Yawo had met a lion - a really fantastic lion. He had a love for the ocean, just like herself and was a free spirit so to speak. She wasn't entirely sure why she always fell for the ones that came from outside the pride, but should anyone ask she wasn't about to complain at this point in time.
Since they had met by the water and he had made it clear this was where he would likely stay she had decided on attempting another visit. "Hello?" The pale lioness called out. Moonlight lit up the sands and touched the water making it glisten as it rolled calmly.
Perhaps he would be in the water again?Tisiphone Sorry for the crappy start lol

After listening to the weird winged lioness's words Ailani had to decided to stick around the ocean, maybe it had been some form of fate he'd made his way back to his father's pride. He was also thinking about that pretty pale lioness and finding himself feeling silly, there were other lionesses, and yet he couldn't get her out of his head.
He'd been collecting bits and pieces, things he found in the water or near it, there was a small collection of conch shells and half shells. They glittered in the moonlight and he was resting next to them staring out into the water when a voice called out.
"Hello back," he murmured and stood looking for he source of the voice. It was Yawo. "Oh if it isn't the pretty lioness." he said flirtatiously a broad grin spreading across his face.

Yawo let go a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding - it had occurred to her that perhaps their first encounter was all by chance and a one off. She caught herself earlier pleading with the night that it wasn't true. It seemed the Gods were already playing her way, she nearly missed his dark shape near the water.
"Ailani." She smiled when she spoke his name, blue gaze glued to him. At his comment 'pretty' she blushed slightly and even looked to the ocean, still a touch shy. "What have you gathered there?" She said as she got closer and stopping just so that there was a gap between them. Upon stopping she drops her rump to the ground, tail playing behind her.
"Were you collecting shells?"

"Here and there, whenever I find something I add it to the pile. The ocean can bring in some pretty interesting things," he grinned and shuffled them around with his paw so they gleamed even more in the moonlight. "Would you like one of them?"
He sat thinking and felt like his heart flutter in his chest. He felt as if he was acting a fool like a teenaged male.
"You know, Yawo. I think I'm going to stick around the Bahari, find out if anyone I'm related to is still around." He was so easy going that saying that made his heart pound. Saying he would stay in more than one place was a very difficult thing for him. Now, now, you're not saying it's permanent...but what if it was? Apart of him thought that it wouldn't be such a bad thing to stay in one place, he'd seen many things that most lions could not say they have.

"Gifts from the ocean, there are absolutely beautiful." She gushed, her eyes were trailing over the small collection he had come to discover during his time at there. Yawo then looked back to him, blue orbs meeting his purple gaze."Me?" She gasped softly. The returned with full force and she had to remain quiet a moment before speaking - without becoming emotional.
"Would you pick one for me?"
Such a silly detail and yet it would mean so much more to her if she picked out one of the shells. Then he said the words that really got her heart pounding. Yawo recalled his explanation of wandering - meeting individuals and simply getting out there to travel. She was sure even uttering the words that left his mouth had to have been hard, at least a little.
"Really Ailani?"
She hadn't meant to, because she knew how much the traveling had meant to him, but she was to excited to take remove the pure bliss from her voice.

He studied the shells carefully looking for one with no chips or cracks in it and selected a corkscrew shell that looked a little like a horn, it was probably the biggest of the shells he'd found so far and was almost the color of her toes.
"Really, Yawo.." he cleared his throat and looked at Yawo's face. "I-I'm going to stay around for awhile." he said as he pushed the shell towards her.
Trying to break the awkwardness that he was feeling inside he shook his mane and said, "Now, what is there fun to do around here besides just looking out into the ocean and wondering what she'll bring?" He tried to give her a devilish smile but it wasn't quite his usual mischievous one. He was nervous.

The blush was clear on her face, her white pelt failing to hide any of the glow as he spoke and nudged over the shell. This was an incredible deal to her - never having been given anything like a gift before she was nearly beside herself. "I would like that, alot." She heard herself say, but it felt as though the words were being spoken for her. Yawo was just so incredibly happy about the whole situation.
"Oh my. Beyond swimming, fishing and gathering lovely items?" The pale lioness pondered this question lightly. "Well, we could always go and visit with the neighboring pride? I hear they are quite the interesting bunch." It was in these moments that she realized how boring of a life she truly lead. Having never left the prides lands and truly never interacting with many others cubs she didn't know what would be considered fun and so she was pulling at thin air really.
"I just figured since you love to travel that perhaps that would be right up your alley? We've formed a recent alliance with them that allows us to come and go, so there are no worries."
She smiled weakly, perhaps he had other ideas, but if he didn't that was truly the only thing she could offer.

He audibly sighed relieved when Yawo took the shell. He hadn't realized he was holding his breath, he wanted to see the pale lioness happy, wanted to see her beautiful smile. It felt good to give gifts and care for someone.
"I think going on a small adventure, with you, would mean the world to me." She was obviously thinking of something that would appeal to them, "after that perhaps you can show me where to go to make my living here official..that's a bit scary."
"I don't want to be forward, Yawo.." he paused, "but a life of standing by the ocean would be a full life with a lioness like you beside me." How could he say he thought he was..in love at first sight..he'd never felt so flustered. He blew his mane out of his eyes and felt a little like a young teenager trapped in an old man's body.

The blush on her cheeks had never truly faded, something about this lion caused her heart to skip a beat and her mind to swirl with thoughts - many thoughts. Ones she thought she would never think of again, what a difference he had made in her life in such a short period of time as well. If it was meant to be it was meant to be and she felt confident this was one of those situations where she just knew.
Yawo held back a small girlish squeal at the thought of helping him make his residence here permanent, she knew just how big of a deal that was for him to say out loud, it was truly cementing the fact that he wasn't going to be leaving over night. "Hopefully I'll be able to help make the transition a little nicer." She smiled and worked her way closer to him, not feeling as shy.
Words caught in her throat as she stared towards him, blue eyes searching purple. "I would happily stay beside you. Now and for the rest of our lives if you'll have it." She was smiling, from ear to ear! How could she not be happy!

Ailani felt like his body and soul were on fire. He had said something crazy, and she'd returned his sentiment. He was going to make his life here official, and make his life with her official one day. She was so beautiful, and those blue eyes felt like something he had been searching for.
"For the rest of our lives," he echoed, and that didn't seem scary at all, it seemed perfect. "I can't wait." He sounded breathless and he felt foolish, but it all felt very right.
