 The diminutive Fey freshling carefully pushed open the door. She glanced up at the sign with the names taped onto it, just double checking that this was her room. Yup, that was her name, alright. Next to another name she didn't know. She grinned, her golden eyes twinkling. What an adventure this would be! The Cacheling had spent her babyhood in the school run nursery, under the close are of the school appointed caretakers.
Niamh knew other kids grew up in homes with their parents, and had families and stuff like that, but that wasn't her reality. She considered herself just as lucky as them, though. Someone had picked out her stone, and decided to give her a chance. And she got to come to school and make friends! In all, she considered this to be pretty great. And now, most excitingly of all, she was getting a room with a roommate!
She pushed the door open all the way, and surveyed the little room. It was small, but cozy. There were a pair of beds on opposite walls, with comfy looking sheets and pillows. And two little desks, and dressers. ... That was about it, really.
Standing in the centre of her room Niamh wasn't too sure what to do yet. She didn't want to just pick a bed, what if her roommate wanted the one she picked? ... That would just be rude! Making her up mind to be patient, she sat down at a desk chair, keenly watching the door for her roommate.

Caohime looked around the place and chewed on her lip. She was really nervous for all of this. Would she be able to make friends here? Would she like it here? She had always been really shy and quiet because it was hard for her to know what to say. She got impulsive and tended to just blurt things out and that seemed to make other uncomfortable. And now she would be living with a roommate she would really need to be careful to not upset the other girl. She hoped this would be her friend so she needed to make an effort to make her feel comfortable.
She took a slow deep breath and pushed the door open when she found the one with her name and someone named Niamh. That was a really pretty name. Hopefully she would be as nice as her name sounded. She put on a big smile as she entered the room to try to make a good first impression. She looked around not seeing anything claimed and tilted her head. It took her a few moments to see the green haired Fey sitting at a desk. She walked over and smiled at her.
"Hi. I'm Caohime." She blushed and dropped her head. "Which you already know since you saw the names on the door. Sorry." She held out her hand to Niamh hoping she wouldn't think her an idiot for saying all that. Great she wanted to make a good first impression and she would be coming off as a ditz. "So uh which side of the room do you want? It doesn't matter to me which bed they both look nice. I'm not picky." She smiled at her more.

Niamh watched as the door opened and another girl walked in. She clearly didn't see her at first, so Niamh attempted to wait patiently while she got her bearings. As soon as she had been noticed, she sprung to her feet.
She reached out and shook the other girl's hand, and grinned. "Hi I'm Niamh! And your hair is so pretty! Wow! I really like your name! It's sort of like mine. I bet we're both going to have to tell everyone else we meet how to pronounce them!"
She giggled, putting a hand over her mouth. Niamh was a fast talker. Sometimes her mouth moved a bit faster than her mind seemed to. She blushed a little, hoping she hadn't scared the other girl off. They'd have to be in here for all other their Freshling studies, so she really wanted to make a good impression.
"But it'll be easy, because our names are kind of similar, we can explain them both at once to people! I didn't want to pick beds in case you wanted one way more than the other. I don't mind which, it's all the same to me!"

Caohime relaxed when Niamh sprung to her feet. It made her feel so much better seeing her be so hyper. Her lips widened into an even bigger grin when Niamh smiled back at her. She shook her hand too.
And she grinned more when Niamh spoke. She was really happy this Fey talked so quickly she felt like she could be herself here and wouldn't need to be on edge all the time. She blushed and touched her hair. "Thank you I really like the color of your hair it's so pretty. Yeah our names are kind of similar! Maybe it was meant to be that we ended up in the same room that way it's easier to explain how to prounce!" She beamed really happy with who her roommate was.
She giggled too with Niamh really happy. She liked how fast and bright Niamh was. It would make this place more fun. She really hoped they could be friends. "Your wings are also super pretty." She nodded her head in agreement. "Mhm it will be. Oh ok." She giggled more. If neither of them picked they could be standing here all day saying neither of them cared. "Ok well do you want to be closer to the door? We need to pick since if we don't we'll be going back and forth with how neither of us care then both of us will end up on the floor." She teased and smiled hoping Niamh would think her funny rather than weird.

Even if she'd tried, she couldn't wipe the smile off her face. Clearly the caretakers had done a good job of this match! "Totally, 100% meant to be! "
The tiny Fey bounced on her toes, and chewed a little on her bottom lip. The other girl didn't seem to bothered about the bed situation, so perhaps she should just go for it. "Can I have the one further from the door? 'Cause Feys get cold really easy, and when doors open it gets all breezy and stuff."
This whole situation was panning out exactly how Niamh had imagined it - having a roommate was exactly like having a built in friend. "Hey, the caretaker told me we're allowed to make our name signs pretty! And said there's art stuff in our desks. Wanna do mine and I'll do yours? It'll be super fun! ... I think there's even glitter glue."
Because in her opinion, no art project was complete without glitter glue.

Caohime started to bounce too she was so happy with who the care takers had matched her up with. She might actually have a friend now! She was really excited and hoped this would be her new friend. She was happy her roommate was smiling too since it meant maybe Niamh wanted to be her friend too. "Yep!" She giggled and grinned.
She giggled and kept bouncing with the smaller Fey. She levitated an inch off the ground as she got so excited her Geist side kicked in. She nodded her head. "Of course you can! This is our room so we both need to be comfortable. I'd hate for you to be too cold. You could get sick and that would make school harder. And being sick just isn't fun. I don't mind being by the door. We can decorate our room and make it ours just how we want." She nodded her head happily.
She couldn't believe she had gotten so lucky with the roommate she got. This was better than she had hoped for. She had hoped to have someone she could live with but now is seemed she would be getting a friend out of all this! Her eyes widened and she beamed. Ooooooooh that sounded like so much fun! "Yay art!!!!!" She bounced more and again levitated a tiny bit. "I would love for you to decorate mine and I think it would be fun to decorate yours. What's your favorite color? And flower?" She wanted to make sure her roommate would like it. "Ooooo sparkles!" Sparkly things always made everything better. She ran over to the door and opened it quickly to get the name signs down and closed the door quickly hoping not too much cold air came in. She walked over and held the one with her name on it as she held onto Niamh's name sign.

"Thanks! You're the nicest!" She grinned a little wider, watching her roommate levitate. "That's so cool you can just hover like that! Feys can fly and stuff but it takes a lot of effort. Flapping your wings and all that."
She stopped to consider what she had just said. Whoops, maybe that was sort of rude... What if it was hard to Caohime to hover like that. "Unless, uh, it's hard for you to do that! I dunno, 'cause I'm just Fey. I think it's really neat that you're more than just one thing. It's like getting the best of a whole bunch of stuff."
By the point the other girl had already made it back with the name signs. "Oooh, I'm so glad! Uh, I like and pink and green, and really anything pretty! I like lilies a lot, like my flower!" She gestured to her heart, and her flower. It was a delicate looking lily, and she'd always been fond of it.
She gently took Caohime's name sign, and skipped over to her desk, opening the drawer. "What colours should I do yours? What's your favourites?"
Niamh fished around before finding a black marker, and immediatley started drawing bows on either side of the other girl's name, clearly inspired by her hairstyle. "Hey Caohime, I'm really glad you're my roommate." She beamed at the other girl, doodling a cloud around her name.

Caohime blushed even more. "Uh thank you."
She hadn't done anything that nice but it was still nice to hear. She was started and looked down. "Oh." She looked back at Niamh in shock. "Uh I can't control it right now. I'm too young so it just happens. When I'm older I'll have control and actually chose when I levative and be able to go higher. Being able to control it sounds nice." She smiled so Noamh wouldn't think she was bitter or anything.
She smiled at her and shrugged. "Well not being able to control it makes it hard. When I'm older and can actually decide when I do it it'll take a lot of concentration. I don't know much about the Fey so I might ask a lot of questions." She smiled more. "I'm glad you think it's neat." Some people didn't. And it hurt when people judged her for it.
She bounced more when Niamh said she was glad. "Good." She nodded her head and walked over to her own desk and pulled out some green and pink colored things. She made sure to grab glitter glue and anything sparkly. "Those are really nice colors and the lily is such a pretty flower. I'll keep that in mind." She looked down and started to draw a lily over the name being careful to make sure it was pretty. She drew butterflies in pink and green around the name too.
Niamh reminded her of a butterfly sos she put a lot of them. And a lot of flowers. She started to accent things with the glitter glue having so much fun. She tilted her head. "Hmmmmm well I really like blues as you can see." She gestured down at her clothes. "But purple is really nice too!"
She bummed happily as she worked on her design for Niamh waning it to be perfect for her roommate. She looked over beaming. "Thanks Niamh. I'm really happy you're my roommate too. I couldn't have asked for a nicer or better one." She beamed back putting glitter glue along the name to outline it.

Niamh sucked on her bottom lip, concentrating on her masterpiece. She shuffled around the crayons she'd pulled out, trying to find the perfect combination or blues and purples. She coloured the bows she'd drawn with a nice bright blue, and then added glitter glue polkadots. She nodded to herself as she worked.
"I hope you'll like it! I know I'll like mine! It'll be so great to hang them on our door!" She then selected three purples, and started working on the cloud. She shaded it from the lightest purple to the darkest, trying to nicely blend the colours together. Deciding the cloud was finishing, she fished out the glitter glue, and carefully traced Caohime's name.
The little Fey grinned. She gently picked up the name sign, and blew on it, trying to dry the glitter glue extra fast. She wanted to show her creation off. With a tentative finger she touched the glue, and came away with glitter on her finger. She giggled slightly.
"Ooops, got a little glitter on me! Buuuut I'm done! But it needs to dry a little. But I can show you! And once it's dry, we can hang it up. Do you like it?" Niamh hadn't stopped for a breath, excited to show offer her artwork. She gingerly held the sign up to show Caohime. Her name was surrounded with a purple ombre cloud, bookended by blue bows.

Caoihme focused on her craft she really wanted Niamh to like it. She wanted to help make her new friend happy that way she would want to stay friends. She chewed on her lip as she worked. It was hard not knowing exactly what she would like. She worked on the lily more wanting it to look better. She smirks as it started to come together more. There that looked a lot better. She continued to draw the wings and color them in.
She smiled over at Niamh as she spoke again. "I'm sure I'll like it. I can see how hard you're working on it. And thank you so much I really hope you will like it too. Yeah I'm looking forward to hanging them up. They will look so pretty on our door." She grabbed more glitter glue and out lined the wings with it and smiled enjoying this. It was a lot of fun and the names was looking even prettier. She turned the dot over the I into a flower and smiled.
She looked down once the sign looked just how she wanted. Now it was time for it to dry. She didn't want to have to wait. Why could it dry instantly? That would be really nice if it could do that but she didn't know any way for it to do that. She wiggled in her seat as she waited. Dry. Dry quickly. Thinking that didn't help. She looked over and giggled too. "At least it's a pretty glitter color."
She giggled and nodded her head. "Ysy!" She carefully picked up her finished sign too and beamed as she showed her it. "Oh it looks so pretty! You did such an amazing job. Thank you so much! I hope you like what I made you." She chewed on her lip nervously. The name had glitter underlining it and there were butterflies all around it along with some flowers especially lilies. And there were dots of glitter around to accent it.

The small Fey bounced out of her seat, and over to her roommate. She wrapped her in a hasty hug, giggling the whole while. "I love it! It's so, so pretty! You did such a good job! We should hang them now!"
Without waiting for a reply, she bounded back to her desk, and retrieved Caoihme's sign, and made her way back to the door. She chewed on her bottom lip, and stood on her tippy toes, barely able to reach where the name tags were meant to go. With a little hop, she managed to stick her artwork back where it belonged. It was even straight! ... Ish.
Niamh smiled to herself, content with a job well done, and a new friend made.

Ellanoire Sure. This Rp is a lot of fun. And Niamh is super cute.
She watched as the small Fey moved to hang it up before she had finished talking. She grinned and walked over to see how she would hang it up. She frowned realizing she had forgotten Niamh's sign and ran back over to her desk to grab it being careful not to smear the glitter glue. She walked back and grinned as she walked to the door. She looked at where the signs had been and chewed on her lip. She needed to make sure to be careful so as not to mess anything up. She smiled as she saw Niamh bounce to get the name up. She reached up extending her arm as much as it could go to line up with the other name sign. She beamed very pleased with how the two name signs looked next to each other. She was ecstatic with her new roommate and friend.
