After weeks of painstaking work, her latest project was done. It was bigger than the rest of them, almost the size of a Kidden at this point. It's four wheels and rectangular shape were very basic, but you needed to start somewhere. She removed her goggles and gave it a once over, closing the hatch on top and smiled. "All there's left to do is to turn it on!" She was quite excited and ready to get this thing moving.

The remote had just a few buttons to relay the necessary instructions, and with a quick flip of the switch it was ready to go. But within seconds in all went downhill, the small machine whirred loudly and careen down the halls of the dorms. "No, no, no! Come back!" She knew it was a bad idea to test this prototype in the halls and as it zoomed out of sight, she couldn't help but regret it to the fullest. She just hoped it would short circuit and stop before it crashed or ran into someone.

The small machine was starting to smoke a bit at this point. It was easy to follow it's trail that way. "Please please please shut off!" She pressed the buttons down on her remote furiously, hoping that it would receive the signal and just shut off. Luckily for her, the machine gave off a small spark before slowing down. She was still far behind it as it began to roll to a halt against a wall. She was worried that the thing was out of her site, but so far it didn't seem like it hurt anyone or that really anyone noticed this thing while it careened down the halls. Orea huffed, slowing to more of a pathetic jog, breathing heavily. "Windows..." She breathed out as she stopped. "I have to open the windows." She began opening windows on her way to her creation so that the little smoke it had produced with soon disperse.

Once the windows were open she was able to start to really inspect her machine. "This damn thing..." She turned to the other who was trying to help her and asking questions. "It's nothing, really. Just some crossed wires or something." She wasn't quiet sure what had happened to it, but she would find out. "I'm fine... I just need to get this looked at." She was getting a little annoyed by the other. She didn't want anyone to see her failure. "It's just a silly prototype and honestly.... Needs improvement." That was an understatement. It really needed to be worked on. "But where to start?" She mumbled out loud, looking over the poor thing.

Orea was getting uncomfortable. She wished she had chosen a different part of the school to test it in. Even if it was just in her room, as long as no one could see it. But now, there was this kid here trying to help. What did he know? Would they judge her on this failure? Her imp ears laid low and pushed back as she grabbed a wrench connected to her belt. "This was my first time juicing it up with magic. I think..." The looked over the robot, smoke dispersed from the room, "I think I gave it too much and shorted it? It wasn't supposed to be nearly this fast or even go this far. I was just trying out a new walking mechanism." She unscrewed the back of the robot relieving a charred inside. She sighed, it would be easier to use this for scrap and build another one at this point.

Orea quickly noticed the other's change in disposition. She was so bad around others. She held onto her robot for a second longer before speaking."I'm sorry... I just..." She shut the machine and sighed. "It's better to start with your best foot forward. And this..." She gestured to the machine, "Is not my best 'foot'... I'm Orea. You seem to kinda know about this sorta stuff... Wanna help me get this back and we can figure out?" Maybe he was good with combining magic with technology.... As long as she can avoid as many mistakes as possible, that's what she wanted.
