Tonight was the first round matches for TNWR iMPACT's Gold Rush tournament. The winner would go on to be the brand's top champion. Aleks Mason had just come off a victory against the legendary Undertaker. Aleks had cooled down in the locker rooms after the match, but he was asked to once again do an interview with Renee Young. He agreed, of course, so he stood by as Renee waited for the cameras to start rolling. Once they did, she would introduce the star.
Renee Young: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time: Aleks Mason.
Aleks would walk into the frame, ready to be asked some illogical questions, much like their last encounter on the last episode. Nonetheless, he was willing to comply for a few minutes.
Renee Young: Aleks, you just came off a huge victory, maybe the biggest in your career, in a match against the Undertaker.
Renee pointed the microphone towards Mason, and he began to speak. "Renee, that man has not been relevant in over a decade. I made his name relevant again tonight, just by being in the ring with him tonight. Before the match I said I would become immortal. And as I progress in this tournament I come closer and closer to that. This is global.. no.. this is UNIVERSAL news." Aleks would smile, allowing Renee to ask another question.
Renee Young: Speaking of progressing in this tournament, tonight you had your first round match with possibly the toughest opponent in the tournament, does this send a statement to the rest of the competitors?
"It doesn't matter if it was The Undertaker, or if I had the displeasure of once again stepping into the ring with Trent, whoever I would have defeated tonight, it would have sent the statement out to everyone in the tournament that I am going all the way. I've proven that despite my opponent, legend or loser, I will always prevail. Renee, as of now I don't have blood rushing through my veins. Ask me what's rushing through my veins. Ask me!" Aleks would cease to speak until Renee asked the demanding question.
Renee Young: ..What.. What's rushing through your veins?
"It's a GOLD RUSH, baby." Aleks would smile before walking out of frame, putting an end to the interview. Renee would awkwardly stare at him walking away until the screen faded to black.
