Arseno sighed as he looked around the park that he was currently in. It was too late out for many people to be there, though he really wasn't going for any targets tonight. If he happened to spot someone he thought he could take energy from, fine, but for right now, he was just enjoying the night. He was also glad his outfit covered most of his body, at least mosquitoes could only get to the upper half of his head if they were disparate.

He sighed and looked up at the sky again, his back against the tree he was leaning on as he stood. Sure, it was probably a bad idea to be in his powered form right now, but it was easier to go and grab someone like this rather than having to stalk them a bit and then power up. And of course the mosquitoes.

Lightening bugs were still blinking a bit, and he was glad that the park looked so nice. Really, it was sad that they didn't have more places like this in the city.

In a second though, he felt the familiar aura of a senshi and he was now alert, hopefully ready to meet whoever was nearby, especially if they decided to attack him.

Sorry for taking so long to start this!

Karmi was out for a nightly run. It was the rush she needed after staying in the house for too many nights. Had to be that way though, she had too many close calls and too many problems. But they were still out there and she had to do something... right? She grunted and ran faster, her hair swaying as she went down her usual path.

But not two steps in and she stopped, ducking behind a bush and she felt it. "It's them again..." She acted quickly and powered to Nashira, taking off from where she was. The aura wasn't incredibly close, but it had to be coming from somewhere in the park. "Where?"

She paused nearby, scouting the terrain. Most of the time they were in dark clothing so that made it hard. Well, save for that one neon guy she'd dealt with. Nashira groaned audibly and grabbed her mouth to keep herself from being too loud. Were they there? Did they see her?

Arseno grunted a little as he pushed himself off of the tree and looked around for the senshi whose aura he was feeling. He had hoped to avoid this tonight but he was just unlucky. He decided to stay in the darker shadows as much as he could as he walked around looking for the senshi. Perhaps he would be able to get away before he spotted them?

He went as slowly as he could, following the aura and eventually got as close as he could stand, and found the senshi who seemed to be looking around. She was probably looking for him. Great. He thought as he considered his options. He could try to run, though that probably wouldn’t work and… wait, hadn’t something like this happened before? It was practically a repeat of another situation he had found himself in.

He groaned a little, knowing that a meeting would be inevitable, and decided to show himself to the senshi. He got behind her before finally deciding to speak to her. “I’m sure you’re looking for me, aren’t you?”

Nashira nearly jumped out of her skin and turned, staring at him with her hand poised to slap the hell out of the person who snuck up behind her. Luckily it wasn't who she thought, though she still moved back from him. Though, something was immediately off. Why hadn't he grabbed her?

"Maybe I was." She retorted, hoping that this one wasn't a talker like her last few had been, but her eyes stared back into his, their green hue bright in the dark light. It was a peering gaze though, as if trying to judge him. He wasn't someone she'd seen before, also didn't act like one either. He seemed.... hesitant.

Or was it an act?

"I'm tired of you guys lurking over here. Can't you go somewhere else?"

She was staring back at him, straight into his eyes. Interesting, no one else had done that so far. This senshi was quite brave and he commended her for that in his head. Even he hadn’t stared anyone else in the eyes like she was.

He lifted an eyebrow as she continued to gaze at him when she asked him to move and huffed a bit. “Hey, I was just minding my own business here. You were the one who came and invaded my space. I was just relaxing for a little bit before I felt your aura and I figured you would be able to find me by feeling mine and I decided not to run.” It was true, a meeting would be inevitable if neither of them wanted to back down.

"..." She didn't speak at first, but stared at him again. He was different, that was for sure, he hadn't attacked yet. That was more than she could say for the others she'd fought in the past. While she didn't trust him she at least listened to him. "Yes, but you were out here looking for prey and I am out to stop you. So that does put a damper on our evening, doesn't it?"

Nashira blinked a few times and crossed her arms, staring at him. "Decided not to run?" An eyebrow lifted in curiosity. Odd. She thought to herself. "Still... I think you should just leave then." A small sigh escaped her and she looked back into his eyes. For some reason they didn't give off the same vibe as the others, but she'd still attack if he was adamant about taking energy.

Arseno nodded. “Yes, I’ll admit I was looking for some energy to steal. But so far I haven’t found anyone so you don’t need to worry. You can just go on your way.” It’s not like he could lie to her, she clearly knew what the negaverse did so it was pretty pointless to argue. Well, at least she wasn’t trying to talk him into switching sides so far. He was pretty tired of that lecture.

“Unfortunately I have a quota to meet or else I get beaten so I would rather avoid that outcome which means we might have a problem here.” He would fight if he was forced too. It wasn’t something he particularly liked to do but it was a common outcome of negaverse and senshi meetings it seemed.

"Quota?" The word felt like poison dripping from her lips and her eyebrow twitched, eyes narrowing slowly. She seemed to miss the part about beatings, but moved closer to glare at him more. "Is that all they are to you? Is that all you see?!" Nashira gritted her teeth after she yelled at him. Little patience existed in her for people who were so flippant with others' lives. This wasn't something she could talk him out of though, that wasn't her place. But if she got worked up well...

It was a quick, fast and precise slap to his face with her hand, the noise of the skin crashing against partial face and mask was louder than the pain she gave, but her eyes never moved from his as she did it.

...that was what happened when she got worked up.

Pulling her hands into fists she stared back at him, but the time for talking was done. Maybe she couldn't really punch him, or tackle him, but she'd be damned if she was going to let another one slip away so easily. Not this time.

Once again, no point in arguing about it. These senshi never seemed to see it from his point of view, but then again, most of them didn’t know he was forced into this position. It was either obey the negaverse or get beaten. Worse if you decided you didn’t want to do what the negaverse wanted you to do. He doubted that those who refused to obey stayed alive too much longer.

Arseno just saw the slap coming and didn’t move. It didn’t seem to be some signature move of hers so it probably wouldn’t hurt that much. And she seemed to need to get it out anyway. Afterwards, he felt the sting but it didn’t bother him. He could have stopped her, but had decided not to.

He sighed a bit louder this time. This was going to turn into a battle. “Well no, I don’t think of people as just energy to drain, but you don’t care do you. You don’t know what my backstory is and I doubt you care.” He ran quickly behind her. “And I won’t let you slap me like that again.” He moved away from her, wanting to make sure there was some space in-between them.

After she made contact she had wondered if he was going to dodge it at all. He didn't, and for a moment they stood in silence before he sighed and moved, her eyes following him and she turned back to stare at them. "I don't, but I do know that everyone has a choice." She muttered it, staring back and nodded, but it was all she said on the matter.

Instead she was concentrating, trying to remember her move. She was still green, new at this entire business of fighting enemies, and in previous encounters a move from the other had thwarted hers. But Negaverse agents were like the Dark Mirror Senshi she had encountered. They didn't have moves the same way, and this one didn't seem like he was particularly dangerous. For now, she just wanted him off the street.

"You won't have to." She said again, moving her hands forward. "Destiny Strings!" As she spoke, red strings moved outward from her hands, moving towards Arseno with speed in an attempt to catch him, to tie him to a solitary spot. If it made contact, that is.

SSBrosB
So her attack ties herself to him, so he wouldn't be able to move but it doesn't stay tight for very long, so she might end up tied to him xD You can choose if it hits him or not, it doesn't work well on moving targets. o wob

Arseno couldn’t hear what she had said, but he didn’t have super hearing after all. But it did look like she was a bit distracted, probably thinking about something else. He realized that she was preparing for an attack. It seemed to take her a bit longer than previous senshi he had encountered though. She was probably quite new to being a senshi still.

He was kind of jealous. At least senshi’s seemed to have some sort of attack, even at the lowest levels. Most negaverse agents had weapons that were more likely to end up in a dumpster than be of any use to them in a battle. Why did they even have them? Did the negaverse want them to fail?

He realized she had shouted her attack and quickly and he managed to dodge it just in time, though he was surprised at how close they had come to catching him. With a move named “Destiny Strings” he wondered what the heck they would do if they caught him. He moved again, this time grabbing for her arm in an attempt to stop her from being able to use her magic again.

He was faster than she gave him credit for and watched as he moved. Must be an athlete... That was going to be problem. Some of the others she had run into weren't as quick, but this guy wasn't like them. When he started to reach for her arm she twisted, kicking at him. Maybe her arms weren't as strong, but her legs sure were. Running did have the advantages.

But again, he was quick. She missed but did manage to twist away from him and moved back. Maybe her move wouldn't work on him, but she could do something... Anything to get him out of commission, at least for a little while.

"It's not going to be that easy!" She said, rushing back at him again, getting close enough to palm strike. Though, they were weak and shallow. This sort of fighting wasn't what she was meant to do. Yet there wasn't any other choice now.

Arseno missed grabbing her, the girl was quite quick herself. He would have to be careful. He managed to dodge her kick that had been aimed at him and they got away a bit from each other. But he was sure she would continue to attack him, either until he left, or either of them were out of commission.

He summoned his weapon, only so that he could possibly use it as something small to strike with rather than landing powerful attacks. While he was doing so, he missed the senshi coming at him with her palm.

For a split second she saw the summoning and moved to defend, but stared at it happened to be a cane. The heck? She wasn't really sure what to make of it and turning, hitting him with her palm again. This time she made contact, but it didn't do much. Nashira hadn't much experience with fights, nor had she managed to find someone to fight with, considering that her attack only held someone in place. On her own she hadn't faired well.

And this fight was starting to be no exception to that rule and she jumped back from him again, trying to decide what to do. She could try again, but he already had moved away from her once when she tried, wouldn't he just do it again? If they didn't work it out soon some night patrolmen might happen across them, or another enemy.

She decided to try a tactic that had worked against the Dark Mirror Senshi before and ran at the guy, ready to tackle him down. Maybe it would work?

Aresno felt some pain from the attack, but it felt more like the slap she had already given him. Sharp but not enough to distract. Before he could reach out and attack her she had managed to jump back. He wondered what she was going to do but realized she was charging him.

The only thing he could try to do was dodge her and then push her from behind, hopefully making it so that she would trip or fall down from the forced. His cane would be the best bet against a full charge and so he would just hold onto it for right now. He kept his eyes on her too, just in case she did something different or managed to beat him at being so speedy.
