 The light of the morning rays pierced through Themba's eyelids a bit, forcing him to blearily open them even though he wanted to sleep in. However, he knew he should get up anyway, and so taking a bit to stand up and shake his mane he looked about.
He had taken a nice nap under a tree that was unoccupied when he had found it last night after catching a meal. He was glad that he hadn't been attacked or anything. He hadn't met anyone who would do that yet, however it wasn't unheard of, especially in the rogue lands.
He stretched his legs out and gave a mighty yawn before looking about to see what he should do today. Or at least what he should do before he started to get hungry again!

 Oh how she wished she could see the sunrise as she felt the rays on her face and body. The warmth just sneaking into her and livening her. The night had been colder than usual but it wasn't unheard of out here in the African plains, it was the afternoon that was going to be a killer.
A yawn off to her side startled her. Usually she was more in touch with her surroundings but today she had so many things on her mind. Where she wanted to go and what she wanted to do. She was also feeling a touch lonely.
Turning her head towards the offending yawner she piped up, "Not nice to startle a lioness."

Themba jumped a bit as he wildly looked around before spotting the lioness. She didn’t seem in any hurry to be up and so he sighed in relief. At least she didn’t seem mean. “Sorry I didn’t notice you. Last I knew I fell asleep under this tree by myself.” He replied, grinning a bit.
“But it feels good to yawn once in a while though. Works your jaw muscles a bit in ways that catching prey doesn’t.” He shook a bit, still trying to wake up a bit more. “I’m Themba. And may I ask who you are miss?”

The female chuckled. What a silly male. "You're lucky no one tried to eat you. Or do anything else sinister to you." She felt a smile creep onto her maw as she said this. She wondered if the male was handsome, his voice was at least melodic. "I've never thought of a yawn that way before." Though it did feel mighty fine to yawn when it did come.
"Eryxa." The tawny female replied back. "It is nice to make your acquaintance Themba."

He chuckled a bit with her. Well she at least seemed to have quite the good mood. “Well, I guess I sometimes let my guard down too much, though luckily it hasn’t caused me any trouble yet. And yawns feel quite good, along with stretching too. Great way to wake up in the morning I say. Better than being startled awake by a noise or something.
“Nice to meet you Eryxa. Are you from around here? I’m just wandering around myself for a bit, though I haven’t really met anyone besides you yet.”

A stretch was the best part of waking up. Letting everything relax. The female loved a bit closer to the male. She could smell the tree he was under and decided that it might be good to join him. "Hope you don't mind me joining you under this thing." Milky white eyes glancing in the general direction of the tree before going back to the other. "I am also traveling. Looking for somewhere to call my home that isn't this. I have met only one other besides you in my travels."
The meeting had been nice with the other creature. From his smell she knew he was a lion which made him a bit more akin to her. Glad to meet another lion and glad that he was not trying to attack her or anything else. "What about your Themba?" Curious to know about the lion who had startled her.

“Well, there’s enough room under this tree for the both of us.” He replied, scooting over a bit and sitting down again, enjoying being in another’s company after a long while. He could see her eyes closer now and was quite sure she was blind. He was impressed that she had managed to last this long. It was quite interesting.
“I’ve been traveling for a while, just to go out and see the world mostly. I was separated from my family when I was a juvenile, though we were already all starting to go our separate ways. I haven’t really thought of settling down anywhere yet that I can call home though. Nothing has really stuck out to me yet, so I’ve just been wandering around mostly and surviving on my own. It does get lonely sometimes though. But I know one day I’ll probably find my place. No use worrying about it right?” He replied, smiling to himself as he looked around. Sure, it was tough surviving out here but that’s just the way it was and you just had to deal with it if you didn’t find some pack or pride to live in.
“You have any family?”

She very nearly just let herself plop right next to him but decided against that and slowly set herself down close to him but not too close. She didn't want to seem overly friendly with the male as they had just met and that would probably turn this into an awkward situation. She did not want awkward. "Glad to hear it. I'm sure the tree won't mind us hiding beneath it from the coming rays of the sun." The tawny lioness chuckled.
As she listened to his story it sounded similar to hers. However she had left a bit later than him, spending a tad more time near her parents not quite with them but close enough. Worrying about it... she wished she could stop worrying about it. "I do agree that it gets lonely. Times like this are nice. A quiet meet under a tree." She didn't respond to the worrying though.
"I do. Sisters. Lots of them." So many sisters. "Of course a mother and father but I have not seen my family in a long time."

“Glad we found such a good tree. They’re hard to find, at least ones without a leopard already claiming it.” Themba stretched out again before laying down on his stomach. He smiled at her when she moved closer to him, though was a little sad that she wouldn’t be able to see it.
“I’m glad this was a pleasant meeting for both of us. I find it kind of sad that others feel the need to fight so much with each other. It would be a lot easier out here if we were all able to work together. But, that’s what makes me appreciate quiet moments like this even more, though with all this talking we aren’t being really quiet are we?” He replied, chuckling a little, his mane shaking with him.
“I have a mix of brothers and sisters. It’s hard to remember what they look like though, and I wonder if I would even recognize them at this point considering how early I left them.” He hadn’t left them out of anything bad happening of course, but he would like to meet them again someday. Perhaps some of them had already settled down? He would like to see if he had any nieces or nephews.
“I wish I knew how they were doing, though I can only assume well. None of them were that bad at hunting or anything so I’m sure they’re doing fine. I just hope I can meet again with them someday.” He felt as though he was monopolizing the conversation a bit, making it all about him. “Have you met any of your siblings again yet? I mean after you left them?”

She liked listening to the male talk as she laid there next to them. Was she maybe falling for this male or did she just enjoy his company. She gave the male a grin as she laid her head on her paws.
"If only the world had your ideas on working together. But we are predators and that is the way of our lives." When he talked about his family she was surprised that he seemed to come from a big family as well. "I have six sisters. Maybe one day I will see them all again but I have not seen them in a long time. I am sure my sisters are doing ok, but I do wish to see them again. I have three other sisters who are blind like I am. The other three can see. Unless something happened to them. My mother was blind."
Her mother. She missed her. She was the one who taught her all she knew and she had stuck close to her. She had stuck with her mother for a while, learning all that she could before deciding she wanted to get away.
"Maybe they would remember you." Sometimes parents and sibligns remembered each other, like instincts.

Themba liked the female’s company. Even if she was blind, that didn’t really make her worse in his eyes, it actually made her more interesting, especially in that it was genetic. “Yes, I don’t think we’ll ever really be able to get along. We all have to survive out here and some have learned that they can’t trust anyone. I think the majority of those out here though are good rather than having any malicious intent.”
He smiled a big. “All sisters, I can’t imagine. I mean it was probably fun, but I just can’t imagine having that many sisters.” He chuckled a little bit. He wasn’t making fun of her at all, just a little surprised at the number.
He nodded at her, though he knew she couldn’t see it. “Yes, I think they would remember me, I have no doubt of that, unless something terrible happened to them. I think that makes it a bit harder missing them, though it would be devastating if I had to make them remember me again.” He wanted to know where they had gone, what they were doing! All he had done was manage to survive out here in the rogue lands.

If only the world could be at peace. All she could do was her best and help others. Maybe she had too kind of a heart. She decided to move on from that conversation and go back to family.
"It was tough." She admitted. "Also fun. Kept our parents on their toes." She chuckled a little bit. "My mother can't see me and I can't see her, but she should be able to recognize each other by scent. Or at least I hope so. My father would be able to see me." Her face fell a bit, "I miss them." Then she perked up a bit. "No more sad talk."
That's when her stomach growled out. "Looks like I'm hungry. I should go try and catch something." Standing up she shook the dust from her pelt. "I was just getting really comfortable too."SSBrosB Dunno if you want to end it and maybe do another RP for them? I need my other RPs tagged. -cries-

Themba almost got lost in thought when it came to his family. He could barely remember their faces now. But he was pulled out of his thoughts when Eryxa mentioned food. He could feel his stomach growling too and chuckled a bit at hers. He stretched out again and stood up with her.
“Well, I’d be happy to help you. No point in doing it alone, really. It will be a lot easier with two lions rather than by ourselves.” He said smiling and licking his muzzle a bit at the thought of food. Even if he had to do most of the work he wouldn’t mind, it would be nice to share a meal anyway.DavyJnah Sounds good to me, he needs 3 more completed rps anyway.
