OKAY SO Flock mares meeting Non-Flock stallions and not taking them in: Frequently its a case of the mare having a stint, and then going "oh s**t I have symptoms of pregnancy after that -- SLEEP WITH EVERY STALLION THAT LOOKS EVEN SLIGHTLY LIKE THEM TRAIT WISE" (Since they dont have an understanding that individual babies cant be born as a blend -- they know that Two is the standard but they assume its possible for an individual child to have three or more biological parents since it IS possible for individual children to be basketmates and take after different fathers, THAT or they talk about a strange trancelike experience and spirits and s**t and either they got put together by spirits or they slept with a spirit, which tends to be okayed by the religion. That or Doppelbreedings where canonly they dont meet up and they instead bred with a similar genetic background stallion in the flock, or the stallion bred with a mare not of the flock with a similar genetic background.
FOR MALES To meet mares, either Doppelbreedings, or the mare is a temporary guest of the flock (Such as having been injured by an attack of a wild animal/skinwalker/evil spirited soquili or familiar within/near the flocks territory and recovering inside the flock) And either leaves before ANYONE realizes they are pregnant... Or is seen as Stealing from the flock if they leave while pregnant.. OR Stick around in the flock until the kids reach their third year and are about to enter the adulthood ceremony, and are given the option to either stay in their homeland of the flock with all their friends and the culture they were raised in, or leave with their mother -- If they leave with mom, they dont do the ceremony officially adopting them as adults in the Flock, If they stay, they get adopted in officially.
A mare can stay temporarily with the flock as like.. an attempted recruit and then go "I cant do this -- I miss my homeland too much" And leave on good terms and understand the four year restriction for reentry... UNLESS She leaves, realizes she's pregnant, and returns -- at which point she's allowed early reentry and seen as even more trustworthy because she followed their cultural norms.

OH There's also an option of a flockborn stallion being escorted by a mare to the ancestral lands and the mare in question ends up befriending the two of them
And the two Flock members decide to just.. Let it be a secret between the three of them.
The outsider mare and the stallion are attracted to each other and the Flock Mare is hoping to perhaps convince her new friend to join the flock or at least remain an outside and secret connection and the three barter a roll in the hay

(That or an evil mare in this situation manages to catch the stallion when he's behaving and waiting at the camp for the mare to return from a hunting trip and catches him off guard and forces him into it)
(or tricks the duo into trusting her alone and then convince the stallion to go with her "She told me she wanted us to catch up with her" and trick him.)
