Touch all The Things: Ever see something and wonder, what does that feel like? A flower petal, tree bark, a cactus? Whatever the hell those gel beads are made out of. He will, randomly, subtly, touch things that look interesting to touch. If its something he likes, he'll look into it, maybe even do a bit of research on the item. Some of his favorite places are fabric and plush stores, because he want's to know if he can take that thing and get it in blanket form. He very much likes to understand the world around him; physically mentally. He's very tactile in nature.
Cataloguing: Mier very much enjoys making lists of things he enjoys. Even if it's a momentary obsession. He comes across a T.V show, finds a new favorite actor, and immediately obsesses. Two weeks later he's had his fill. Once he's over it and all that random knowledge goes right out the window, but for those two weeks you can bet it was all he talked about, read about, watched youtube clips with funny quotes about...
Recipe Collector: Who doesn't love collecting delicious recipes! Mostly its deserts and fruit dishes. He's s**t for cooking, but loves baking because it's so simple. The perk being that it also involves a lot of his favorite foods. Who doesn't want to be able to make their own peach cobbler from scratch? Or a nice fruit smoothie!
Virtues:
Hands On: Mier is very tactile. He prefers doing to being shown. Trying it himself before having it explained to him. Mier tends to throw himself completely into whatever his desire or obsession of the moment is. Even if he makes a mess of multitasking. He can’t help but try to get elbow deep into every thing that sparks his passions.
Diligent: Mier is tenacious, has a mind for detail, and is willing to put his all into things he enjoys. He's happy to do extra work, even if it's unnecessary; because he loves having things to do! The longer he can make the list of things, the more detail he can add to it, often ties into how good he feels about doing the work in question.
Sweet: Like the syrup at the bottom of cherry coke or a powdered sugar doughnut. Mier is sweet, benevolent, charitable! Is it genuine? Who cares!! He walks old ladies across the street, holds open doors for people, donates his used stuff to the needy, and greets everyone with a wave and a smile. He ascribes to the ‘if it brings you joy’ philosophy. I’m sure there’s motivational posters with excessively sad eyed animals on his wall dedicated to ‘hanging in there’ - and bold font overly wise quotes by dead famous people.
Flaws:
Impatient: It's painful for him to wait for other people. Especially for them to catch up. He tends to look at things, and rather than wait for a solution to come to light, for discussion, he dives right in. He'd rather try everything that could possibly work, and use whatever sticks. Feeling it's better to go through a long string off trial and error, even when it would be easier to slow it down a notch and think things through first. Mier hates being inactive, mentally, physically, he needsto be kept busy doing something.
A Hot Mess: Mier often has so many ideas, so many tasks in any given day to complete, that he often looks like a spazz in his attempts to do them all. He has poor ability to focus on one thing at a time, and often becomes flustered when everything won't fall into place at once. He looks at something and wants it done yesterday. Looks at a group of things and gets the idea in his head that 'They have similar components, I can work on all of them together in separate bits and pieces.' This tends to make things far more complicated and messy than they need to be, even if they do eventually get done. In his attempt to make things easier, he ends up making it harder on himself.
Smarmy: See that smile? It's fake as s**t. Mier can be a complete and utter kiss-a**. Ingratiating to the max, so long as it benefits him and the image he's creating for himself. He can stand to be as nice as he is because he often has ulterior motives behind his actions. Loaning someone a dollar and then later guilting them for an increased return. Keeping a nice long tally of every favor he's ever done, just in case he can bring it up later. The epitome of a ‘humble braggart’..
