She had met with that blue lion a few days before and decided after some wandering to actually head in the direction he had stated. To the coastline, to his pride. It sounded like maybe it could be interesting enough for her. Hopefully a place where her pelt would be acceptable. Since his was blue she was sure she would be. She had met a few interesting characters in her last travels and only one other had been an interesting encounter. One in which she had been insulted and fought back.

The fight had been good. She had enjoyed the act of her claws digging into something very much. Today she wondered what trouble she could get into before reaching her destination. It wasn't too far now right? Maybe half a day? Though in this heat it could take longer since she needed a small rest.

It'd been awhile since he'd ventured out aviking. It's a good day to die, he thought pleased with himself. The band had managed a good haul. Enough to make everyone happy. They were swinging back around and heading home. Calder could already imagine himself counting his treasures before hiding it away. Sadly, he didn't have a paw in helping to capture the couple of thralls they'd found, so he couldn't claim one for himself. He consoled himself that he had thralls waiting for him at home.

Now that they were so close to home, they were spreading out a bit. Vigilance was still maintained on the new thralls being forced back, but since he didn't have one, Calder felt he didn't need to help with them. As such he'd drifted a bit further away from the rest. So it was he who saw the green female. She didn't look familiar to him. With a burst of speed he moved to catch up. "Halt! Who are you?" If she wasn't part of the pride, he was going to capture her for himself!

As the male began to run up to her the female bristled immediately. A yowl rising in her throat as she jumped to turn her body to him. "None of your business." She snarled out at the male. Although taking a better look at him, his green pelt actually so close to hers that it made her somewhat giddy. However she kept herself focused on the male. She didn't know what his intentions were and well she needed to stay on her toes. She had already had a run in with a male who had insulted her. Was this male also going to try that? If so, she'd show him just how well she could use her fangs and claws against him. Pretty face or not she'd mark it up if she had to.

He smirked confidently as she started to bristle. Calder had a hunch she didn't know she was trespassing on Stormborn territory, which made her fair game to be a thrall. What would the band think when he showed up with beauty subdued and at his heels? "It is my business since your my thrall now!" He gloated and puffed himself up.

"You might as well give it up now!" The green male approached her with intent to herd her in the direction he wanted her to go. He admired her delicate green colors. Finally a proper salt wife for him! All he had to do was teach her some manors and bring her back.

She was his what? That sounded like a claim on her and that... that she was not going to have. Maybe if it was mutual but it definitely was not mutual right now. She was pissed to say the least. Every fiber in her body said to just tear this arrogant male apart. But she needed to read him first, understand what made this male tick.

That was when he said she should give up. Give up? Not unless she was about to be killed would she give up. Her spirit wouldn't allow her to do that. Curare lunged at him. Not even caring what might happen next. All she could see was red as the female went to slash at his eyes. Words were not going to come, not in the rage she was in.

She didn't bow down to him immediately, which he liked. A female with spirit! He'd have to tame her down a bit it seemed. Calder thought this would be a fun time. He hadn't expected anything so lively so close to home.

The green male was just waiting for her to make her move. When she lunged he was ready. Maybe he'd tried to provoke her on purpose, quite possible. It'd help him determine what kind of personality she had. So far, it was feisty. He ducked under her lunge, to protect his eyes and let her claws get hooked in his mane as he have her a good head bump.

That was not what she expected as her claws got hooked in his mane. Was he grinning through this whole thing? Did he enjoy a fight as much as she did? That caused an insane grin to spread on her face as she pulled her claws from him, trying to then drag them across his back. An admiral opponent in her eyes. She still didn't know what to completely think about him. It was still yet to be seen but she still didn't want to be a thrall. It didn't sound very.... fierce. She wanted to be fierce.

Despite being momentarily dizzy from that head bump she was still raring to go. It was that rage that was blinding her that kept her on her toes. A rage that boiled down deep in the pits of her stomach that made her icy heart pound with anticipation.

A roar and she tried to tear off his face again.

With his first awesome attack, he foiled hers and expected her to back down and come along nicely. Nope. Instead she seemed to get worse! Calder was confused. He'd proved his power, so why didn't she submit? Maybe she just needed a bit more. Well he was up to the challenge! He reeeeeeally wanted this thrall!

Calder growled as the claws raked his back. Not bad, but they'd be impressive for awhile. He roared and charged her, both paws swinging. If she wanted a brawl then she could have one. He only hoped his band didn't hear the sounds and come looking to see what was going on. His own flailing paws, tangled with hers was the only thing that saved his pretty face. "You shoulda had iron in your blood!"

She was focused and angry. Claws clashing with his he had managed to get a few cuts in. Iron in her blood? She scoffed at him not really caring about that anymore. She was tangled up with him and she pushed off him to break away. She needed to get a better angle on him somehow. But how could she? She wasn't too much smaller than him, but still his size was something she needed to take into consideration even in her fury.

Backing up she shook to clear her head. Focus. Take in her adversary. This time she went in low. Trying to get up under him, slash at his belly or his throat. There was a lot of mane on his neck but hopefully she wouldn't get to hurt. If she did... she'd have to retreat. Lick her wounds and recoup for a moment.

Calder was definitely getting into the swing of it now. How he loved being a reaver! They broke apart and he laughed. What a feisty female! She didn't appear the least bit discouraged yet. That was problematic to his cause though. "C'mon now. Don't you want a nice den and a good master to serve? You're babies will be well taken care of turned into strong reavers. Like me. Name's Calder, what's yours babe?"

Feeling like he had the upper paw, Calder pressed in. He didn't really want to injure her too much, but he had to teach her who was going to be boss here. The green male barely scooted to the side to avoid her attack on his belly. Hey now! He was only trying to provide for her! Annoyed now and thinking less about preserving her pretty pelt, he slashed at her sides and chest. His fangs bared lest she present her pert bottom so he could bite it.

Eugh. Gross. She snarled at him as he side stepped her attack. No. She needed to retreat now as she felt the others claws rake against her. It stung badly but she could tell that it was not lethal. Yes. Retreat. As much as she hated doing so she needed to live and not be taken by this male. If she wanted him she'd go on her own terms forcing him to see her as an equal, not anything else.

Dirt and sand was around them. Enough so she could blind him. So she kicked it up at his face, making sure to get enough things thrown at him before she swiped at his face to dig in the debris a bit more. Satisfied that he was going to be blinded by that she turned tail. She was not proud. She'd get back towards this pride and fight her way in so she could have a rematch with him. Maybe she'd break his pride too.

The green male snickered at her reaction. Again he advanced. Only this time he found his eyes blinded by dirt and sand. How dare she fight dirty! In more ways than one. Calder roared annoyed as he shook his head to clear his eyes. He felt her claws across his face and pulled back. He heard the sounds of her pawsteps and expected to feel her claws and fangs tearing into his skin. The expected pain never came.

When he finally got his eyes cleared enough to open them there was no trace of the green lioness. Calder spat in disgust. She'd regret her choice sooner or later. He turned to rejoin his band. With any luck, they wouldn't notice his fresh scratches.
