Strengths: While in human form, Sabrina is no more extraordinary than any other human. She does posses a clever mind, with a pension for remembering small details. Her greatest strength in human form is her sense of justice and limitless courage. Bravery and a desire to protect runs in her blood, she is all but helpless to watch over those who cannot defend themselves.
In her Gargoyle form, Sabrina is an unstoppable force. She is equipped with razor claws and a curved, wickedly sharp beak that can shred flesh like a lawnmower over dead grass. She can fly great heights and is just strong enough to carry one full sized adult (she's not fully grown yet). In this form, Sabrina is much stronger, faster and heals quicker. There are few creatures that can stand against her when her protective fury is raised.
Weaknesses: Naturally, while in her human body, Sabrina is as frail as any normal person. This doesn't stop her from stepping forward in defence of someone, which often leads her into trouble. Also, Sabrina is a descendant of one of the original created Gargoyles, called 'The First' by the clans. This can be a problem, as each new generation is essential a reincarnation of the Gargoyle that had that bestial form before them. So Sabrina is slowly obtaining all the memories from her predecessors, a process which is very taxing and can kill her if she's not able to separate between memory and reality. But her largest weakness is her courage. Sabrina doesn't falter or flee from danger, especially if it threatens an innocent. She will stand and defend, even if it kills her.
Weapon(s): None in her human form. In her Gargoyle form, her entire body is a weapon all its own.
Power(s): A shifting ability. She can change at will into the noble and powerful form of the legendary Gryphon.

Personality: Sabrina was raised by men. All Gargoyles are males, except her. Which was a source of great interest and fear among the clans. Sabrina was raised in the traditional fashion though, taught the values of justice and right vs wrong. She is loyal and steadfast, willing to jump to the defence of pretty much anyone, so long as they aren't wicked or evil. Courageous to the point of totally insanity, Sabrina will fight till every drop of blood leaves her body if it means protecting someone she cares for. Most other times however, she's fairly withdrawn and quiet, having not been exposed to much outside of her Gargoyle clan.
Biography/Background: Contrary to what many people think, Gargoyles are not hideous beasts that breath fire from their mouths and terrorize sea fearing men. Rather, Gargouille (or more commonly called Gargoyles), were created eons ago, when man was still very young and civilization was just emerging. When black magic and sorcery were commonplace. Far away in the land now called France, a small village was being terrorized night and day by monsters of all shape and sizes. Harpies dove from the sky and plucked young screaming children from their Mothers arms. Hellhounds of fire and sulfur killed herds of cattle and the men that tried to protect them. Vampires prowled the woods and lured off villagers to be drained of all their blood, or worst, turned into one of the undead. The town was desperate, on the verge of being wiped from existence. Then one day, a dark stranger came calling. He was a cloaked man, shrouded in ragged cloth and speaking with a dry, raspy voice. The stranger claimed he could save the village, purge it clean of the horrors that threatened it.
Desperate as the people of the village were, they agreed to let the dark man help them. The stranger asked that 22 men be chosen from the village, all under the age of 25. Once these men were picked out, the stranger lead them to a clearing outside the village on the first moonless night. There, he stood the volunteers in a circle, telling them that he was going to grant them the power to defend their home forever more. The stranger then started to chant in a language none of the men knew. It was a harsh, guttural sound that echoed across the empty field. Dark, rolling thunder clouds moved over the sky and lighting split the air. From the forests edges came all manner of beasts. Wolves, bears, birds, predatory felines, snakes and lizards. The beasts started to circle the men, and despite their fear and desire to flee, none could move. They were frozen in place, caught up in the spell the stranger was weaving. The bodies of the animals started to contort and twist in unnatural ways....as did the bodies of the men. The humans screamed in pain as bestial forms started to merge with their own. Some grew horns and claws, other feathers and fur. Still others sprouted wings and tails. It was horrific, a grotesque fusing of beast and man. But when the screams stopped and the howling wind died down....where once stood 22 human men now stood fused creatures of strength and power.
The stranger that had changed the men was no where to be seen, vanishing into the night as quickly as he had come. The men of the village were disgusted with their new forms, but wasted no time in descending on the monsters of the village. They spent their fury tearing apart ghouls, shredding rouge werewolves and chased away screaming banshees. The prowling horrors that had terrorized the village were gone, the people were safe. After the carnage, the bestial men converged. Ashamed of their monstrous forms, the left their home. A council was formed between them. They had become what they were to protect....and protect they would continue to do. Thus, the era of the Gargoyle began. From city to city, clans of shifting Gargoyles would make their home. They patrolled the area, keeping safe the innocent and punishing the wicked, becoming known as Guardians. Women would offer themselves to the clans, bearing children that would carry on the genes of the noble watchers. Though these children were always male, never was a girl born from such a union. As civilization grew, the Gargoyles became more and more recused, withdrawing into a more secretive setting, knowing their presence was not as welcome as in the medieval times. But they still carried on in their duty as Protectors.
In the bustling city of London, the local Gargoyle clan carried on their duty. They watched over the city, aiding where they could while raising the next generation of Gargoyles. Then...one of their oldest members came to their home carrying in his arms a swaddled babe. This wasn't unusual, Gargoyles in this day often hired women to bare their children so their heirs could become their reincarnations. But this child wasn't expected....because this child....was a GIRL!! Never...never in the generations of Gargoyles had there EVER been a female shifter. It simply didn't happen, males were born from a Gargoyles loins, not girls. The clan elders didn't know what to make of it. She was one of them, they couldn't deny that. But they didn't know what it meant. Was the genes changing? Was the magic that made them failing? Sabrina's birth made the Gargoyle clans around the world quiver with uncertainty. What did she mean? For years, the clans circled Sabrina, trying to figure out what she was. And they failed. She was a Gargoyle, same as any other, only she was female. Finally, the clan Elder of London made a choice. If they couldn't not find out why or how Sabrina had come to be, perhaps someone else could. Dark Stone was known for getting results. Perhaps they could discover something about Sabrina that even she didn't know about herself.
The frantic pounding of feet behind her didn't cause Sabrina any alarm. She was a Gargoyle, her confidence in her ability to defend herself outweighed any sensation of fear. Not that the raven haired girl felt fear very often. It occurred from time to time, everyone had things that made them afraid. Sabrina had her moments of terror, but her instinct and courage often allowed her to push the fear aside and face whatever was in front of her. Or in this case....behind...wait....beside? Sabrina tilted her head curiously at the sudden appearance of the shorter, cubby boy. Was he a boy? He looked a bit soft and androgynous. But the smooth voice was defiantly male, so Sabrina didn't dig much deeper into her thoughts. He was speaking to her, moving closer and humming softly.
Unsure how to react to the flirtatious Taru, Sabrina merely blinked a bit. She did not step back when the purring boy moved into her personal space, honestly not sure what he was doing. She searched through her past memories gingerly. All of them were male in origin, save for those she'd made in her current lifetime. Maybe they could tell her what Taru was doing. The more adult and mature thoughts made clear what the pudgy male was up to.
Sabrina's eye's widened a bit in shock. He...found her attractive? Or at least he found her worth while to try and get more of her attention. Being raised by males, many of whom were MUCH older than her, Sabrina had 0 exposure to flirting, seduction or any form of attraction between any genders. All she had to go on was the past memories of her former lives, which was risky to tap into for too long. Taru was still chatting on, offering to carry her one lone bag. Glancing down at her suitcase then back up at his three much larger ones, she felt a small twitch on her lips.
She didn't understand or feel any attraction towards Taru, but he was very friendly and clearly innocent, with the way he talked about hugs and kisses. Which raised her Gargoyle protective instincts. And a friend in this new place would be nice to have. "Thank you for the offer...however I think you would have a great deal of trouble juggling four bags. And my belongings aren't very heavy. Aside from that, I really don't know where my room is." At this, Sabrina's small smile left and she resumed a neutral expression, looking around the deserted campus. It was pretty, she'd give the school that. But somehow it still felt like a prison. Was it supposed to feel like that? Sabrina looked up at the sky, falling into a daze for a moment. What she won't give to go for a long flight before being bound to this place. Well, maybe she'd fly around a bit later. Taru's apologises broke her trance and Sabrina looked back over at the stout boy, seeing him bowing humbly.
He said he was a chef and would cook her food. Sabrina blinked back at the rosy cheeked Taru, not sure what to say. She liked food, but didn't have a specific favorite one. Though...maybe chocolate. She did like chocolate. It took her a few moments to realise that Taru had stopped talking and was looking at her. Blinking again, it clicked that he was likely waiting for her answer, "Sabrina Callahan. Nice to meet you Taru." Somewhere in the back of her mind, she recognised that he was still flirting with her, likely waiting for some kind of acknowledgement. Her primary male memories told her this was a normal social interaction between young men and women. So, while she was beginning to enjoy Taru's company, she also wasn't ready to encourage his actions. But she certainly wouldn't stop him.
Looking back at the lonesome school, she kept her neutral expression and spoke with a steady voice to her new acquaintance, "Seems were alone here, doesn't it. If you like Taru, you can join me in finding the Dorm rooms. What brings you to Dark Stone anyway?" Learning a bit about the bubbly boy wouldn't hurt. Sabrina could already feel herself wanting to protect Taru. Not because she felt any attraction towards him, but simply because he was friendly, naïve and above all, innocent. Her Gargoyle upbringing rose to the surface, no one would harm Taru while she watched over him. She would see to that.
