  Night had fallen and gently cloaked Kasrava in her natural element. She felt comfortable in the loving caress of shadow as she slinked out of the sanctuary tunnels and into the surrounding forest. There had been whispers lately - unseemly talk of the return of a beast long thought dead and rotten. For something so big to occur without her knowledge… it was not a good look for the head of the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. She needed more information, and was even willing to approach the most unsavory group she knew to get said information. The trees shook to her left and she paused, her red eyes flashing in the dark.
“Rasputin,” she sighed, when the large winged buffalo made himself known. “You have great timing,”
The hulking buffalo let out a raspy laugh from both of his mouths, the tinny echo no longer as unnerving to her as it once was.
“You are on the hunt, Mother?” Rasputin asked, observing her body language.
“Indeed. For information more than blood… but I never know what will occur with this particular group…”
“I will join you,” Rasputin offered, a grin stretching across both of his mouths at his mother’s fond look.
“Thank you, my darling,” Kasrava gave him an affectionate brush with one of her paws before nodding her head to the north. “They are closer to the sanctuary than I wish, but it will still be a decent walk,”
“At least it is a nice night,” Rasputin mused. He gestured to the sky with his head and flexed his wings. “A full moon, even,”
Kasrava eyed the moon with trepidation. “Let’s go,”

Quote:  The moon was high in the sky and the atmosphere of the herd was positively energetic. Niva and her brother Avin, two pure fire Ulun’sutis, had lit the main fire pit in the center of the camp to signal the start of the festivities. A few of the more musically-inclined herd members had started up a rhythm and his lovely daughter, Ivanka, was calling up a melody to the sky in time with the beat of the music. His other lovely daughter, Anka, was curled around Malvina’s neck as they danced merrily around the fire with the others. A full moon was always the perfect excuse for the herd to party all night long - not that they ever really stopped having fun. A body bumped against his knee and he looked down to see Ursula looking up at him fondly.Quote:  “Come here often?” she cooed while her tentacles lazily curled around his leg.Quote: He smiled and brought his wing down to pull her closer. “I do, actually,” he laughed. “Is that the best pickup line you can muster, my love?” Quote: “Hey, I already have you all to myself,” she chortled. “That means I don’t have to put any effort into pickup lines. You’ve already been picked up, silly,” Her eyes drifted from his and over to their little family dancing around the fire. “We need more,” Quote: Vladislav raised an eyebrow. “More what?” he asked, though he had a suspicion that he knew what she would say. Quote: “Babies,” Ursula said bluntly. “The star gave us two… do you think it has a limit?” Quote: Vladislav huffed out a laugh and looked down at her fondly. “I don’t know, my love. I guess we will have to find out,” Quote: Ursula looked back up towards him, catching his look. She smiled and nudged him. “I wonder if the star likes parties,” Quote: “I like to imagine that our star is just like us,” Vladislav whispered. “It enjoys parties and blood and mayhem,” Quote: “Yes,” Ursula whispers back. “I like that…” They spend a few more silent moments enjoying each other’s company and closeness, before Ivanka spots them on the outskirts of the gathering. Quote:  “Mama! Dad! What are you doing all the way over there? Come dance with us!” Ivanka calls. Shouted agreements ring up from the rest of the herd and Ivanka does a spin before starting back up with her singing.Quote: Vladislav laughs and leans down to nuzzle at his mate’s cheek. “You go join, my sweet. I need to pick out our dinner,” Quote: “Oooh, yes!” Ursula cheers, returning the nuzzle before quickly hopping towards the fire. She pauses briefly to look at him over her shoulder. “Pick out some good ones, my love!” And then she’s skipping back towards Ivanka, Anka, and Malvina. She falls into step with them quickly, and soon she’s spinning and jumping energetically around the fire with the rest of the group. Quote: Vladislav spends a few moments enjoying the scene before catching the eye of two of his guards and nodding his head towards The Pit. They nod back and follow when he turns and begins the short walk to the tunnels. It’s easy to find the entrance if you follow the screams.
