Altair sat cross-legged in a quieter area of the playground, watching their classmates flit excitedly from one piece of equipment to the other, watched intently by the caretakers.Benefits of quietly flipping through a book instead of running around, shrieking loudly? The caretakers were usually satisfied by a brief glance in your direction as opposed to hovering near you.The issue wasn't with the caretakers but with the bevy of other kids that flocked to them, making all sorts of noise. Altair sighed contently, happy with the muted volume level in their vicinity, and turned another page of the book. It was one of their favorites, full of pictures of different beasts that lived Below and Above, and one they read through many times; so many times that the normally thrilling images weren't quite holding their attention as they usually did. Altair glanced around between flipping pages and look at their surroundings briefly.C-C-CaFFIENE I hope that's ok. This is the first I'm rping in over 5 years. Also, if the color is annoying I'll change it.

Skylar had finished his school studies and with a happy sigh he closed his books. What was he to do now, though? His school work was done, his dorm had been neatly tidied up, all of his clothes were expertly folded and methodically placed in the correct drawers. Perhaps he could reread one of the books he recently finished to make sure nothing slipped his mind. Skylar went to grab a book from the shelf when he faintly heard the hooting and hollering of other children outside.
The book would have to wait. Skylar grabbed his notebook that he used to catalog the behavior of others and a pen before making his way outside. Within minutes he found a secluded spot where he could sit down and make notes about the other children. Many were loud and they moved around as though they weren't thinking about their actions. Then there was the one off to the side with a book, this piqued Skylar's interest. He slowly approached the other, not wanting to alert them to his presence just yet. As he got closer he leaned in, "What book are you reading? Is it for research?"
