Tania had taken to wandering. Not so much to get away from the house, but so she could think. The recurring nightmares were taking their toll. The shadow mew had been trying (and failing) to stay awake each night to prevent them. She always crashed around midnight.
She was walking around Opal lake, lost in thought. She wasn't really paying attention to where she was going. She bent and picked up a particularly colorful stone, intending to give it to Karma later. "I think she'll like this," she said. It looked almost marbled with blue and green.

Ephah sat up and checked the contents of her bag. Blue stone, few herbs, and some lake water. Almost done. She closed her bag and stood up. Once she stood up she looked around just in case and she spotted someone on the other side of the lake. "Oh no" She mumbles t her self and backed behind a tree hoping that they didn't see her. She slowly started to walks around the lake to try and figure out who it was with out them seeing her

Tania wasn't paying attention, so she didn't spot Ephah right away. When she did, she hesitated. What would Karma, do, though, in proximity to someone who looked shy?
...Probably try to keep them. No, that'd been a one time thing and Declan was a special case. Tania shook her head. She walked towards Ephah. "Hi, I'm Tania."

Ephah froze in place and slowly looks at her. She shifter her bag so it's be hind her "Hello" She studied her and made sure that if she tried to move, she would see it.

Huh. Maybe less shy and more... Scared. Tania wasn't sure why, though. She studied Ephah for a moment. "It's okay," she said. "I won't hurt you."
"Are you collecting rocks, too? My sister, she loves colors so I'm looking for pretty ones."

Ephah mumbles something under her breath and moves her back to the front. she rummages threw it and pulls out some colorful rock and holds them out to her. "Here, you can takes these" She staid, still studying her. In the mean time her tail is picking herbs behind her.

Tania was surprised by the gesture and began to smile. "Thank you," she said, gratefully. She took them and carefully put each one into her pockets. "Do you want to look for more with me?" She asked. She didn't seem to notice Ephah's tail.

Ephah smiles a bit "that seems like a fun thing to do" She starts to look around for more rock. "So, what's your sister's name?"

Tania was glad for the company. "The prettiest ones are right by the edge, I think. Sometimes the water makes them smooth and flat." She paused and looked to Ephah. "My sister's name is Karma. We have Declan too, but I don't know what he is to me since he thinks Karma's his trainer. He's silly."

she chuckles a bit at hearing that. "What color does she like best?" She said as she picks up some more rocks and put them in her bag

That was... A good question. Karma didn't really seem to have a favorite. "I think the rainbow is her favorite," she said, finally. "She loves colors." The shadow mew looked to her companion. "What's your favorite color?" She asked.

Ephah thought to herself and finaly came up with the answer "Either pale pruple or neon green. They're both nice colors" She smiles and chuckles under her beath

"I like those, too," Tania agreed, and smiled at Ephah. "I think my favorite is dark blue, though. I have a dress all trimmed in blue." She bent so she could see the rocks better. She selected one and tucked it away.
"So what were you doing before we met?" She asked.

Ingredients? Huh. The shadow mew hadn't expected that. "Like for an experiment?" She asked, curiously. "My Daddy, he's a scientist! Oh, maybe you're making potions? Some kind of medicine? Can I help? What all do you need?"
