There was a sense of unease in his movements as Solo attempted to figure out where exactly he was headed. He was given his first solo errand today , and was attempting to purchase whatever Raz has written on the list in front of him. She had written the instructions for how to get to the supermarket, and what to get there…but probably did not predict the stubbornness of Solo’s need to try and do things by himself as said Raevan was now floating under the shade in an attempt to figure out where he was. He knew he should really call his Guardian on his phone, but he felt this need to show her he could do this.

There was a lot of squinting, and looking back and forth between paper and street as he tried to make sense of his location. It really wasn’t that he was directionally challenged, but…Okay maybe he was a little directionally challenged, but he’s going to get better so that Raz can rely on him more.

It couldn’t be that bad.” He had thought initially but, with the current situation, it was definitely hindsight 20/20. An irritated grunt escaped him as he held the piece of paper out in front of him once more, rotating the directions around as if that would solve everything.

Obviously it didn’t, but hey, couldn’t hurt to try.

Oh for God’s sake. I know I followed the instructions correctly…turn left at the stop light…

With Nedhudir in tow, Ethiriel had decided to go on a walk. The fresh air was always appreciated, and since her cold had gone she wanted to enjoy nature as much as possible. Henry had become more confident in the Sigel's ability to take care of herself while she was out and allowed her to go into town on her own whim. She was thankful for this: both the chance to get out and her guardian's trust.

Unlike Solo, the Sigel relied on her phone and collie to get around. It didn't help that directions were useless to a blind person without a vocal guide, but Ethiriel was fine now that she had gotten used to it.

Both Ethiriel and Nedhudir, however, managed to catch a certain other Raevan's scent, causing them to pause in their movements. Lifting her chin, Ethiriel tried to find which direction the smell was coming from: land and sea mingled as well as a distinctly fuel-like scent permeated the air. No doubt that this was another Raevan as they were the only beings to mix in such a way.

Having been trained not to get distracted, Nedhudir sat beside where Ethiriel's ribbon spiraled toward the Earth.

The look of irritated was evident on his face as he looked up from the paper once more, but it smooths over as someone caught his eye. Everything seemed to stopped as he stare at the Raevan down the street, and took note of not only the dog but the fact she had a stomach. This was the first time he’s met anyone like this (then again he hasn’t met many people in general), but perhaps she could help him with his current predicament?

Floating over slowly (because Raz said he might scare people if he just full on runs at them), Solo parked himself a feet in front of Ethiriel. He felt himself eyeing the dog in curiosity (why was it sitting down?), but also at the Raevan before him. She was definitely the first female Raevan he has met, but she was also different much like how she’s a calming green and he was monochrome. It must be the different things they were made from, or so Raz would probably tell him. However, he couldn’t help but notice there was something different about her eyes…

Once he noticed he had done nothing but stare, Solo cleared his throat to hide his embarrassment. He felt himself straighten his posture before addressing Ethiriel, “Hi! Sup! Name’s Solo, and I couldn’t help but notice you floating there! And I was wondering if, maybe, perhaps you wouldn’t mind helping a fellow Raevan in, well…

He paused for a moment as he fought back his embarrassment.

I was wondering if you know where the supermarket was…” his voice was a little sheepish, but Solo was definitely trying to hide it behind a confident smile. He felt himself fidget a little with this sudden new burst of energy from meeting another fellow Raevan, though he tries to keep himself as still as possible…With the occasionally sound of his finger fidgeting with the paper in his grasp.

As Solo approached, Ethiriel's chin lowered and a gentle smile spread across her face: she assumed that he would initiate contact first, as most others did, and she was correct. With his scent coming closer, the stronger it became.

"Hello, Solo. It's nice to meet you. My name is Ethiriel," she said, offering a nod of her head. As Solo recruited her help, the Sigel listened in interest at both his voice and his concerns. "Do you know which supermarket?" Without looking down at her phone, Ethiriel lifted it up and spoke into the mic: "Directions to the supermarket."

The phone responded vocally, listing off several markets near them. Handing it over, Ethiriel's smile remained. "I hope this helps. I know that it helps me."

Solo felt pleased with himself at taking that first step to introduce himself, and grinned widely at the nod Ethiriel gave in return. It really was exciting to meet new people! And being able to do it himself finally was great! Without even thinking, Solo darted in closer to take the other’s hand and shook it.

It’s my pleasure!” he laughed before watching her next course of actions with interest. There was an abrupt halt in his actions as he watched her speak into the phone for directions. If phones could do that why didn’t Raz just install that app for him? He felt himself question a couple of things, but why didn’t his Guardian just…

        Oh right.

He was terrible at map reading.

There was a brief shake of his head when Ethiriel asked for the specific supermarket. He really wasn’t sure that supermarkets had different names (he had just referred to all of them as supermarkets to be honest), but the directions Raz wrote down should help. He glanced at the sheet of paper before gently taking the phone with a “Thanks” before poking at the one he thought was the right one. The streets were the same as the one on the paper after all.

Eventually he hands the phone back to Ethiriel, “Thank you for helping me! I think I would have been stuck here for a good hour otherwise if you didn’t come along.

        A brief pause.

By the way, you have very unique eyes. I’ve never seen anyone like your’s! They’re really pretty.

"It's no problem," Ethiriel responded, her smile pleasant and calm. "Without this, I certainly wouldn't be able to get around. Nor would I without Nedhudir, here," she vaguely gestured toward the Collie, though her gaze didn't leave directly in front of her. If Solo had noticed, her eyes didn't focus on him.

He had noticed her eyes in one way, however.

Chuckling, Ethiriel nodded her head. "Why, thank you. I suppose they are rather special," she said, offering her hand out to her fellow Raevan -- again, they didn't quite line up with Solo. "I would like to offer you a pleasant observation but... well."

Solo’s eyes followed Ethiriel’s vague movements as she mentioned her phone and Collie, Nedhudir. He eyes lingered on the dog a little longer than necessary but went back to watching the Sigel. Something definitely felt off, Solo would say that much. Usually conversations like this would have them staring at each other, but over the course of this one he had noticed the other’s eyes were a little…off from where he stood. He squinted a little before reaching out to gently hold the other’s chin in an attempt to redirect her eyes at his.

Silence, and staring…before Solo gingerly let’s go.

Can you…see me?” he asked, a little hesitant though it’s questionable whether the unease came from concern for the other or just the notion of being blind.

Solo's invasion of personal space didn't bother Ethiriel -- in her early years, she had a habit of doing the same, so she didn't mind when others did to her. Her brows rose as she chuckled, lowering her chin once she was let go of. There was a moment's pause before she shook her head.

"I'm afraid I cannot," Ethiriel replied, her smile still in place. This would have bothered her once upon a time, but she had long come to terms and accepted her disability and was no longer bothered by it. She couldn't help but wonder what Solo looked like -- something she wondered with just about everyone she met -- but perhaps in time he would let her map him out with touch. Now wasn't the time, however, so instead she held her hand out between them, palm facing the Frei for him to meet if he chose.

Perhaps it was knowing the other could not see his distress or perhaps it was because he was honest with his feelings, but a deep scowl appeared as he suddenly went dead silent. This was the first time he had met someone who was blind and, dear god, did he feel awkward for bringing it up. It wasn’t so much the notion of being unable to see that bothered him, but the fact it felt private. There were so many questions that appeared in his mind as the information processed such as how, or why…However, asking these would just mean prying into the other’s privacy and he probably did more than enough of that for today.

There was an awkward shuffled in the monochrome Raevan’s movements before he took note of the other’s hand. He felt himself stare again once more before straightening himself figuratively and physically, and took hold of the hand.

It would be a moment before Solo blurts out, “I’m sorry if I was prying...And thanks for helping me.

Solo's silence was met with Ethiriel's upturned brows and subtle smile as he took her hand. She had long learned to not feel so awkward about her disability, fine with the hand she had been dealt -- there was a pause before her fingers curled around his, but the entanglement didn't last long before the Sigel's other hand found its way to Solo's shoulder and her other snaked to mirror. With the shortest of pauses, as if asking for permission first, she then allowed her hands to trail up to his face.

"No apologies necessary. There is no issue," said Ethiriel, her voice soft and reassuring. "I'm sorry I cannot be of more help."

Fingers trailing Solo's face, the Sigel mapped him out with the most delicate of touches. If he were to move away or twitch she would have stopped, but for now she was content with learning him. His shoulders were broad and his face defined -- she wished she could see him proper, but this would do for now. Ethiriel could only quietly wonder about his color scheme, unaware of his monochromatic appearance, but it wasn't as if she understood colors anyway. Once content, she kept her hands in place, palms against his cheeks until he wanted them removed.

"Striking."

He didn’t move when Ethiriel released his hand to grasp at his shoulders, silently permitting the Sigel to map out his appearance. He felt himself hum a little when he heard her apologizing for not being of more help, “Dude, you’ve helped me a lot. I can assure you, you have been way helpful just by going along with me.

Despite knowing the other couldn’t see it the Frei couldn’t help but smile at Ethiriel’s actions and compliment. It takes him a moment to remember the obvious fact the other couldn’t see it, but that didn’t stop him from doing the next thing that popped into his mind. Taking the other’s hand lightly, he placed it against his smile with hope that she could feel it instead. He had no idea if it’d work, but he could try!

Thank you for the compliment. Especially coming from a lady as stunning as yourself.” He felt himself chuckle a little at that as he released her hand once more, and was kindly reminded of the list of things he needed to get from the supermarket.

Yes the one that led to this meeting which he has yet to complete.

        s**t.

Ethiriel? Can I get the directions to supermarkets one more time? I…” he paused as he scratched the back of his head, “I could use a reminder before I try to head off again. I think I’ve kept you away from your own thing long enough.

To be honest, he really would have liked to stay and talk to the other Raevan a little longer. Perhaps even just find a place for the two of them to talk that’s not the street. However, he was still on that errand and Raz was still waiting for him to get home with the list of groceries…or whatever the hell they were. As he went to grab his phone to check the time, a specific notion popped into his mind as he suddenly held out his phone. “Ah…This might be weird, but do you think we could exchange phone numbers? I’d love to talk to you again or meet up again. Or, hell, even meet up with our guardians. I know Raz would just love to meet you!

Solo's thoughtful gesture of pointing out his own smile Ethiriel's spread in response. Her fingers lingered when he pulled away, gently tracing the curve of his lips, before trailing down his chin and away from Solo's skin. Despite it no longer touching, the Sigel's hand hovered just below the Frei's face.

"You're too kind," Ethiriel laughed, light and airy.

She hummed as her name was called, but as soon as the question was pressed, Ethiriel let out a soft "oh," and dug her phone back out from her pocket. Verbally commanding the phone to operate, she shook her head. "There is no issue," she said, handing over the phone for Solo to look.

"I was merely out on a stroll -- no harm done. And I was going to ask you the same thing. If you wouldn't mind adding your number, mine should be listed in the contacts as well." Ethiriel's smile easily met her eyes as she tilted her head lightly to one side. "I would love to meet with you again, as well. And your guardian. I am sure Henry would love the chance, as well."

Thank you so much.” Solo thanked once again, before noting down the directions into his cell’s notepad. He then took Ethiriel’s phone and registered his number into her’s, though at the end of his name he added a “:’D” face despite knowing she couldn’t see it. Immediately after, he also registered the other’s number into his own phone and added a flower emoticon after her name. He handed Ethiriel’s phone back to her after, before a sudden thought popped into his head. He let out a nervous laugh now that he was thinking about Raz again.

Dear god don’t let her know of his getting lost today.

I hope we get to meet up sometimes, though if you ever see Raz let’s not tell her I got completely lost today…She’s not going to let me live it down.” He could already imagine the teasing, though perhaps he might be over thinking it a bit at the not letting him live it down. “A-anyways, I have probably abused the hell out of this word but thank you. I appreciated your help so very much right now, but I gotta jet. Later Ethiriel

And regardless of whether Nedhudir understands him or not, the Frei gave the dog a thumbs up before floating off with the directions of the supermarket in mind…along with the loud sound of Narwhales, narwhales, sailing in the ocean, causing a commotion, 'cause they are so awesome playing into the distance with his voice screaming “s**t” at the top of his lungs.

Yes, today was a good day.

Ethiriel gave Solo a gentle nod and said, "Anytime." Her smile was gentle, hiding her teeth, but it was still dazzling in its own way.

"Yes, that sounds wonderful. I believe I can do that," she chuckled, taking her phone and tucking it carefully back into her pocket. The Sigel nodded again as Solo dismissed himself. "Have a wonderful day!" Ethiriel called after him as she gently tugged on Nedhudir's leash to command him to stand. She laughed a bit louder, though too soft for the Frei to hear from that distance, at the commotion Solo caused.
