The grounds just outside of the dorms are beautiful and rustic. There are trees, benches, gardens, and a little pond.

"I am really not sure you should be driving on the grass," came a voice from the open window in the back seat. The driver just growled and mumbled about it being the fastest way to get done and out before something noticed him. Reaching the door, the car stopped long enough for Panuell to get out and retrieve his bags before it took off in a torrent of kicked up grass and dirt. Sitting on his largest suitcase, Phan rested his head on his knees and looked up at the intimidating edifice and began to wonder what was next. Also what was keeping the serving staff...jees the place looked deserted!
Yeesh, is this a school or a jail?

Yalothaek Phugthaiala The Groundskeeper Where: Outside Dorms | With: A new Arrival | Doing: Getting new Arrival to follow | Mood: Calm Theme: RAGE - "Overture"Battle Theme: RAGE - "Black in Mind" A series of sickening gurgles and squelches rumbled out from the amorphous goo as it lurched out from the main building and headed across the grounds to greet one of the new arrivals. As it approached, the Shoggoth's upper side bulged out with five or so eyes to watch the boy, and growled out in a shrill voice, "YOU! New Student! Get your things, go inside. I will take you to the Headmaster. Do not dawdle!"

The squishing liquid sounds didn't bother him at first. The sounds of gurgles like sewage back up out of the drain didn't even make him budge. With shaggy blond hair draping over his legs from resting his forehead on his knees. No, it was the unsavory voice that got a reaction. And what a reaction it was. For a full second or two he simply gazing at the shapeless blob.
Slowly as if coming out of a daze, his eyes widened. "Wh..what is it?" Phanuell fell back sending his legs up over his head as he clumsily tried to scramble away from the thing before him. "Some one help! There is a... a.. HELP?" Every time he thought he would make it to his feet, he only ended up tripping over himself in a panic. He entire body trembled at the sight of the thing.
Hazel eyes darted around looking for any other signs of life. Looking for the driver that dumped him in the hellish place. Wasn't he simply going to a new academy? This wasn't an academy, this was something straight out of a horror novel. "Guards, TEACHER, FIRE!" Phan hollered as he finally found his footing and started for the door to the entrance hall of the dorms. He was headed in any direction that was away from that.
OMG what is that?

He retrieved his large brown suitcases from the trunk with little effort thanks to his muscular arms and patted the taxi on to signal its services were no longer required. Once the car was out of sight, he began making his way round the campus to get a feel for his new home. It was important for him to know the grounds as well as his lab for he was equal parts beast to brain, and both needed space to roam. On his walk, mentally tagging the sights and scents of the grounds as he went, he found himself rounding a corner and arriving in a courtyard just outside the student's barracks, he believed, that was if the map he was given was accurate. In the yard was a child screaming hysterically trying to avoid a truly repugnant creature who, if sources were correct, was the grounds keeper. Though Aspen couldn't be sure, so he decided to ere on the side of caution and go rescue the child. Dropping his cases he rushed over to the hysterical boy to steady him before he got to far. "Whoa there Lad. I got you. You all right?" He opened with his deep masculine accent as he stopped the lad by his shoulder and turned him towards him. Quickly Aspen looked the other over for injuries, though none were visible. He gave a nod for the other to stay put, then turned to the blob, setting himself in between the two if his assumptions were wrong. "Mr. Phugthaiala I presume?" he asked confidently, asserting his dominance as an authority figure, and fellow staff member if it was indeed Phugthaiala, or his lack of fear if it were not.

Yalothaek Phugthaiala The Groundskeeper Where: Outside Dorms | With: A New Arrival and A New Teacher | Doing: Getting new Arrivals to follow | Mood: Calm Theme: RAGE - "Overture"Battle Theme: RAGE - "Black in Mind" The Shoggoth groundskeeper continued toward the boy, practically unfazed by the frantic screams of terror. "Calm down, child! I do not want to harm you. Gather your things!", he told the boy in as soothing a voice he could manage, though it was quite possibly even more frightening. Stopping his advance when Aspen, one of the other faculty, had put himself between Yalo and the Boy, the amorphous horror extended out a grotesque hand toward the fleshy wall of mscle. A 'handshake' was a common greeting among their kind, was it not? "I am. Please, calllllll me Yalo. Easier for your tonguesssss to speak. Take the boy and his things inside, I will bring you two to Headmaster Savina. Tekeli-li, Tekeli-li!"

He was slightly apprehensive at first when the other extended his hand like appendage in his direction for a formal greeting, but knew it would be rude to decline. As his strong hand met with the other's Aspen could feel his body shutter at its slimy touch though he was determined to suppress his outward emotions and put on a brave face. The mass opened by requesting he be henceforth called Yalo for it was easier to say. To which Aspen retorted "I'm a Chemist, I'm used to saying strange things others can't pronounce." He couldn't resist a smile at his cleverness before continuing. "But ai Yalo works fine for me. If Aspen works for you. If not you can call me Red. All mi friends do." Aspen then turned to the boy behind him who he was now charged with helping back inside by Yalo. With a smile he said "Gave us a bit of a scare now didn't he? ... I guess you can't truly know what to expect round here. Come on. let's go get your bags." His voice was affirming and friendly, to show that they were in this together. Students who felt they were being noticed generally made better students in Aspen's experience. He proceeded over to the pile of suitcases and picked up the largest one, hefting it over his shoulder, followed by the next largest in his other hand. He would pick up his bags on the way back in for they were closer to the building on the other side.

Peeking from under the armpit of the rather impressively built teacher, Aspen he thought he remembered hearing, he was forced to the conclusion that either this was real or the strangest nightmare he had ever had. Seeing the handshake and the continuing conversation, he was forced to conclude that the creature was not only sentient, but employed by the school. With that realization he flushed bright red, let out a small groan and ducked back behind his savior so he could compose himself. As he forced himself to relax, he realized his back felt like it was on fire. He put it down to tumbling over backwards when he first startled awake. "What a wonderful birthday,"he mumbled distractedly as he rubbed at a shoulder blade. While collecting his errant bags; he stopped, picked an eye to focus on and bowed before the fleshy thing "Umm...sorry for my reaction Mr. Yalo." With that he turned and hugged the large man buisily collecting what bags he could. "Thank you so much," he said. before turning back and brushing some of the grass from his clothing and readjusting his bag straps. "So which way to the headmaster?" As he turned to go into the building, a single unnaturally white feather the size and shape of an adults upturned palm fluttered to the ground and disappeared in a shower of light. [Exit to the headmaster.] Off to see the wizard.

He tensed only for a second before realizing what was happening. He would have returned the embrace if he wasn't already preoccupied with the bags and if he knew the kid a bit more. Aspen gave great hugs, not to hard but just firm enough to make the receiver feel safe enclosed in his mighty arms. But that would have to be delayed for another time. He settled for a smile before following the flesh monster inside. Along the way he just barely caught a glimpse of a small brief flash of light emanating from the young lad's which produced a large white feather. It lingered lazily in the air until it met with the ground and dissolved like stardust. There was something different about this boy, something that made Aspen want to take special note of him to see where he would go. He placed the boy's bags just inside the main entry before running back out to retrieve his own and set them down beside the others. Aspen was not intending on making a first impression of hauling his personal effects through the head masters office. He had heard she is a very strict woman and would not take to kindly to such. He would have to retrieve them again later, but figured it better they be inside than out in the yard. There was hardly anyone around to disturb them anyway. He then continued to follow Yalo to the demon lady's office. "Lead the way my amorphous friend." [Exit to: Headmaster's Office]

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX☽☾ S𝔞𝔟𝔯𝔦𝔫𝔞 C𝔞𝔩𝔩𝔞𝔥𝔞𝔫 ☽☾ "I won't be made useless" "I won't be idled with despair" Theme ╪ I'm With: No One ╪ I'm Located: Outside the Dorms ╪ I'm Feeling: Accepting ╪ Wearing She sat in silence as the smooth car continued to climb up the winding mountain road. Eyes the color of winter spruce trees stared out the window, devoid of emotion, simply enjoying the view. Long midnight tresses framed a youthful face that didn't smile. She simply accepted. Beside her, an elder man with a neatly trimmed beard which was white with age looked ahead as the care continued to move forward. From time to time, the senior would glance over at the teen girl, wondering about her silence. Sabrina sensed this sparing looks through the ride, but didn't acknowledge her escort till they were almost to their destinations. Then...and only then did she speak. Her voice did not waver, did not hold any notes of fear or blame. It was smooth and steady, merely holding a melody of question.
"Must I go Elder?" That was all she said. The raven haired girl did not turn to look at the seated man. She kept looking out the window as the walled and gated complex approached at an alarming speed. The old man turned to look at her again. An enigma...a mystery and a potential omen. That was what the young Sabrina Callahan was. At least to them, the few remaining Gargoyles in the world. The first female reincarnation....the ONLY female Gargoyle ever born. Even with his memories, which spanned over 10 lifetimes, the very idea of a female in the Clans had been preposterous. Males were born as the next in line, not women. Yet...here sat Sabrina. The newest Gargoyle to bear her Father's form, the noble Gryphon. Her parent was gone now, killed trying to save a family from an apartment that was burning to the ground. Sabrina was getting those memories, those flashes of how her soul had died before her.
He didn't know what to say. No words he could say would be of comfort. He had no answers, nothing to sooth her worries or his own. So he merely said the truth. "Yes....yes Sabrina. I'm afraid you must go. The Clans...need answers. You need answers. This place...it may give it to us all." Sabrina didn't respond for a bit, waiting till the car had circled the drop off point. She waited till the driver opened the door and waited till after she'd stepped outside. Her bags were placed at her feet as she looked over the deserted campus. Her Guardian stood beside her, waiting for her to say something. Finally...she did.
"If I am a threat to the Clans, you know my life is willing forfeited...Don't you Elder?" At this, Sabrine tilted her head, looking up at the Elder with clear eyes. There was no fear, no hesitantion and no question. It was a fact, one that she had stated before to him. The response was not a surprise to the elder man, but it made him frown none the less. Sabrina may be a girl, but she was still Clan. And Gargoyles did not kill their own. "I know Sabrina. But it is my hope that it will never come to that. Obey the Headmaster here. She is a strict and harsh women, but the results of Dark Stone cannot be denied. You know where to come if you need." The doe eyed girl simply nodded, reaching down to pick up her bag.
It was heavier than she remembered. Perhaps from grief of leaving the Clan's protection. No...she was a protector, fear was not a factor in her mind. Uncertainty perhaps? Some measure of excitement? Or the thought of the unknown? Either way, Sabrina made her way towards the building. She did not look back, looking back would mean she was hesitant, which she was not. This was being done for her Clan, something she would gladly die for if needed. Onto Dark Stone it was. Behind her, she heard the car door close and the surprisingly quiet engine rev. The Elder was gone...all that was left was her. Sabrina walked on. Steady, smooth and without hesitation.
"My hands are small, I know," "But they're not yours they are my own" "And I am never broken"

It was a long and quiet drive, but eventually, a light blue Toyota Prius pulled up to the front gates of Dark Stone Academy. Inside the car sat a loving mother, her face tired as she tried her best to keep up whatever strength she gathered from their earlier meal. ”Well, it looks like we’re here my son.” The mother called out in a Southern Drawl, forcing a smile to come to her face. Despite the fact that she was happy that her son had the opportunity to attend such a prestigious school, she still couldn’t help but feel that ‘Empty-Nest’ Syndrome. Her loving little child was leaving her happy little home to pursue his dreams. She had nothing but the utmost faith in her son to know he will do well and keep the pride of the family name. ”Ya know, there’s still time for you to go back if you want to.” She called out again, feeling the tears forming in the corner of her eyes as she turned her head to see her loving son fast asleep in the back of the car, a small line of drool falling down the side of his face. She let out a small chuckle, unbuckling herself before crawling her way across the car, reaching out to gently place a hand on her son’s shoulder, giving him a small shake. ”Wake up son. Come on now, ya hear? We’re at the school. No need for you to be late.” His mother softly began to coax her son awake, continuing to nudge at him gently.
One thing about Taru, he was a very heavy sleeper sometimes. More importantly, he acted much like an overgrown child, long car rides putting him to sleep. ”Mm… not now Momma… Sleepin’. Gimme five minutes…” He muttered, his own adorable Southern Drawl echoing softly throughout the small space of the car. His mother let out a small sigh, a genuine smile coming to her face. Only her son… She thought to herself as she continued nudging her son awake. After a few minutes more worth of shaking, Taru began to stir, a tired look coming to his face as his dark colored eyes fluttered open. ”Mm…? Wha?” Taru mumbled, blinking twice as he brought a hand up to begin rubbing at his eyes, letting out a loud yawn as he did so. Geez, how long has he been asleep for? ”Oh my, my! Momma! What are ya doin’? Ain’t ya suppose to be drivin’?” Taru questioned, giving a small tilt of his head.
”Dear, we’re already at the school. I’ve been spending the past few minutes tryin’ to shake you awake…” His mother pointed out, leaning away from her son, chuckling softly at his sudden antics.
”Oooooohhh?!” He suddenly exclaimed, a look of panic coming to his face as he began to try and reach for the seatbelt. Reaching out, he began to attempt to free himself from the restraints, but his sleepiness mixed in with his panic caused the little chef to be unable to do so – only seeming to further his panicked state. With sweat dripping down his face, Taru began to cry out, large bunny ears popping up out of nowhere on the top of his head. ”Whaaaaa! I’m going to be late! No way! No way! No way! I can’t be late on my first day?! Ahhh! What a horrible first impression on my fellow peers! No, no, no, no, no, no! I despise horrible first impressions! They mean everything!” He cried out in a panic, continuing to struggle with his seatbelt for a few moments longer before… Just giving up. Reaching up to grab at his curly brown locks, a look of dread came to the little chef’s face as he bowed his head in shame, a small little cloud looming over him. ”This is hopeless… I’m going to be a victim of the dreadful seatbelt. I’ll never get out! I’ll be late to school and I—I’ll… Whhaaa! I’ll starve to death?! Mommmmaaa!” He cried out, the thought of starving to death caused him to resume in his desperate struggle to escape from the seatbelt. ”How am I going to uphold the family name – to prove my worth as a world class famous chef if I am confined like this?! This is unacceptable! I will not tolera--- Ehhh…?” Taru’s rant was cut off mid sentence as his mother leaned forward, reaching out to push his hand away from the seatbelt and with a simple push of the button released her son from the trap.
Taru’s eyes widened a bit, the bunny ears disappearing from the top of his head as tilted his head back to look at his mother, a bashful smile on his face. ”Ehehehe… I… I… I was just ahem. Testing it! Veeerrrry safe… Mmhmmm…” Taru averted his eyes to the side, a bead of sweat dripping down the side of his face as he began to giggle.
His mother felt a small smile forming on her face, staring at her son as he began to move about in his seat gathering up the things he used to entertain himself on the car ride to the Academy. ”If only I can keep you by my side forever. Why I’d be so happy!” She chimed happily, reaching out to gently touch upon her son’s face, causing Taru to stop in his spot to look over to her.
”Aww, momma. You know I’d love nothin’ more than that too. But… I’m going to hafta leave ya at some point. How else am I going to pursue my dreams? My name in lights… Restaurants all around the world. The Yukimura name will go down in history!” Taru declared proudly, puffing out his chest in an attempt at looking cool, as he leaned in to his mother’s affectionate touch. How he was going to miss this… But he had no choice but to leave his mother and his family behind. In order to do the things he wanted to do in life… In order to see that smile on his mother’s face.
”I know, I know… Mmm… I love you so much.” She murmured, feeling the tears falling down her face. He son was so mature, so grown up. This school was going to make Taru grow up and be a man anyone would be proud of!
”Now, now Momma… Please don’t cry. Y-You’re going to make me cry. Ahh… N-Now A’hm cryin’!” Taru cried out, tears falling down his face as he leaned away from his mother’s touch and leaned forward, nuzzling his nose against hers in an affectionate manner. This of course was just something the two of them always did, ever since he was a little kid. It was always a source of comfort – for the both of them. After a few moments of nuzzling with one another, Taru pulled away, letting out a giggle a genuine smile coming to his face as the tears continued falling from his face. ”Alright, now it’s really time for me to get going. If I don’t I’m going to end up being late, and you know I’m a stickler on first impressions.” Taru replied, a smile coming to his face as he opened the door to the car and went hopping out. His mother settled back into her seat, reaching up to wipe the tears from her eyes.
Going to the back of the car, Taru popped open the trunk, reaching out to grab at his three suitcases. Once those were in his hands, he pulled them out of the trunk, being sure to place them down gently on the ground before closing the trunk and making his way over to the drive side door. ”Alright now, I want you to take care of yourself. If’in you need anything, don’t hesitate to call me, okay?” With that being said, Taru leaned forward once again, nuzzling his nose against his mother’s. ”I’m going to be just fine here, I promise. So try not to worry about me too much. Just… focus on getting better, okay?” He spoke, a genuine concern coming to his voice as he leaned away, looking in to his mother’s eyes. Was she going to be alright without him taking care of her? How he hoped so… ”Well, I’m off now. Take care of yourself Momma!” Giving a small wave goodbye, Taru watched as his mother drove off, standing in his spot until she disappeared from sight. She was going to be just fine… He silently assured himself as he grabbed on to his luggage and began to walk off, holding his head up high.
Today was his first day, he needed to show off and make a good impression on his fellow peers and teachers! So, with that, Taru puffed out his chest and began to walk off, a small swing to his hips, a confident grin on his face. Nothing was going to bring him down today! Let’s just see what joys this school year will bring for him! Clearing his throat, Taru dismissed his earlier Southern Drawl and instead took on a suave and seductive voice. No one is going to know of his little secret! Who would like a little country boy? No, no! The city was where it was at! With his City boy persona in play, he'll have the entire school eating out of the palm of his hands in no time! Assuming of course... He didn't scare everyone away with his flirting and suggestive comments...
Along the way he noticed a rather… Pretty looking girl also making her way towards the school. Hmm… A possibility of making a new friend already?! Or perhaps… Someone that Taru could get to know in a, you know, typical Taru matter? Hopefully the girl didn’t mind a little bit of flirting~! With a small chuckle slipping past his lips, a playful grin crossed his face as he went running off in the direction of the girl, leaving a small trail of dust behind him.
Within seconds he appeared at the girl’s side, a sudden glint forming in the corner of his eyes as he turned to look at the girl. ”Well hello there.” Taru called out to her, a small purr to his words as he spoke. Time to lay on the good old Taru charm… ”Are you new to this school as well? Well, don’t we have something in common already! Isn’t that… Wonderful?” Taru murmured as he took a step towards her, the corner of his lips twitching into that of a lopsided grin. ”Why don’t the two of us become… Friends, mmm?” He inquired, arching a curious brow skywards. ”And allow me to show the first act of friendship by offering to carry your luggage for you? Oh, how I wouldn’t mind that! Maybe, once we get you to your room… You can repay me for such a kind favor by… Giving me hug? Or oohh! A kiss on the cheek would do just nicely as well~” There was a darkening blush spreading across his already permanently blushing cheeks as he let out a small giggle. How he wouldn't mind a kiss or two on the cheek right about now! It would most certainly cheer him up from having to leave his mother behind!
Oh! Where were his manners?! Here he was trying to flirt with this girl, and he didn’t even bother to introduce himself! Here Taru was a stickler on first impressions… He was sure his charming good looks were enough to make a good first impression his words weren’t leaving a good first impression… ”Oh my, my! How rude of me!” The chef gasped, taking a small step back from Sabrina, taking the moment to bow to the girl. ”It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Taru Yukimura. Future World Famous Chef, at your service mademoiselle~” Taru spoke, as he straightened up from his bow, being sure to grace Sabrina with his most charming of smiles. ”If there is ever a certain food you crave… Feel free to come find me! I will be more than happy to cook for you. Mhmhmhm!” Taru chimed happily, letting out a playful little giggle as he tilted his head to the side, taking the moment to give the girl a good once over. Well, wasn’t she a pretty one? ”The only payment I ask for, is a moment of your time and a beautiful smile. Which a beauty like yourself… Mmm… I bet your smile can knock the socks off of any man! Heehee~” The chef replied, a small flirty undertone to his words. Nice one Taru! He silently declared, grinning outwardly at his own thoughts.

She was a Gargoyle, her confidence in her ability to defend herself outweighed any sensation of fear. Not that the raven haired girl felt fear very often. It occurred from time to time, everyone had things that made them afraid. Sabrina had her moments of terror, but her instinct and courage often allowed her to push the fear aside and face whatever was in front of her. Or in this case....behind...wait....beside? Sabrina tilted her head curiously at the sudden appearance of the shorter, cubby boy. Was he a boy? He looked a bit soft and androgynous. But the smooth voice was defiantly male, so Sabrina didn't dig much deeper into her thoughts. He was speaking to her, moving closer and humming softly.
Unsure how to react to the flirtatious Taru, Sabrina merely blinked a bit. She did not step back when the purring boy moved into her personal space, honestly not sure what he was doing. She searched through her past memories gingerly. All of them were male in origin, save for those she'd made in her current lifetime. Maybe they could tell her what Taru was doing. The more adult and mature thoughts made clear what the pudgy male was up to.
Sabrina's eye's widened a bit in shock. He...found her attractive? Or at least he found her worth while to try and get more of her attention. Being raised by males, many of whom were MUCH older than her, Sabrina had '0' exposure to flirting, seduction or any form of attraction between any genders. All she had to go on was the past memories of her former lives, which was risky to tap into for too long. Taru was still chatting on, offering to carry her one lone bag. Glancing down at her suitcase then back up at his three much larger ones, she felt a small twitch on her lips.
She didn't understand or feel any attraction towards Taru, but he was very friendly and clearly innocent, with the way he talked about hugs and kisses. Which raised her Gargoyle protective instincts. And a friend in this new place would be nice to have. "Thank you for the offer...however I think you would have a great deal of trouble juggling four bags. And my belongings aren't very heavy. Aside from that, I really don't know where my room is." At this, Sabrina's small smile left and she resumed a neutral expression, looking around the deserted campus. It was pretty, she'd give the school that. But somehow it still felt like a prison. Was it supposed to feel like that? Sabrina looked up at the sky, falling into a daze for a moment. What she won't give to go for a long flight before being bound to this place. Well, maybe she'd fly around a bit later. Taru's apologises broke her trance and Sabrina looked back over at the stout boy, seeing him bowing humbly.
He said he was a chef and would cook her food. Sabrina blinked back at the rosy cheeked Taru, not sure what to say. She liked food, but didn't have a specific favorite one. Though...maybe chocolate. She did like chocolate. It took her a few moments to realise that Taru had stopped talking and was looking at her. Blinking again, it clicked that he was likely waiting for her answer, "Sabrina Callahan. Nice to meet you Taru." Somewhere in the back of her mind, she recognised that he was still flirting with her, likely waiting for some kind of acknowledgement. Her primary male memories told her this was a normal social interaction between young men and women. So, while she was beginning to enjoy Taru's company, she also wasn't ready to encourage his actions. But she certainly wouldn't stop him.
Looking back at the lonesome school, she kept her neutral expression and spoke with a steady voice to her new acquaintance, "Seems were alone here, doesn't it. If you like Taru, you can join me in finding the Dorm rooms. What brings you to Dark Stone anyway?" Learning a bit about the bubbly boy wouldn't hurt. Sabrina could already feel herself wanting to protect Taru. Not because she felt any attraction towards him, but simply because he was friendly, naïve and above all, innocent. Her Gargoyle upbringing rose to the surface, no one would harm Taru while she watched over him. She would see to that.
"My hands are small, I know," "But they're not yours they are my own" "And I am never broken"

Hmm? What was this? A girl that didn’t move from Taru’s advances? Even when he stepped closer to her? Now this was interesting… And something the little chef definitely enjoyed! Yes, he could see it now, Sabrina and him were going to be the best of friends! Not to mention, is seemed like his new friend was checking him out just as much as he was checking her out! Was she already falling for his charms? Oh how he’d hope so! Taru continued smiling happily in Sabrina’s direction, nearly bouncing in his spot in all his sudden excitement. Not even on the school grounds for five minutes and he made a friend – a very cute one at that!
The only downfall, she seems to be unaware that he was actually trying to compliment her through his playful flirting. Everyone deserved a little pick-me-up every now and again. That why Taru went out of his way to flirt with people – even if he was met with rejection in the form of a slap to the face. He knew he did his job well when he watched them walk off, a smile on their faces. Maybe in due time he could help Sabrina figure out that his intentions although pure, were met with an honest sincerity. Sabrina really was beautiful!
Tilting his head to the side, Taru released his grip on his suitcase, reaching up to poke his bottom lip with his index finger as he stared into her widened eyes. Was she not used to having someone flirting with her? Just another thing Taru would have to teach her he supposed! ”Mmm? Why do you look at me like that? Do you not believe my words to be true? Because by the way, they are indeed true! You are very beautiful~ I may be trying to flirt with you right now, but I assure you, I mean every word I say.” Taru spoke happily, a grin stretching from ear to ear. But seeing as she made no attempt to stop him and his flirtatious ways, did that mean he was welcome to continue doing it?
At the decline to have Taru carry her bags, Taru watched as the small smile left Sabrina’s face faded, causing the little chef to pout a bit. ”Believe me, it is nothing I can’t handle! Heehee~ I’ve carried a lot more than what I am supposed to many of times! It really is no problem for me. I mean, what’s one more thing to hold? Unless of course you have something valuable in which you don’t want anyone touching, then that is perfectly understandable. I myself have a few valuable goodies hidden away in my suitcases.” Taru spoke, a mysterious glimmer forming in the corner of his dark colored eyes as he thought to his various bottles of ‘special ingredients’ he’d put into his food. These ingredients is what made his food… Addicting and cause many people to keep coming back for me. However, it’s not like he really needed the special ingredients to show someone a good time in the form of his delicious meals! Seeing the girl before him get distracted from the conversation, watching as Sabrina turned her head to look at the front of the school, Taru too turned his head to look at the school, feeling a small shudder roll down his spine. What was this feeling? ”How beautiful this school is… Errmm… In an… ominous kinda sense, don’t you think?” Taru proceeded to inquire, his dark colored orbs narrowing slightly as his nose began to twitch smelling the air around them. ”Hmm… I wonder…” The little chef began to mumble, reaching up to delicately place a hand under his chin a thoughtful expression coming to his face. The gears in his mind were slowly going to work, trying to analyze the building before him. According to the research he did upon the place (there really wasn’t much to go on), this was supposed to be a very high class school, guaranteeing success to all those that enter the building. But if this was the case, what was with the scary and intimidating looking walls surrounding the school? Could they be that concerned for the safety of the children in the school that they went through such extensive lengths to keep people at bay? Yes, that must be it! How wonderful this school was, trying to make sure the best of the best in all the world were safe while they studied and worked towards the future of the career paths they chose!
”Heehee! That must be it!” Taru suddenly exclaimed (as if she could somehow understand what he was thinking), breaking through the silence as he threw his hands into the air, a joyous look coming to his face. ”Ahh, this place is absolutely wonderful, don’t you agree? Going through such lengths to keep us safe. Only the crème de la crème are accepted to this school, it’s only natural there would be jealous people trying to break into the school and compromise our learning. Oh man! This place is great!” Taru cooed, throwing in a perfect French accent for effect, finding a new found appreciation for the school washing away his earlier suspicions. Though there was still that tiny part inside of him that dreaded being here... There was something odd in the air his sensitive nose picked up on earlier. But what this ‘something’ was, he had no idea. So for now, until he was able to figure out this ‘something’, he was going to fill himself with the belief that this school was the best! Such is the way of Taru, always optimistic in all situations – or seriously stuck in a constant state of denial, one really couldn’t tell with him. I refuse to believe that anything wrong can happen in this school! I promised Momma I would be safe here… I can’t break that promise! Yup, denial was in full swing right now…
So, trying to dismiss himself from such troubling thoughts, Taru focused his attention back on to Sabrina, giving the girl a humble bow in greeting before introducing himself and offering to cook her something sometime. While she didn’t give him an idea of what she liked to eat, she did introduce herself. Sabrina Callahan… Looking down at his hands, Taru went to work, scribbling her name across his palm with his index finger. Once, twice, three times… Perfect! He’d remember it forever now! Looking back up to Sabrina, Taru’s face was once again a dark red in color as he began to giggle, reaching up to clasp his hands in front of him. ”Sabrina Callahan. Ahh, what a beautiful name~” Taru chimed merrily, sparkles in his eyes as he looked up to his first friend at the academy. ”Sabrina… The name of my first friend at the academy! Oh what a joy this is! My first friend~” Taru exclaimed, overcome with such happiness he began to bounce up and down in his spot acting much like a child in a candy store. ”I can already see it now, the two of us are going to be the best of friends already Sabrina! Heehee~ I look forward to getting to know you more.” The little chef spoke, little hearts floating around him, as the thought of getting to know his friend filled his mind. This day was going to be great he could already see it now! Though he couldn’t help but wonder… Just how many more friends was he going to make today?
He was soon pulled from his thoughts as Sabrina spoke up, making a mentioning that the two of them were… Alone. Oh really now? Was Sabrina trying to suggest something now? A half lidded look crossed his dark colored orbs, the corners of his lips curling into that of a coy little smirk. ”Mmm? Alone you say?” Taru questioned, taking a moment to glance around the area. Well, it was true they were alone! So why would she point out the obvious unless of course… She was trying to say something? ”Oh, my, my! It appears we truly are alone for the time being. How perceptive of you~” Taru giggled, reaching up with both hands to cup at his cheeks, trying desperately to hide the blush that began to creep across his face. Behind him, a small little cotton tail appeared and began to twitch happily. If one couldn’t tell how happy Taru was, that was a sure giveaway to how he was truly feeling! ”Are you… Trying to imply something my dear? I mean, I’m not opposed to it or anything you may want to tell me! Heehee~ I knew my charms were strong, but I didn’t think I’d have you falling for me already!” Taru gushed, a flustered look quickly replacing his suggestive glance from earlier as he began to wiggle in his spot. ”Oh my! What do I say? What do I do…? I am so flustered right now! I-I’m speechless!” The little chef went on to babbling, dropping his gaze down to the ground, trying to hide the embarrassed look on his face.
He was then taken out of his thoughts, his face returning back to his usual bright and cheery smile as he looked up to Sabrina as she offered to spend some more time with him in means of finding their dorms together. She wanted to keep spending time with Taru? Wow… She really was a great friend! Better than those ‘other friends’ he had back at his old school. Let’s just hope that she doesn’t turn out like the others that wanted to be his friend... ”Yes, yes! I would love nothing more than to spend some more time with you Sabrina!” The boy replied, enthusiasm in his voice as he threw his hands in the air. ”Oh-ho-ho! How exciting, how thrilling… The two of us spending time together, all the while on an adventure to find our dorm rooms! Hmhmhm! Let us go on ahead Sabrina! Adventure awaits!” Reaching out to grab hold of his suitcases, Taru went walking off in the direction of the front door to the school, unable to hold back the giggle that came slipping past his lips.
At the question of his reasoning behind coming to the school, Taru made his way over to the door and pushed open the door, holding it open for Sabrina to step inside. His reasoning for coming to the school… ”Well, I’m sure you know at least the basic information about this school. A ninety-nine percent rate of success for any students that come to this school – An almost guaranteed spot in your field of choice.” Taru began, a dreamy look coming to his face as he let out a small content sigh. Once he graduated from this school he would go on to pursue his greatest dreams! ”And if you couldn’t already tell, I plan on becoming the best chef in the entire world! And graduating from such a prestigious school like this… It’ll only help my cause! Despite what people think, the culinary field is very competitive. Chefs are very passionate about their food, pleasing other people’s delicate tastes… Why, the field is so competitive behind the scenes, there are rumors chefs ate other chefs alive! Ermm… Well, not literally of course. Because that would just be crazy.” Taru replied, letting out a loud nervous laugh as he used his free hand to rub the back of his head. Just imagining such a thing was enough to cause a shudder to run down his spine! ”Anyway, I have dreams I wish to pursue. I want my name up in lights, I want to… I want to teach people the joys of cooking, the same way Momma did when I was a child… To open up my own restaurants all over the world… To please people and bring them happiness as they dig in to a good meal. Most importantly…” Taru paused for a moment the passion for his future evident in his eyes and voice as he spoke. However, when he took a moment to calm himself down he averted his eyes away from Sabrina as an embarrassed blush returned to his face again. Was It really okay to let her know the true reasons about why he wanted to join the academy? With a bashful look, Taru ran a hand through his hair, he slowly returned his stare over to his newest companion. ”I want… nothing more to impress my momma. To see her… Smile, that smile once again…” Taru continued looking up to Sabrina, the smile on his face growing ever so slightly as he spoke his confession. Was she going to make fun of him now for his dreams? Did he come off as too much of a momma’s boy? Though admittedly, Taru was the very definition of a momma’s boy. But it’s not like he wanted everyone to know that! The last thing he needed was to be picked on because of that.
Taru quickly dismissed the thoughts from his mind, instead choosing to change the subject back to her. He didn’t want to stay on this topic any longer, the thought of his mother both made him happy and upset at the same time. The last thing he wanted was to get all upset in front of his friend! So, releasing a soft breath, Taru’s face relaxed going back to that usual cheery glow as he spoke. ”A-Anyway. What about you Sabrina? What brings you to this school? Are you trying to pursue your passions as well? Ahh… You look like a girl with some big dreams!” Taru spoke, an eager look coming to his face as he awaited a response. He was always up for learning more about his new friend – at least whatever she was willing to tell him about herself that is! Stepping in to the academy, Taru closed the door behind them, feeling the same suspicious feeling from earlier hitting him in the pit of his stomach. Why was he suddenly feeling anxious and wanting to run away? Of course it was in his nature to run when he felt scared… But why did he feel so worried right now? Should he say something to Sabrina and see how she felt?
Grabbing at his suitcases, Taru made his way over to Sabrina, taking the time to stand as close to her as possible, his body trembling slightly as the feeling of dread began to settle in. ”U-Um… Sabrina?” Taru called out to his friend, reaching out with his free hand to gently tug at the other girls shirt. Beads of sweat began to drip down the side of his face as he looked up to his friend. Boy was he thankful to have a friend right about now! ”A-Are you getting a bad feeling too? My animal instinct is telling me I need to run, to get away… There’s danger lurking down these halls.” Taru mumbled, his giant bunny ears popping up on his head as he began to glance around. ”Am I just… over thinking things? Maybe it’s just the first day of school jitters. Y-Yeah, that must be it. There’s no way something bad could happen in a school, right? Hehehe… Hahaha. Yeah, I’m totally just over thinking things. Forget I even said anything! Okay?” With that Taru released his grip on Sabrina’s shirt and took a few steps back from her, the worried look deep within his dark colored orbs, despite the smile on his face. Oh great, here he was getting worried over nothing. Now Sabrina probably thought he was nothing more than a scaredy rabbit. With a sigh, Taru reached out and took hold of his suitcases yet again. Let’s just hope he didn’t ruin his blossoming friendship with Sabrina now!

When he arrived on the scene he spotted two more students who had just arrived. They were getting along at least which was encouraging but they were uncollared which could not be allowed. Surprisingly Yalo wasn't there already to frighten them. He must have been off doing something else, which may have been for the best. He called out across the hall in his strong Scottish accent as he made his way over to his and Phanuell's bags "Oiy, You two." He pointed at them with two of his fingers before motioning for them to come over to him with those same fingers. Picking up his stuff and some of Phan's, not even waiting for them to officially arrive at him, he began to depart. He stopped mid stride, turned back to the others, and with a nod of his head in the direction they were going added "Follow Me." [Exit to: Collar room]
