the Queen was smiling her way these days, so maybe, with enough luck, the greenblood would be able to meet and, more importantly, impress other, er, friendly trolls. Who needed help. Because you know, everyone needed a little help these days! Right? Definitely~
So with a determined yet cheerful gait, the young troll set off on her quest, long tendrils of hair framing her face as they curled and billowed in the nonexistent wind. She was practically skipping at this point, thankful Staglebro wasn't around-- He'd ruin the feeling she was trying to exude! He was somewhere in the skies with his bro-pals, and honestly, she hoped he'd stay there. For maybe... The whole night? Maybe?~
Over time, however, the more she patrolled the glittery streets of the fancy city, the more Austri grew weary. It was boring, walking down the streets over and over again, to the point that some trolls she passed by now and then looked at her weird. She wasn't weird! She was just trying to-- find trolls! And help them! Maybe this city wasn't the right one. Or-- Was it? In the distance, Austri heard a small shout-- At this point, the greenblood didn't care if it was a redblood or a purpleblood. Both had mouths, and both could definitely praise her for saving them. With a kick to the floor, the greenblood hurriedly began to head over to the yelp, determined to not miss this chance to impress yet another troll with her amazing talents.

Buffel trotted through Civisect, careful to keep through the shadows despite being in good spirits. Feelin’ ace-high after visiting Polair, he’d done his best to reign himself and keep a low profile as he stalked through the streets. As he’d entered the city, he allowed himself a casual run of his harmonica, earning more than a couple unwanted glares before he’d stopped. I fought long and hard with The Spirit to be allowed to go visit ‘er without supervision, if I get cached up in some gutter tryin’ to avoid a cullin’ I’ll never hear the end of it, he reminded himself. Still, there seemed little reason to be concerned. The streets were a bustling as was the usual, but nothing about the happenings around him seemed to be worthy of note. Stopping at a street corner, Buffel caught himself with harmonica in hand, poised to continue. Quietly admonishing himself again, he put it back in his pocket, embarrassed at not having the self control he’d grown used to. Taking a deep breath, he put his think-pan into work mode, steeling his expression and passing through the arms of the crowd with a soft touch and careful indifference. Just gotta get a few streets out and it’ll be less crowded, long as I don’t kick up a fuss for a hot minute I’ll be fine.No sooner had this thought passed then did a wail stop him in his tracks. Wheeling around to face it, his hand lept to his holster without a second thought. He paused, realizing some nearby faces had considered his concern stranger than the sound that caused it. As the jaded masses went on their way with no further care, Buffel sighed at himself, pacing his steps firmly in the direction of the cry. Welp, might as well give up on that low profile here and now.quite uneventful A wild Buffel appears on the scene!

The scream came from a teen tealblood, very refined, holding her hand to her chest and seeming extremely distressed. "THIEF!" He'd exclaimed as he pointed to the side where an anonymous troll rushed from the scene, a teal purse clutched in their hands. In that second Austri knew how much of a piece of cake the retrieval would be. She'd thrust up with a gust of wind, and kick the thief STRAIGHT in the FACE! It was perfectly envisioned, and Austri even released a small giggle of excitement as she pushed off the ground with gust of air, the force of the push enough to have her rocketing up in the air, up, up--
Oh no.
Austri's eyes widened as she rose far higher than she'd intended, her hands releasing too much power and thrusting her up, up, up in the air. Her eyes widened considerably and the kid simply watched underneath her as the thief continued to escape, hopeless anger beginning to take hold of her pump biscuit. What could she even do from this height?!?!
tenacious gadabout that's your cue! wink wonk edit: sorry for double quote ohoho

Hearing the source of the tealblood's cry, Buffel had now broken into full sprint. Thieves don't usually meander after a take. Darting quickly past taller trolls around him, bobbing through legs and keeping a centered eye on the only other person matching his pace ahead of him, Buffel kept an eye on his peripherals for anything to get the jump on the culprit with. Aside from some hazy thing floating above him (balloon maybe?) he saw a glint of a series of boxes ahead, giving the storefront wall to the left. He kept a steady eye on the culprit before him, while feeling his own waist in search until he found what he was looking for- a notch in the rope he kept tied to himself. Loosing it, he made his way toward the wall of the storefront. Finding the loop, he oversized it just in case and scrambled up the boxes. Reaching the top box, he took in the view before him, a sea of older trolls of varying height, size, and blood color. But among them, only one was sprinting. That's the mark alright.Eying up his throw, he tossed the ring wide, just looping around the thrashing thief. Buffel braced as the miscreant yanked at the rope, tightening it around themselves as they fell to the ground. Satisfied, the young yellowblood reeled in the lasso, walking over to the thief amidst some light applause from the crowd. ”Thank ya kindly folks, just helpin’ however I can!”This is a bit more of spotlight than I’d like. Best hurry up, return the lady’s beetlepouch and scram before I get got. He thought to himself. quite eventful Buffel to the rescue! Hopefully Austri doesn't pull him out of the shadows too much!

Austri watched it all happen with two wide, almost shocked eyes. The greenblood gaped. She watched as she floated to the ground, watching some stupid, worthless yellowblood take her spotlght-- Her glory. Austri's lips curled back, exposing her snarl of distaste and disgust. Of course he had to steal her achievement. Yellowbloods did that. They pretended to be all nice, only to be weasels in disguise. She was dimly reminded of Scorpa before her feet touched the ground. Austri's frustration was almost palpable. She'd landed on the nearest roof, keeping a careful eye on the yellowblood as she observed him and waited for the perfect chance to strike-- He was in the way, and needed to be dealt with, one way or another.

Buffel darted left and right through the crowd, his short stature allowing him ample room beneath the sea of arms. He reached the corner he had left the tealblood at and after a quick look around, found her sitting ‘round the curb close by. Sauntering over and trying to look respectable in the face of higher blooded company, he held the purse outstretched to her. ”Pardon ma’am, but I do believe this is yer’s.”A look of relief washed over the tealblood’s face as she thanked him profusely, and with an unexpected hug, she was off with her partner in tow, waving Buffel a graceful goodbye. With that taken care of, Buffel quickly made his way back to the small shadowy alleys he’d crawled out of to help. Here’s hopin’ no more surprises come up... the young troll thought to himself. ...as long as I’m stickin’ to the shadows I ain’t got nothin’ to worry about.quite uneventful TAG!!!! Austri's eyes never left the yellowblood, watching him manage to get through the crowd deftly and easily from her perch, on top of a roof, anger making her normally sweet face become an intense glare. The tealblood thanked him, hugged him, then left with their purse, and Austri's fury simply unable to be contained. That had been her victim! This was her turf!
When he'd ducked in the shadowy alley surprisingly next to the building she stood on, the greenblood quickly fell like a rock, landing on the ground with a ground breaking thwump, legs crouched-- No, she hadn't pressurized her feet to make the floor break underneath her! It'd simply... happened! Austri's glare slid into a sinister smile before looking up, sharp teeth unnerving and menacing. Her arms crossed as she straightened up, posture falling into a relaxed lean on her right leg as her half lidded eyes stared her rival down. She giggled sweetly, eyes closing from her sweet smile. "Hey, hey, hero, didn't you know~?" Austri murmured, skipping over toward him and poking him right in the chest, a little firmly before her eyes opened and her smile broadened. "This isn't your turf."
It was obvious from her tone that Austri didn't want to deal with pleasantries. "Where did you come from, what are you doing here, and why did they even allow someone like you through the gates of this great city?" Austri questioned, blatant and uncaring. She was irritated, and she wanted him to know it.
While in the future, she had a feeling this would very much bite her in the a**, doing it felt good.
It felt right.

Buffel made his way as quick as he could down the narrow alleyway afore a yelp behind him caught his ear.
”Hey, hey, hero, didn’t you know~?”
What in the subjugglator’s-, he paused, not expecting the sudden poke to the chest from the girl that had apparently floated downward? Was that even possible?
”This isn’t your turf.”
”Well howdy Miss! I certainly didn’t mean nothin’ by steppin’ in, but by gum did you just flo-”
The greenblood girl slung a string of questions at him, all venomous and accusatory, along with some hat-tippin’ towards where her allegiance lied. He had seen her type before. Well if that’s how it was gonna be…
”Pardon, ma’am. Or maybe don’t pardon, as you don’t seem particularly up for pleasantries. I came from outside the city, I’s workin’ on a contract that has since been finished, and they allowed me in here due to my politeness and peasant manner, a luxury of personality traits. Traits that you haven’t taken care to foster much, I reckon.”
Buffel eyed the greenblood with arms crossed. He weren’t gonna put on no airs for some greenblood tryin’ to knock him for doin’ a good deed.
”Ain’t no turfs in do-goodin’ Miss. Sooner ya learn that the more good yer gonna do. Help who needs helpin’ and be happy when people get helped.”

His good attitude only served to tick her off more, mouth curled into an obvious sneer as his good attitude fell to hostile at the drop of a hat. Austri merely smiled at his words, expression sweet and amiable as she heard his reasons. Her arms folded behind her back, body inclining forward as she clicked her tongue. "Working on a contract. Hmm~" Austri straightened her back, watching his posture get defensive and his words become tense. Austri chuckled, hair shimmering with movement. "Well, I can't exactly~ Be pleasant with someone of your rank~ You should know that~!" She said sweetly, poking him in the chest playfully. "I'm actually very pleasant to normal trolls, actually~! Just~ Trolls like you aren't worth that luxury~" She commented, a hand rising in front of her mouth as she giggled lightly. "At least, not until you've earned it~"
As he continued speaking, her gaze hardened, jaw clenching. "I could've handled it." She said venomously, before eerily calming down, releasing a sigh. "But it's totally alright~ I'm going to let you off with a little warning~!" Her eyes opened, pupils sharp and gaze tense. "The next time I see you active on my turf, I won't be as forgiving." She stated plainly, hands clenching some as the hair around her rippled with every head movement. At his last words, Austri simply rolled her eyes. "Yeah, right. Like I'm supposed to believe you did that out of the goodness in your pump biscuit." She said dryly, crossing her arms bitterly. "Yellowbloods always want attention~ It's to make up for being hatched just warm enough on the hemospectrum that they're considered lowblooded." Austri shrugged. "It's normal~ That's why I'm letting you off! Aren't I nice~?" She asked cheerfully, tilting her head slightly before turning on her heel. "Well, now that that's settled~" She murmured, beginning to leave-- "I've gotta patrol the streets! Seeya, lowblood~" And good riddance.

”Well hold on now just a second there lightfoot,”Buffel shot the greenblood his best sneer. If this gal was partial to insults, maybe there was somethin’ good to be done with her attitude after all. Home would have to wait. ”Let’s say I see another crime on my way out of this fine city o’ yers. I’m partial to helpin’ folks in need and if you ain’t gonna get there quick enough, how am I gonna be at fault when I step in to help afore it’s too late?”He could practically feel the heat radiating from her anger. Buffel shook his head brashly, throwing his arms up as if there weren’t no fix to her. ”I mean if I can hoof it to a crime quicker than your fancy flyin’, I think that’d make me a better hero than you.”He looked back up ever so slightly, locking eyes with her while keeping his head bowed. ”Unless o’ course there weren’t some way we could prove who could do the most good in one night? Don’t be afraid to bow out if you feel ya can’t come it Miss, I won’t think much less of ya than I already did.”The fire glinted behind his eyes with each tongue-lashing. He knew when his lasso aimed true and he’d gotten this uppity lightfoot by all fours.

Austri hadn't stopped at his first words, uncaring for his desire to somehow catch her attention last minute by calling her out. His next words, however, made the greenblood stop. Didn't she just explain it was her territory? He needed to let it go, or was he really that dumb?? "I'll always be there, though, you can't change that~" Sure, she didn't live there, but she could still stay with Lorata, or something. At his audacity, Austri gasped and scoffed, swiveling around with a baffled expression as their eyes locked. "Ex-cuse me! I'd get there 19 times faster than any lowblood with no powers could!" Her face burned a light green, expression curled into a terrible snarl before walking right up to him, aiming to grab his collar and pull him real close like. "You're on. I'll make you eat your words." She could feel her excitement growing, eyes angry and challenging. This lowblood thought he was hot s**t, huh? Austri would teach him just how wrong he was. "We meet back here, in 4 hours. You have to show proof of every encounter. That should be enough time~" And with that, she sped away, not even waiting for confirmation.

Buffel had neatly put up a hand when she grasped for his collar. He couldn't contain a smirk as she went flush with anger. Hopefully this energy would be put to good use. As she sped off in search of someone to save, Buffel checked to make sure he still had his usual supplies. The trusty six-iron, the rope he'd used to lasso the purse snatcher, some ink and parchment for contracts, some feed for different critters, and his ammo belt. All he needed, wrapped around his waist. He strode off at an even pace, knowing he'd find something to work with in the district's where most of his contracts came out of. He whistled happily to himself, knowing everything was going exactly to plan.

Austri had never felt more motivated and confident in her abilities than in that very moment. She'd rocketed into the air with such style and grace she was sure to look awesome! But in that moment, she needed to focus on more than just looking awesome— She needed to do her duty, double time.
The moment she saw a blueblood fall down and release a yelp, Austri was there, helping them up with a bright smile and open sound nodes. They'd apparently gotten ambushed by a group of lowbloods, the filthy mongrels, and they'd taken all their beetles from them. It was a similar situation to the job Buffel stole from her before, just larger, and at least now Austri could make up for it, chasing after the others one by one with strong kicks, punches, and body slams. She'd grabbed one by the collar and gave him a sweet smile. "Where is it, filth?" She demanded, aiming her first. Of course, the face of a child wasn't much of a thread, but her fists of fury gave her enough info to find the sucker who'd done the deed. By the end of it, she'd found the a*****e very coincidentally and slammed a punch of air that made him sink to the floor in pain. Snatching the pouch from him, Austri slammed her hand down on him one last time, snarling a threat in their ear that even she wasn't sure she'd understood. The troll nodded hesitantly, and Austri was on her merry way, returning the nice blue pouch and receiving, ohoho, a very nice ribbon she strapped to her horn. Mission one complete.

The first was a red blood girl who had gotten lost from her Lusus in a crowded street. Buffel noticed her crying on the corner, and made sure to approach carefully. She was a few sweeps younger than him, barely beyond a wriggler. Her lusus, a giant verminbeast (common in cities) had gotten separated from her in a big crowd and she ran to find him, but by the time she realized she'd picked the wrong way they were already gone. Once she explained her situation to him, the yellow blood leapt into action. With as much grace as he could, he held the girl on his shoulders as she yelled, her head now above some of the crowd. He wished he weren't such a short-stack in this instance, but it'd have to do. When this offered no results, he took her over to an alleyway. Giving her his contract supplies he encouraged her to draw a bit while he clambered to higher ground. As she sat below scratching away at some drawings, he deftly hitched himself up a fire escape with his rope. From this vantage point, he could see the large verminbeast scurrying frantically, apparently having chosen the wrong direction to search. Buffel made his way back down carefully, keeping an eye on where he'd seen it. Not looking at her, he let the girl know to wait right there, and strode off in the direction of her lusus. Tracking the giant critter was easy, and once he got it's attention the pair were reunited in no time. For his efforts, Buffel received a few licks from the verminbeast and a lovingly crafted portrait of himself in a heroic pose, beaming like an Alternian moon. On the back was the girl's address, an offer he extended to her as well so she could write a proper thank you as she requested. Tussling her hair, Buffel scurried off in search of more goodery to do.
