 Aedus was back in the library after his detention with that annoying hybrid who had been standing in his way, now he was in a rush to do his science project. Aedus has the one side of the table filled with science books. Mostly about the anatomy of familiars, eating habits, how they each lived their lives. It was what made him happy in general Aedus loved familiars, so it was the project he had chosen for his science project. Aedus made notes as fast as he could, he lost several hours stuck in detention for his fight with girl here in the library, so he in less than no mood to deal with anyone else.

The tiny Fey had her arms loaded with science books. She had just received her grade back from her first test, and it hadn't exactly been glowing. She blushed as she thought about it. It was obvious that she needed to put some more time into studying. So, here she was.
The librarian had been help, and pointed her towards the section she'd needed, but it seemed like a couple of the books she was looking for were missing. She wanted to study about the feeding habits of common familiars, because she simply did not have a club about them. But that book had been absent from its shelf. She sighed, ah well, she'd study it next time.
As she walked out the racks, she passed the study tables, where she noticed another Freshling, who also appeared to have loaded up with science books. She grinned when she saw the title of the book she had been searching for. Perfect! They could even study together!
Niamh walked up to the table, and promptly dropped all of her books down. One tumbled towards the elf, and she snatched it just in time. "Oooh, sorry about that! I see you have 'Dietary Habits of Common Familiars'! I was looking for that one, I need to study for science. I bet it'll go faster if we study together Have you read that one yet? Ooh, I'm Niamh, by the way!"
She settled the stray book onto her not so tidy pile, and thrust out a hand to the other Freshling, grinning widely.

Aedus frowned looking at the tiny fey with the green hair dropping her books, ruining his train of thought of his project, this was why Aedus liked familiars they didn't talk to him or annoy him, daydream or nightmare what was the reason for dealing with others?? He dealt with his parents, look where that had gotten him. He was trapped in the bellow dealing with many many others, he didn't want to talk to. When she spoke about wanting the book he was using he pulled the book closer to himself. Then realized it wasn't his book, and trying to keep it to himself would likely land him in detention once again. Grudgingly Aedus said. "I guess we can share, as long as you don't interrupt my project." Then Aedus grumbled softly "I'm Aedus." Aedus wasn't smiling, then again he rarely ever smiled, unless he had a familiar in his arms. Even then he preferred to do it where others couldn't see so, no one would think he was a warm fuzzy person.

Niamh looked down at her still outstretched hand, a brief look of confusion crossed her face. Perhaps where Aedus came from, they didn't shake hands? She shrugged slightly, to herself. It was important to make not force others into doing what you wanted. Her brilliant smile returned, post hand-shake pondering.
"It's really nice to meet you! Where are you from?" While probing for more information, she slipped into the seat across from him, dropping her backpack on the floor, and began arranging her books.
She bent over and fished out a notebook who's cover was mostly covered in doodles, flipping pages until she found a blank one. She grabbed the nearest book, "Familiars of Above", and opened it to a random page. She sighed a little. So much information to take in!
"I wish I was better at Science. It's my worst class right now. But at least I'm trying! I bet you're good at Science. You look like you're good at Science."

Aedus frowned and then grumbled "I used to live in an elven city, I liked it a lot up there in the above, your a fey don't you miss home??" Aedus looked at Niamh in all her cheerful happiness, how the heck could she be so happy and why?? Aedus looked at the book and said "I'm not really into science so I picked something science related that was in my area of interest." Aedus clearly his throat he didn't really want to tell Niamh that he liked familiars. After all if he told her, wouldn't she think he was soft if he told her?? That was something Aedus could never abide by. Aedus bit the side of his cheek, he wanted her answer first, didn't she miss the sunlight of the above, the tree, the flowers, the animals?? Was she really happy down her in the dim light of the bellow??

"Oooh, Above! I've never been. It sounds really nice. I'd like to go one day. Is it as bright as they say it is?" Her curiosity was the totally genuine kind. While often her personality seemed a bit at odds with her house, upon further examination her sincere interest in foreign concepts did make it the right fit for her.
"I was in the cache here. I've never really seen anywhere but the school. But it really is lovely. And I know how lucky I am! Imagine, someone picked my stone and decided that I got to be to born, and go to school here and everything! " Her grin got even wider. She liked to spend a bit of time each day reflecting on the fact that some caretaker had plucked her stone from the cache, and decided she was going to have her chance.
She glanced again at all of the books on familiars, and nodded to Aedus. "I've never really been around familiars. But some of them seem so nice! Do you have any? What's your favorite kind? Plus it's so neat how they can be trained to do all sorts of different things!"

Aedus blink and blinked "What do you mean you've never been to the above." He wrinkled his nose "You're a fey who was born here in the bellow, then you'll never understand what I lost, having to move to this dark place." Aedus growled and put his nose in a different book on familiars. Aedus cocked his eyebrow a cashe kid, she really didn't pick anything.. least he didn't think so, but still she wouldn't understand his anger at his parents for what they chose. Against his wishes. Stupid parents, they should have been like other elven parents are refused this stupid plan of mingling with nightmares. Aedus couldn't help himself at the mention of familiars he smiled a little. "I like them all they each have their own special things and personalities, I could introduce you to mine sometime if you really want to.." he said grudgingly.

She glanced at the Elf as she flipped through a large tome in front of her, occasionally making a note. She nodded at his statement. "Yeah, you're probably right. Too bad though, Above sounds really nice." She flashed him a large smile, despite his growl. ... She wasn't much on social cues.
Scribbling down more hasty notes, she perked up when Aedus next spoke. "Oooh, really? That would be amazing!" A huge smile lit up her face, and she almost bounced in her seat. "What species do you have?"

(Thank you Ella <3) Aedus nodded "Maybe when you're older there will be a chance for you to see the Above, I would have signed up for the field trip to the Above but freshlings aren't allowed, to dangrous." Aedus grumbled he missed the above a lot, it had been the only home he had ever known and he missed it a lot. Aedus brightened thinking about his familiars. "I have 4 crocobees, 2 wisps, a vespercat, a skyfish, a cockatriel, a coatl, a pumpka, and a spectrefoxes." Aedus kinda smiled and then said. "My crocobees are going to have babies." Aedus grudgingly bit his lip, he kinda liked Niamh, though he wasn't sure why. After all she didn't even understand how much he missed the Above, but she didn't understand how much he missed home. She did like familiars so that counted for something. "Maybe I could give you one of the babies.. if you really want.." He said still a bit harsh, though so far Niamh hadn't seemed to noticed his grumpy moods at all, which he thought was odd.

Niamh chewed on her bottom lip, inspecting a diagram in the book. She sketched out part of it in her own notes, annotating quickly. She gave Aedus a half smile "Plus, that trip sounded sort of scary. I don't like scary things."
She closed the big book in front of her, rooting through the pile for a new one. She wondered how hard she'd have to work to get a better mark in this class... Probably very hard.
"Wow, that's like a whole family of familiars. That's so neat. " She tried to imagine how much time he must spend caring for them. Lots, obviously.
Her eyes went wide. "Really? Wow!!! You're just the nicest person, aren't you? That would be so amazing!" The tiny Fey stood up on her seat and leaned across the table, giving Aedus a quick hug.
"Wow! I can't believe it!" She bounced on her seat before sitting back down, beaming. "Maybe having a familiar will make learning about them easier."
