It was astounding what a little makeover did for your confidence. Not that Centisima was ever really lacking in confidence, but there had been that dark patch where he’d been forced to sit back and consider life, death and the universe. But thanks to the weird talking cat, he was back on track and ready strike fear into the hearts of the enemy. Except not tonight. Because tonight was picnic night at the park. Centisima had even found two deckchairs and put them out beside the KFC chicken bucket that was still steaming hot and ready to be consumed. It was a nice night for it. Mild with a clear sky full of stars. It was going to be a two person celebration of his fantastic new look. He lounged back in one of the chairs and waited.

Admittedly, Sedna was having mixed feelings. Oh. Not about Centisima getting a new look. No. That was great! Much awesomes. She shipped it hard. Centisima x Promotion. Good ship. Would ship again 10 out of 10. She was having mixed feelings about...'hanging out'...while powered up. Like...patrolling was one thing, but celebrating while powered? Hrm. Admittedly, she was also just used to patrolling and training with Beringia so much with his 'we don this magical burden to serve piping cold hard justice to all those who do wrong' thing (and he would never ever utter those words out loud, but that was definitely the feeling she got), that she couldn't exactly fathom what Centisima was proposing. He was one of her besties though, and it didn't take much to twist her arm. The senshi of Ships arrived at the spot he indicated, and it didn't take long to pick up the super level signature. Sedna made a bee line for him, and once she got a good look at him, she let out a loud and appreciative whistle. "Wooooooooooah!" She breathed, giving him a wide grin as her hands rested on her hips. "Holy cannoli! Check out those new threads! You're really rocking it out now! Congratulations!"

Centisima felt her coming and made sure he was stretched out so she could get a look at all of him, one arm hooked lazily behind his head. Her reaction and approval was just as he’d hoped, his lips curling up in a grin. “Yeah. It’s pretty neat,” he replied, attempting to sound flippant but really just too excited to make it work. "I mean," he waggled his stretched out feet, "have you gotten a good look at these boots? They are hardcore. I am just all kinds of awesome right now." He sat up, waved at the chair next to him. "Your throne, my queen. Your feast awaits." It probably was a terrible idea to have happy hang out time at the park while powered but Centisima would argue that they were definitely patrolling, just in one place. They were ‘camping’ and if an enemy spawned nearby, they’d finish it. Though in reality, he really just wanted her to stare at his awesome new getup for a while. Lessons Learned While A Basic Senshi: 0 "I’ve got chicken, chips, that smashed potato and gravy stuff and a big bottle of Mountain Dew."

Sedna snorted with amusement. "Oh, just pretty neat, he says." She laughed, her grin shifting into a fox eyed one as her eyes slid closed from merriment. They popped right back open though, curious. "Oh?" She came closer, and leaned over said boots, blinking. "Woah! Whaaaaaaaat! Look at all those shiny bits!" Sedna then couldn't help but stare at her own boots---which admittedly hadn't changed in appearance since her first stage---but her coat certainly had. She assured herself with the fact she had shoulder tassels, and reached up to fluff some of the bits on her shoulder. "Woah, Centi----you know how to treat a lady right!" She wouldn't lie though--- it was awesome to be treated to food. The senshi took a seat next to him, blinking at the array she had to choose from. "...Seriously." She stared at him, her eyes a bit wide. "How do you not have a girlfriend? It's a college girl's dream right here." She waved a hand over the array of food, but was polite, and wanted to wait until he helped himself first. "So when did you get a boost, huh? Had you been training a lot prior to it happening? Details man, details!"

The shiny bits, yeah, he’d definitely increased in shiny bits and it felt good. Centisima had stopped trying to look at all cool about the situation and was now simply grinning from ear to ear. Yesterday he might have gone to the clothing store and powered up in the changing rooms just to stand there and check himself out. "Damn right, I do." He leaned over to grab the food, laying out the various containers and handing her the paper plate he’d remembered to bring. "Oh, you flatterer. I know I’m a prize catch but I like to keep my options open. It’d be a sin to restrict me to just one girl." Centisima loaded his own plate with three pieces of chicken, a pile of potato and a handful of chips before flopping back in his chair. "Couple'a days. I dunno, I guess I’d gotten into a few battles or whatever before that. I was just out patrolling, ran across a cat, he was all like ‘hey want a power up?’ and bada bing bada boom, my awesomeness has increased by 300%." He shoved four chips in his mouth. Lucyal haha when she fluffs her shoulder tassels, so cute xD

The senshi giggled at that. "Going to live the rock star life forever, huh?" She was still feeling incredibly self-conscious about this. Having an evening picnic in the park as senshi---after all, two super signatures were sure to draw attention...if anyone happened to be passing nearby. She was helping herself to some food, when the sudden thought of Generals and Captains who could instantly teleport chilled her. Sedna paused, a drum stick in the air, and took a cautious look around. Hnnnngh--- Definitely had a lot of Beringia's boot camp rubbing off on her. It was hard not to be a bit more causal though---not with Centisima there and his confident attitude. She resumed making her own plate, and then sat back in her own chair as well---not too comfy though. Just in case she suddenly needed to be on her feet. "Ahh! I see!" She took a bite of chicken, let out an appreciative hum at the deliciousness, and then swallowed. "Oh, thank you for this, by the way!" She saluted him with a drumstick. "This is great---shouldn't I be the one treating you though?" Sedna frowned, her brows knitting. "Since you're the one celebrating?" Hm. "That's how it was for me too, though---well---yeah. Some battles---" She grimaced, recalling that awful one with the one lieutenant in black and red. "And then Nico and I visited my planet for the first time---and he gave me my upgrade there!" Ruriska Fluffing them reassures herself that she's got a cool outfit too. Not as cool as Centi anymore, but still cool ; D

“At least for now. I’m sure some day I’ll meet the rich heir to a family fortune who is lonely and desperately in love with me.” Jokes aside, it was hard to imagine even being in a relationship when being a free and easy senshi was so much more interesting. The last time he’d been in a serious relationship had been when he was fourteen. It had lasted six months. A great feat for a young highshooler. He dunked another chip in the gravy and then rolled it up in the crispy skin he peeled off the chicken. "You’re welcome. You’re one my favourite people I know and I will happily buy you fried chicken any day of the week."” He ate his special chip, wiped a stray bit of gravy of his chin with his thumb and licked it. “You can shout me something next time.” He bit into the chicken finally as she talked about her own experience, his head bobbing. "Mm, yeah, planet, hey," he mumbled around a full mouth. He waited a moment to swallow and continued. "Speaking of, we should do that. Mine, yours, I don’t care. It sounds awesome." Lucyal it's plenty cool, i mean, that hat is the bees knees! (centi still says it's okay sedna second-place cool next to me 'aint bad)

"Um---" She stared off into space for a moment, squinting. "...If she's lonely...does that make her desperate?" She then stared at the other, her eyes going wide, and laughed, teasing him. "Think you might be better off with another senshi though? That's something I've been thinking about!" Sedna paused, and then let out an 'awwwwwwwwwwwww'. She smiled widely at him, and wiggled in her seat. She was one of his favorite people! "Alright! You got it!" Likewise, she munched on her food a bit more, tilting her head towards him as he spoke. "Ah!" She sat up a bit straighter in her chair. "Wait---you haven't done it yet?" Her mouth opened a bit more in surprise. "Oh, wowzers, yeah! We should! If you wanna do it soon---it'd have to be your's---and you should, anyways, especially because you haven't been! I'm on cool down from mine---you can't go all the time, yeah? Like, it needs to recharge---or maybe you need to recharge! I went to mine, yeah? Then I had to wait a few weeks before I could go again!" Ruriska Oh yeah, she's totally hard to beat in the hat department fjwklefjklwe <3

"Probably." Centisima laughed. "You know, you’re probably right though. It’d be harder to date someone who was normal. I mean, you’ve got this big secret, you’re always in danger, you’re out late at night. That type of s**t is usually pretty bad for relationships with or without magic." Not that he was planning on looking for a senshi to date but it was interesting to think about. "I wasn’t going to go without you," he told her, while nibbling on a bone. "It wouldn’t be any fun without a playmate." He grinned. "We’ll go tonight." Not time like the present! "After we eat. How about it?" Then they could find out if his planet was covered in centipedes are not.

Sedna bobbed her head in agreement with that. True facts! Senshi...or knights... Tee hee. Her cheeks flared a bit red before she snapped back to the conversation, and blinked in surprise. "...Oh! Right after, huh? Well---" She paused for a moment. "Alright! Yeah, just, you also got to be mindful of the time, yeah? I usually go like....first thing in the morning...but yeah! Let's go! I'd love to see your space rock!" She grinned, and at that point, started to eat her food faster in anticipation.

"Yeah, sure, sure. It’ll be fine." It better be damn cool up there. Centisima balanced his plate on his lap and leaned over to scoop up the drink, pouring two cups and giving one to Sedna. "Okay but first, since we’re on the topic and we’ve already discussed my lack of love life, well except for this chick at this party on Saturday but that hardly requires details... how about you?" Because it had occurred to him, once he’d stopped thinking about himself, that Sedna was quite the catch and he was pretty damn sure he’d just seen her blush. "Got anyone you fancy?" He grinned, sharklike, scenting for blood in the water.

Sedna took the offered cup with thanks, but soon was blushing a nice red to compliment the neon green liquid, because yeah. She was utterly curious, so she never shied away from Centisima's um... relationship details...but because she knew what his idea of a relationship was...yeah. It made her blush... Then she just blushed more though, and looked like a deer caught in the headlights. Worse--- caught in the jaws of a predator. Then it had occurred to her that he was one of the few people who didn't know that she had a raging crush on someone---and maybe for a good reason. Some innate preservation instinct to save her from the sharklike-ness of Centisima. "Um---" Her voice was high pitched, and she realized she had taken too long to answer, thus pretty much condemning her soul.

Bingo. If he was a shark, then she was a wounded seal drifting aimlessly in the waves, ready to be snatched up. The grin widened. "Because," he began as he shifted his chair closer to hers and leaned in, one hand hovering as if expecting her to bolt and was ready to stop her escape, "if you did. That would definitely be something your senshi bestie would like to know about. It’s only fair."

It was somehow possible that Sedna turned more red, and while she made no motion to bolt, it was because she was more likely to melt into an embarrassed puddle anyways. She looked away from him, though. "Um." She stared at nothing in particular. " Ummmm---" Her voice got a bit high pitched, and geeze, twist her arm, why don't you, Centi! Oh, but he was. Not that she needed it twisted, because he was right...and she should, and was going to tell him anyways. "Um." She cleared her throat a bit. "So---yanno how I can only meet up with you---only like a specific three days out of the week at night to go patrolling? Well---that's because the other four day I'm training and patrolling with---um---a knight---" Butterflies riled her stomach, and despite the fact they had this arrangement for quite a few months now, the fact that she got to see him so much still made her giddy. "Beringia. That's his name---actually, he's the older brother of my senshi friend I told you about---Methone---we were penpals in high school and she showed me pictures of all her brothers and wrote about them so I've been crushing on him for five-ever and--- yeah." Once she rambled, she went for it. Her face was thoroughly red. Almost matched her coat.

As she spoke, he felt his gut twist and Centisima realized, with no surprise, that he was jealous. It wasn’t that he wanted Sedna to have crush on him, quite the opposite actually; no, it the knowledge that there was someone else who had a larger claim on her than he did. The knowledge that yes, Sedna had friends other than him, patrolled with people other than him, spent time with some guy he’d never met or heard of and clearly enamoured by the guy. He kept the hard jealous knot in his belly and off his face, instead leaning back in his chair with a toothy grin. "Fascinating," he purred, linking his hands together, elbows on the armrests and clearly about to give her the third degree. "Beringia. We’ll have to organize a meeting." To see whether this knight was worthy or not. Centisima had never been above warning troublemakers away from his friends. "But first, since you patrol with him four nights a week, have you made a move yet? I’m going to presume no."
