The loud sound of slurping drink could be heard as Raz sipped her drink. Solo was floating near her with an umbrella in his grasp, keeping the two of them in the shade. He had complained more than once that there was no need for such a thing, but Raz only made the sound of sizzling in response and immediately he shut up. She wasn’t wrong in telling him to keep to the shade as it did kept him cooler and free of becoming a walking heater. However, must he carry around a PINK umbrella? Solo was 100% certain they had a plaid one in storage, but Raz shoved this one at him instead. It was pink, bright as hell, and probably more fitting for Raz to hold onto then him. But no, she said he’s the one using it as she doesn’t end up coming out of the sun with the ability to burn someone’s hand off.
At least it was big enough to cover the both of them...
The Raevan felt himself fidgeting with the umbrella in his grasp as his Guardian switched between looking over their surroundings and her phone. Raz was definitely more hyped for this then Solo as she knew of Anya’s existence but, for the Raevan, he wasn’t overly excited if only because he had already met Zeke. However, there was no denying that Solo was at least happy to see the man again.
He seemed fun. Probably could rival Raz with how the both of them share unnaturally bright hair colors.
“Are they here yet?” Solo eventually asked, switching his umbrella holding hand. Raz only let out a small laugh at the Ahklut’s impatience before patting him gently on the arm, “Soon, I’m sure.”

The car came to a halt in a spot and Zeke put it in park. "Ready to go?"
There was no reply to that question in the form of words. Anastacia was out of the car as soon as the engine was cut; an action that meant a burst of laughter followed her bolt out and into the open air. It hadn't been quite so long since their last beach trip but there had been a mounting burning, yearning, and a gripping want to be among the surf and sand that the Black Widow just could not help herself. The day was bright and the sun was warm. Seagulls cried overhead and the smell of salt was everywhere. Anya inhaled it deeply, relished the sting in her nose and - slowly - returned back to earth.
"I'd take that as a 'yes' if I ever saw one!" She turned to see her Guardian standing there, grinning luminously, clad in jean shorts and a well-loved tank top. His sunglasses were perched on his brightly colored head and he shielded his eyes from the sun with a hand as he looked at her.
"Sorry," she said after a moment, a grimace passing over her face at her own action just then, "I guess I'm just a little excited to be here, that's all..."
Zeke winked and passed by her to open the trunk in order to pull out their packed effects.
"No need to apologize, Anya. Hell, don't ever apologize for being excited! I'm excited that YOU'RE excited!" He looked and sounded genuine in his statements but even still the Frei could not help but awkwardly pluck at her sundress. She was being silly, but she wasn't exactly USED to being silly. It kind of put her on the spot.
"Do you think they're here yet?" The best way to get out of the spotlight was to turn it elsewhere. Zeke held out her parasol and she took it gratefully, opening the white lace umbrella and shading herself at once.
"They should be," the vet clucked his tongue, setting down a rolling cooler to dig his phone out of his pocket. It had chimed as they sought a parking spot but he hadn't bothered with it until just now. "Ah yeah! They are! We have to look for a big pink umbrella, but she says they used the section seven entrance..." He trailed off to look up at the big metal sign with the section's number on it. "And we parked in section six! So a little walk ahead, but hey I did pretty good, huh?!"
The Frei nodded. Zeke finished gathering their effects - a large dufflebag stuffed with towels and sunscreen as well as a frighteningly rainbow umbrella - and led the march. Anastacia followed close behind at first but started to fall back and linger as soon as they crested the big sandy hill that separated the parking lot from the beach. The water wasn't more than a blue sparkling blur to her eyes from that spot but she didn't need to see it clearly to appreciate it. The fact she was here was more than enough.
"Hey c'mon slowpoke!" Anya turned her head and saw her man as a waving blur. She startled, not realizing just how far he had gotten, and took off after him. When she caught up to him he was laughing. "Don't worry, I know the feeling." The words and another wink was given before she could even consider offering a remark or apology. She found she really didn't have one regardless.
"See that over there?" Zeke pointed out across the sand, beyond her clear scope of vision but even still a shock of pink billowing in the ocean breeze was hard even for her to miss.
"I do."
"I'd say we found'em! Looks like Solo's got umbrella duty too, hah!"
He started back up again but Anya did give the barest of pauses. Zeke had offered her a beach trip but did not hide the fact that it was also a chance for her to meet a new Guardian and Raevan pair. She had asked him the obvious questions and had gotten the obvious answers in return, but even if she had asked him every single detail right down to the most off the wall and damningly weird ones this was still a first meeting with people she did not know. Caution was forever at the ready in these instances, even if she was going to give it her best shot. She gripped her parasol's pole firmly and followed.
"HEYYYY!!!!" Zeke started waving like an idiot, drawing all eyes to himself and his Raevan as they made their way over. When they were at the spot the waiting couple had chosen, he dropped the cooler's handle and opened his arms wide for a hug. "Long time no see, strangers!!!"

“ZEKE!” Raz greeted abruptly and, before Solo would say or do anything, had already darted off in a full on run to bear hug the man. She had her usual grin on her face as she did so and motioned for Solo to come over when she felt the hug was finally long enough. The Raevan, on the other hand, just rolled his eyes at his guardian’s excitement before doing as told. He still felt awkward carrying the pink umbrella around but eh, he could always just blame it on Raz.
“How are you? Man, it’s so nice to see you in the flesh and…” The pink haired guardian turned to Anya, “Is that who I think it is?”
The grin on her face had only gotten bigger as it almost reached her ears. She was bouncing or trying not to despite the subtle attempts to hold herself back. However Solo, on the other hand, had stopped to a halt when he saw Anya. Before anyone could notice, himself included, his umbrella had fallen from his hand and his face went unnaturally red. The sound of the umbrella hitting the ground had Raz immediately looking in his direction, though the redness was what got her brows furrowing in concern.
“Solo?” she questioned silently before moving over to check on her baby. However, when she realized where his line of sight was directed at, the look of concern became one of amusement. Raz wrapped one of her arms around Solo’s shoulder as the Raevan’s face continued in its cartoony red state, dragging him lower in his floating, before patting him on the chest with her free hand.
“It’s okay, Solo. She’s really pretty isn’t she?” that comment had Solo nearly flailing, but instead he just hid his face behind his hands.
“S-shut up.”

The moment Raz hit him Zeke wrapped his arms tight around her and picked her up from the ground, spinning her merrily with a lot of laughter.
"Raz!" He replied with some breathiness to his voice after he set her down again, "I'm great! How are you? And yeah ditto on that one, it feels like it's been ages and..." He trailed off when the pink-haired dynamo noticed the Frei behind him, which set off a somehow even brighter smile on his face. Zeke looped an arm around Raz as he turned toward Anya, holding his hand out to present one woman to another.
"She very much is who you think she is! Raz, this is Anastacia. Anya, this is Raz!"
Anya had been a little wide-eyed at the greeting the two humans had given one another, to the point where she was toeing the line at 'stunned silence'. Zeke had said that Raz was quite bombastic and fun, but what he declined to tell her was that their energy levels were on par and that they were more similar than he initially let on.
Oh dear.
"It's nice to meet you, Raz." She bobbed her head in a polite nod. "Zeke's told me a lot about you so it's nice to finally put a face to the legend." Her words made her Guardian light up all the more and she watched him squeeze Raz just before the woman darted off to the last member of the party who had yet to be met. Floating a little closer, Solo came into view and Anya brought herself to a stop right there. The big Frei she was looking at was monochrome all over save for two very striking exceptions - his eyes, which almost seemed to burn with how yellow they were as they stared right at her, and his cheeks, the color of which was making firetrucks seem dark.
"Is he okay?" She tilted her head as she asked, looking between Raz and Zeke for the answer. The former only bopped on over to her ward to loop an arm around him, making a comment that only made the Akhlut redder. His response made her raise a brow and she felt quite lost. "Zeke?"
Her own Guardian had covered the lower half of his face with his mouth, trying so hard to keep the laugh that was shaking his chest at bay. When Anya spoke his name the man looked at her with brown eyes that were crinkled in the corners and loosed a little chuckle. He turned it into a cough before nodding his head.
"He'll be okay, I think. Soloooo! It's been awhile buddy!" He walked right up to the blushing beast of a Raevan and patted him warmly on the arm. "I've see you've spotted Anya. Anya! This here is Solo! Solo, this is Anya!" Like he had with Raz the vet stuck his hand out and swept it between the two introduced parties. Still looking a little concerned, the Virus Frei nodded her head to him as she had to his Guardian.
"It's nice to meet you, Solo."

“Like wise!” Raz laughed joyously at Anya’s greeting, “It’s so good to finally meet you in the flesh! Man, and to think I thought you were gorgeous when Zeke showed me that picture!” The pink haired guardian might be gushing a little over the Spider Raevan’s appearance, but that was nothing in comparison to Solo’s swooning. The Akhlut could hear Anya’s question regarding his wellbeing, though the Raevan had to hold himself back from acting like a giant idiot. He had wanted to say so many different things he just clammed up instead as too many things tried to come out at once. Though, he might be sweating a little out of nervousness then the actual heat itself.
“I think he’s just a little…hot and bothered at the moment.”
If his brain wasn’t acting like a complete moron at the moment with all these ideas of possible actions, Raz would be getting such a stink eye right now.
“I-I’m fine.” He stuttered out while trying not to choke on his own words. And he would’ve been more thankful to Zeke if he didn’t feel like the man was on the share wavelength as Raz at this very moment. As the two Raevans were officially introduced, Solo just felt his mouth go dry from how nervous he was. He didn’t want to act like a giant moron in front of Anya…though that was might be a little late since he was absolutely sure she probably thinks he’s weird.
“N-nice to meet you!” he once against stuttered out, “You’re gorgeous.”
…
Real smooth, Solo. Real smooth.
Solo mentally slapped himself as he had just realize what he blurted out without thinking, and could only pray that she didn’t mind. He had not intended to just…do that. It was not cool, and perhaps random? And there was little he could do to fix that now, but dear god does he wish someone would help him. Though perhaps there might be coming from Raz’s end because, from the corner of his eyes, he could see the woman’s mischievous grin and it knocked him out of his stupor. Solo could only hope Raz wasn’t…well, that wouldn’t work because when was Raz not Raz. Maybe he should just pray she didn’t already have a shitty plan in mind.
Speaking of the Guardian, Raz wasn’t much better then Zeke in the “must-hold-back-laughter” department, and was pinching herself as subtly as possible in all efforts to keep from just bursting. She looked around for something to distract herself and saw an ice cream stall nearby. The pink haired woman choked back the threat of laughing in an effort to point it out.
“So! Since we’re all here now, who’s up for ice cream and some beach time?”

"You're very kind." Anya bowed her head politely at Raz's compliment while next to her Zeke beamed with that fatherly pride of his. "Thank you."
The Akhlut finally stammered out his own reply to how he was feeling which did bring the Widow some relief. Any redder and the boy might have ended up passed out on the sand and then what? He too offered awe at Anya's appearance, but the way he said it and how quickly he flinched after spouting it made her pause and loft a brow at him.
"Thank you?" She looked at Zeke who, like Raz, was trying oh so hard to contain his mirth at this show of god only knows what Solo was making. She wanted to make a comment to her Guardian but with how red the man's own face was getting from keeping his laughter internal, doing so might make the man explode. Best avoid that and she, perhaps graciously, did so. "You're very...unexpected. In a good way I mean: Zeke said you were big and tall but you're much more than I imagined."
It was a compliment as much as she could make for an awkward stranger, especially when the other option had been "you're very grey". Not that the Frei wasn't but...that wouldn't have been very polite would it? And besides, he was also very black and white too. Not at all accurate. She wouldn't take back those words now; they would suffice.
"Ooh me! Me! I'm ready!" Raz threw out the suggestion of ice cream and Zeke hopped on the bandwagon with gusto, bouncing on his toes and then around the pink-haired woman like the big kid he was. Anya didn't particularly like the way he was locking eyes with Raz, as if the two humans were having some sort of unspoken conversation, but she supposed it couldn't be help. Birds of a feather, or so the saying went, right?
"I am as well, I've been looking forward to this trip since Zeke suggested it." Anya adjusted her bag on her shoulder and spun her parasol with her other hand. Awkward introductions aside, she was speaking the truth. She had been oh so eager and now they were here! It was a dream come true!
"Let's not delay then! We have a whole day to spend here and I'm not gonna waste any time!" Zeke took Raz by the hand and suddenly was dragging the pink haired woman off toward the ice cream stand, leaving Anya and Solo in their dust. The Widow could only raise her hand and pinch between her brows as the laughter trailed behind the two Guardians, sighing and shaking her head before pulling herself out of that in order to look at the one she had been left behind with.
"Sorry, he gets like this sometimes, although I'm sure you can relate. He and Raz are awfully similar, aren't they?" She let that hang there for a moment, almost unsure of how to proceed. Looking around, there wasn't much option other than to follow after so the Virus Frei gestured to the blurs of their Guardians. "Shall we? I'm sure they'll come right back but...might as well meet them halfway right?"
Besides, the trip would give her a chance to get a better feel for this Solo.

If Anya had been more childlike, Raz would have pulled the female raevan into her chest for cuddles and hugs. However, she had a feeling that would be more restricted for something further down the line, and thus restricted herself from doing so. Though something more fun popped up when she saw Solo’s reaction to the pretty, little black widow. The look her lovely charge gave her only resulted in a silent evil cackle as she taunted Solo playfully from hidden view. Raz the epitome of the ah yes face when she saw her baby turn bright red again upon hearing Anya’s compliment.
She really should teach him to play it cool, but on the other hand…
:3c
She is a great mother. Though, at the moment, Solo would say otherwise. If he saw the look Zeke threw at Raz, he would probably think the same regarding him too. Stink eyes…for the guardians. All day, as they plot.
However, amongst the stink eyes throw at the guardians, Anya’s voice broke through the haze and Solo fixed his posture (with a bit of shuffling). He couldn’t help but smile at her, though whether it was because of what she said or her presence alone was up for debate. “G-glad to hear it! I was excited too! It’s always fun to meet new people! Though, maybe it’s because I haven’t met a lot of them yet haha…”
s**t, he was rambling.
Though before anything else could be done…already, Raz and Zeke were already off into the distance. Raz was absolutely fine with that. On the contrary, she nudged Zeke a bit once they were out of range, and giggled. “Ahhh, crushes. Cute isn’t it?” she snickered, “Though, I really do want ice cream. I hope they have starburst flavor.”
Anya’s apologetic behavior regarding how the guardians were acting only resulted in a slightly awkward twitch from Solo. “It’s good to see them so full of energy though? It would probably be weird if they just started sighing and moping around.” He jested, though there was definitely a hint of seriousness in that notion. “And yeah, that sounds nice. Let’s go!”
He waited for Anya to take the first step before following beside her.

The big Frei shuffled and stammered with nerves. Anya took it for a lack of socialization as hadn't Zeke said Solo was still rather young? She hummed a little note as she tried to think back but ultimately shrugged it off in favor of the here and now.
"It can be," the Black Widow affirmed with a nod, regarding this awkward turtle mildly, "but don't worry, you'll be meeting plenty of people soon enough. The Lab is kind of funny that way; suddenly everyone just falls out of the woodwork." She spoke from experience, but perhaps she had a little bias given just who her Guardian was and his relation to the Lab itself.
Anya led the procession to follow after their errant Guardians.
"If they started sighing and moping they might just be playing us." She shook her head. Zeke did that sometimes where he would put on dramatics and give her, Brad, and whomever else these big, sad brown eyes complete with a quivering bottom lip and a little fidgeting. Five seconds or so after doing so he would then spring back to gaiety and his usual vivacity, oftentimes tittering with laughter as if he had just played them all. Usually this resulted in a roll of her lavender eyes and a shake of her crowned head. Somehow this always made him laugh more. "Zeke does that sometimes; he thinks it's the funniest thing."
While her parasol kept the sun off her, the sand radiated heat back up at Anya and her exposed underside. The meal the heat made was good until it started becoming too much and so she did her best to avoid making herself feel ill by floating a little higher. Soon she matched Solo at the height he floated at, which allowed her a chance to look at the younger Raevan's features all the better. He was indeed a monochrome monster of a Frei - big and burly in the vein of Iorek but with a certain sleek and chicness to him as well. His hair on the top of his head was slicked back in a pomp that lended to that latter notion while the sides were shaved close and clean. An odd style, somewhat, but not at all unfortunate. It suited him. What he was wearing, however...
"...You know, it is rather hot today, aren't you overheating in that coat?"
--
They got out of range and slowed to a stop, laughing and panting and sweating it out quite nicely.
"Oh jeez, do you think it was mean to ditch them like that?" Zeke turned around to look back at the floating pair now making their way over, grinning from ear to ear. Raz nudged him and he nudged her right back, bursting into renewed fits at her words. "Oh good you noticed too!!! In all my days I'd have never guessed he'd turn so goddamn red!!!"
Solo could put a firetruck to shame, truly.
"A lot of people are taken with how beautiful Anya is when they first meet her, but that's the first time I have EVER seen someone literally burn with the heat of one thousand suns!" Poor kid had been totally overwhelmed. It was like the clouds had parted and there was the sun, or something ooey gooey poetic like that! It was probably mean to laugh like he was at that but it was hard not to as well!
"I honestly don't think Anya realizes it either, hah!" She was never one who was strong with social cues. Humor was lost on her and he had never seen her smitten with anything that wasn't fashion or hobby-related. "It's cute though, that's for sure."
He turned around to look at the ice cream stand they now stood in front of, humming just a little as he looked over the available flavors.
"Looks like they do! But we should wait for them maybe. I know Anya won't want anything but what about Solo? Some Freis can and do try human food now and again but...I dunno he looks more like a 10w40 man to me." He started snickering.

Anya’s mentioning of others definitely has Solo feeling a little excited. However, he had to wonder when that time might be. He had met a small portion of people recently, but he could count the interactions on one hand. An uncertain look was presently on his face as he pondered the possibilities, but Anya pointing out the possibilities of being played by their guardians if they ever mopped earned her a snicker. “Raz too. Though, I guess it’s just how they are - fun, active, and just the epitome of energy.”
In all honesty, Solo couldn’t imagine Zeke or Raz acting differently from how they are now. Perhaps it’s because of how young he was, but he really wouldn’t trade them for the world. They’re fun, and he likes it that way…though rather he likes the teasing is up for debate.
There was a small twitch when he noticed Anya floating a little higher, but just gave her a lighthearted, puzzled look when she started talking. There was a momentary silence before the words finally got to his brain and he let out an awkward laugh. His jacket. Ah yes, the jacket that Raz has been trying to get him to take off since they got there. The reason why he had in his grasp a pink umbrella. “I-it’s fine. I was thought there wasn’t really a point…haha.”
The laugh at the end sounded a bit defeatist, but perhaps that was because of his inner shirt…As Solo took off his jacket, it was very evident why he sounded defeated in the first place: the shirt underneath was a long sleeve too.
“There’s no escaping the sleeves it seems.”
- - - - - Raz patted Zeke on the back in regards to his question, and just shook her head. “Nah. It’s a good chance for them to get to know each other. Though I’d never guessed his face could turn that red.” While there was a hint of concern in her tone, it was obvious the pink guardian was glad to see this side of her raevan. “I can’t tell if that’s his physiology at work or if he really did have that much blood go up to his face, but it’s definitely cute to see it happen. Though I have to wonder how long it’ll take before Anya realizes it.”
It’d be a lie to say Solo’s reactions weren’t obvious. However, these things are a lot more obvious in a third person perspective then first…usually.
“Ah yes, my rainbow color delight is here. Perfect. And yeah, sure. Though, Solo hasn’t really shown any interest in human food. The only thing I’ve seen him a little interested was the time I made fried chicken…but I can’t tell if he was eyeing the chicken or the oil.” There was a small laugh at the memory of him lingering in the door way, but Raz felt herself sigh. “Perhaps he’ll want to try some this time. I see Oreos and crème over there.”

"I'll give you 'active' and 'the epitome of energy'." Zeke's brand of fun was rather...hit or miss with Anastacia. Most of the time it was a miss. She gave her crowned head a shake, thinking of the last bit of 'fun' Zeke had opted to try with her which had resulted in the vet getting scraped up and Anya left to watch as Brad took care of that particular damage.
"...Oh." She had regarded the Frei with a slight raise of one of her brows with his odd choice of words, but it all made much more sense when he took off his coat and showed he was naturally much better suited for a chillier clime than this one. The sight of the black and white sleeves made the Widow frown just a touch - especially when he gave that defeated sort of laugh - but she shook her head, far from giving up herself.
"Your shirt seems to be a little bit more breathable at least. And you can easily roll up the sleeves." She pantomimed the motion, drawing her left hand up her right arm to her shoulder and following suit with the reverse. This one was still young; perhaps the thought had not occurred to him. "Although if you think the might unfurl I think I have some safety pins with me..."
She paused mid-float to open her bag and dig down deep.
---
"Oh jeez I dunno..." He watched the pair come to a stop as Anya went to digging around in her purse before ticking his gaze back to Raz. "To be honest she's never shown an interest in anyone outside of friendship so your guess is as good as mine on that one." She was also a bit...socially dense at times. Anya did miss cues and things like humor were utterly lost on her. She got on well enough, he was happy to say, but if Solo was as smitten as Raz was suggesting Zeke hoped his over-obvious way about it wasn't one of those things she happened to miss.
The girl at his side mentioned Solo's interest in her cooking and it made him laugh.
"Did he ask to have the oil after you were done with it or what?" It was amusing to think about and enlightening too - so the Petroleum Frei wasn't just interested in that type of oil alone. For some reason that spawned the idea of the Akhlut downing a bottle of suntan oil in his mind and he was lost to snickering and chuckling again.
"Cookies and creme huh? It'd fit his color scheme if anything!"

Solo stared at Anya like a deer in headlights. His brain was working to catch up to him as the spider had suggested he roll up his sleeves, a thought that had escaped both him and his guardian. As embarrassment slowly caught up, so did the blush that returned once more. And if he wasn’t feeling like a fool already, he would have just rammed his head against the wall.
Bury him. Just bury him now, and let him die of embarrassment.
How could they have forgotten that he could have just rolled up his sleeves.
In an attempt to hide his horrendous awkwardness, Solo suddenly laughed loudly before responding with a smile. “Ahahahah! Why didn’t I think of that?! T-thank you, Anya!” He started rolling his sleeves up as he shuttered out his thanks. The sleeves rolled up nicely, though it seems the fabric was firm enough that it didn’t need the pins. Maybe he should do this more often so he never forgets again. “I-I think I’m okay without the pins. The sleeves seem to be staying on fine. Thank you again, Anya. Ahahahahaha…”
He had never felt this embarrassed in his life…
Raz was going to have a good laugh when she realizes what happened.
- - - “I guess we’re going to have to wait that one out. ” Raz snickered, watching as the kids stopped for a moment to handle something. “This specific song and dance is going to be interesting. ”
She couldn’t help but respond with a laugh in return at the question, and simply shook her head. “Not often but he has done it a few times; mainly after I had made some sort of deep fried food. He scrunches up his face at virgin olive oil though. ” There was no telling why Solo dislikes virgin olive oil specifically, but he seems to squint very suspiciously at olive oil in general. Perhaps she should try to get him refined olive oil instead? A thought for a later date.
Raz only grinned at Zeke’s mentioning of the ice cream matching Solo’s color scheme, and rubbed her chin at the options a few more times. Perhaps she should just share her ice cream with Solo. “Ahhhh, there’s so many options. What’re you thinking of getting?”

Before she could get too far down into her bag Solo had rolled up his sleeves and was making a grand show of not needing any pins to keep them up. Anastacia raised a brow at him before shrugging and dropping her search. If he was fine then so be it, but she couldn't fault him on his graciousness and manners. As loud and jittery as it and he was, it was a nice thing to see from someone so young.
"You're welcome. But if you need them later I do have some on hand. Your biceps might be big but gravity IS a law for a reason after all." She fixed her bag on her arm and gestured for them to keep going.
---
"Virgin olive oil huh? Interesting...Hopefully he doesn't pick up a taste for truffle oil otherwise you might be breaking the bank to feed his habit." He was smiling and then laughing again, but as curious as Raz as to why the big burly Frei turned his nose up at that one particular type of oil. Granted, no one liked everything set in front of them, but it was an unexpected dislike. "I wonder if he'll turn his nose up at some Italian foods and such when he gets big enough to have a stomach. Lotta olive oil in that!"
As he looked at the flavor board for the ice cream the vet clucked his tongue. Anything overly milky didn't seem appealing but a popsicle or sorbet sounded nice right about now.
"Maybe some rainbow sherbet. Or a popsicle; something quick and easy because I wanna get my butt in the water ASAP!"
He barked a laugh again but eyed the water with much longing through his sunglasses. The day was young and gorgeous and good god did he want to go for an extended dip. He'd been a swimmer since forever - even went for the swimming team in school - and it had been far too long since he had gotten his toes wet with some good salt water.
Before he could go on to Raz about it Anya and Solo finally arrived.
"Glad to see you two could make it!"
"You two left us in the dust." Again Anya raised a brow but this time added a shake of her head at the two grinning buffoons before her and Solo. "But yes, we're here now. Did you guys place your order?"
"Not yet! We were waiting on you two! Would either of you like anything?"
"I don't know about Solo but I'm good, thank you. I'd much rather something to do with over there." Like her Guardian before her the Widow looked wistfully toward the waterline. Unlike Zeke she wasn't much of a swimmer, but she did enjoy the feel of the surf and always wanted to hunt for shells. The latter notion made her set her mouth in a small pout. The longer they waited, the less chance she would have to find the good ones!

It takes a moment for Solo to register what Anya had said as he was a little preoccupied with the fact she mentioned his biceps. Or more specifically the lavender haired spider mentioning that they were big. He could feel his not-yet-there stomach doing a little flip as he freezes with excitement that she had just mentioned his biceps were big. Mentally he was doing cartwheels, but physically he just stopped to stare at the other with a smile on his face. Give him a couple more seconds, and he finally realizes what was happening, catches up to the other, and answers while rubbing the back of his neck. “R-right! Thank you.”
- - - “Oh god, I hope not. Thankfully he seems to have a thing for petroleum, but I guess that’s more akin to the fact that it was literally what his fel essence was.” She laughed, thinking back at the shopping she had to do. It was fine bringing cooking oil home, but buying petroleum and bringing it home was definitely an experience. She was certain the elderly neighbor living across the hall did a double take last she brought some for Solo. Maybe she should think about moving out of the apartment, and into a townhouse instead. “It definitely makes for some interesting…experiences when I bring the stuff home.”
On the topic of food, the bubblegum ice cream looks pretty good to her right now. She grinned at Zeke’s picks, and laughed at the mention of the water. “Hell yeah, can’t wait for the water. Though, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t more excited for the beach volleyballs.” Or well, more specifically watching people play beach volleyball. She came here for sun, sea, everyone having fun, and the possibility of seeing some eye candy along the way.
Hey, a woman can want eye candy too ya know.
When the two Raevans arrived, Raz tilted her head in greeting and sent Solo a Cheshire grin. In return, he gave her a warning smile which only resulted in a pout when Raz’s grin only got wider. A mental plead of mother please echoed in Solo’s head as he prayed that the pink haired woman would not poke fun at him anymore than necessary. She was probably going to have a hay day but one could hope.
“I’m good. I’ll just steal some from M-, I mean, Raz.” Solo peeped up, eyeing the ice cream a little but not showing much interest. Raz gave the other a shrug as if saying your lost before motioning at Zeke so that they could both place their orders.
