In the back of the festival area, two large dirt tracks run several feet in a straight line across a field. This is where the Rapidash races and jousting tournaments are held. For the jousting field, there are stands for the audience to sit in on either side of the arena and cheer on their favored jouster. A large wooden rail is set up in the center of the dirt track to separate the two tracks where each jouster will charge. Around the arena, there are some stands set up, selling merchandise, guild flags, brochures, and information pamphlets on the participants, such as their coat of arms, name, and jousting history.
For the racetrack, there are seven wooded gates, one for each numbered Rapidash, painted in their blinker colors and labeled with their names. There are some fence posts set up between the stands and the racetrack itself. The races are held here, but there are stands set up all over the fair to allow fairgoers to place bets on the race, this way those who wish to participate but can't go view the race can still gamble on the winning Rapidash. For those who wish to watch the race, wooden bleachers are set up so that audiences can sit and enjoy the show.
The Racers:
Number One: Name: Cupid Gender: Male Colors: ███ Hot Pink Description: A strong looking stallion, would probably have higher odds of winning if he would just stop flirting with the female competitors during the race...
Number Two Name: Riley Gender: Female Colors: ███ Cyan Description: A spunky, headstrong mare, and crowd favorite. One of the few female racers, she has a strong rivalry with Rarity that can either trip her up, or push her to win.
Number Three Name: Ash Gender: Male Colors: ███ Grey Description: The oldest racer in the group, but also the most reliable to get a decent placement, if he doesn't win all together. Ash is the safe bet, since he has more experience with racing than any of these other young upstarts.
Number Four Name: Copper Gender: Male Colors: ███ Forest Green Description: Has a shiny coat and a pretty boy look. Was probably bred more for beauty contests, but is not to be underestimated.
Number Five Name: Butch Gender: Male Colors: ███ Crimson Description: He's staring you down.... o -o;;;
Number Six Name: Rarity Gender: Female Colors: ███ Royal Blue Description: She gains a lot of attention because of her colors, and can usually be seen prancing up to the starting gate before the race. She has a haughty attitude towards the other female competitor, Riley. Don't let her princess complex fool you though, on the racetrack, she's more than willing to get her hooves dirty if it means winning.
Number Seven: Name: Hermes Gender: Male Colors: ███ Gold Description: Hermes is the youngest racer of the bunch, but also one of the fastest. He holds the record for running through the track, but he's also considerably smaller than the other competitors, so he can get a bit pushed around by the other racers, which slows him down. If he can get out front early though, he's almost guaranteed to win.
The Games These are the games available at the fair, but remember, you can only play each one once a day, and you can only play two games in a single post!

Luckily, Lafayette found his pokemon along the way as he moved between the areas. Noah had taken to trying to shatter platters again, only managing to strike one of them in the process. Eve was trying to do the crossbow game by herself and scored a decent amount of tokens in the process. The blonde had to chuckle at the antics of his pokemon; it was rather amusing to watch them play some of the games; especially ones that they probably just weren’t suited to playing themselves. Still, as long as they were enjoying themselves then he had no real problem.

Cheri stopped a moment as yet the results of another jousting competition were called. This ticket was also a second place winner which, while not number one, was still good. She’d need to buy some more tickets at some point so it was probably a good thing they were in the actual jousting area. She’d need to case her choices and get a better idea of what they were. She felt eyes on her though and looked up blankly, seeing Lafayette looking at her quizzically. Where in the world had she gotten all their tickets?
In the meantime, Eve tried bobbing for berries. She only came up with two though and took the two tokens she was offered but decided to leave the berries. They didn’t taste quite right to her for some reason; where they bad? She didn’t want to be bringing back bad berries.

Once more the bean bag toss was rather promising for Noah, scoring him five more tokens as he landed two of the bags through the holes. Cheri watched with that same poker face as the Oshawott puffed his chest out excitedly, simply commandeering the otter’s tokens while he took pride in his accomplishment.
Lafayette took a moment to help Eve do the catapulting froakie game and it was abundantly clear that having a human help you for this game was worth it. Once more they scored a rather long distance; far better than she’d done on her own, and won a bunch of tokens to which were quickly passed off to the light pink Espurr.

Lafayette frowned a bit as he only managed to hit one platter. Or technically hit only one platter; he’d thrown hard enough that it shook the casing and sent a few others falling to the ground, but apparently that didn’t count in the actual rules of the game. With a sigh, he took the two tokens he was offered and moved along, eyeing their surroundings some as they went.
The crossbow range was a little more forgiving. He managed to get a bullseye the first go, but for some reason the bolts flew a little wide and landed on the outer circles. He could sort of feel a force behind them and gave a sharp glare down at Cheri. He couldn’t tell if she was up to something or not by that stare of hers but… well, he might’ve blamed her if it weren’t clear she wanted all the tokens they could muster.

Cheri eyed another ticket. Third place. Well, that was disappointing. Lafayette glanced down at the pokemon, frowning and kneeling down to be at (mostly) eye level with her. He yoinked the ticket from her grip, eyeing it a moment before giving her a bit of a look. "How do yeh keep gettin’ these?" He questioned, receiving silence in return. It was a little odd to see her with so many; she wasn’t cheating was she? Judging by the placement of the chosen horse… no. Probably not. If you were going to cheat, you’d do it better.
Eve gave the bobbing another go, avoiding the drowning and nabbing five berries in the process. Noah cheered her on. She was really good at this, which was odd seeing as how he was the water type here. Oh well, they were racking up tokens and that was pretty cool! He’d caught a glance of all the potential goodies they could get. He was now determined to score as much as he could.

While Lafayette questioned the legality of his Espurr's gambling, his other pokemon continued to enjoy the games. Noah took to the bean bag toss once more and happily got two thirds of the bags into the holes. He took the tokens with the widest of grins, toddling on over to watch Eve try the catapult.
She'd thought she understood the basics from when Lafayette had helped her but apparently, strength was a key factor and putting the catapult to it's full potential. She only flung the Froakie plushie a few feet, scoring herself a small amount of tokens for her trouble. Eve needed to figure out how to get more strength so she could achieve the maximum firing power needed.

Eve had better luck at the platter shattering game, destroying two of them for a total of four tokens. That made her feel a bit better. She and Noah didn’t have quite as much luck though when it came to double teaming the crossbow. Shots once more fired without proper aim, hitting just the outside rings and scoring them a minimal amount of tokens. Ah well, that was that.

Another jousting match was called and the results were in. Lafayette had snatched the ticket away before the Espurr could read it, looking it over and tilting his head. Another third place winner. Hm. The blonde looked down at the Espurr who had already begun to make her way towards the booths to collect whatever tokens they’d earned. Apparently his questions would remain unanswered.
Noah in the meantime, cheered for himself as he finally mastered the bobbing of berries. He’d managed to nab himself six berries this time, a new record for him! He was so excited that he went running to show his trainer, abandoning the berries he’d fished out. Who needed berries when you were so excited!

Lafayette had returned to his staring contest with Butch. For some odd reason, he found the act… intriguing. Or maybe he was just being stupid. The Rapidash in question followed suit with the action, this time creating a rather fiercely intense staring match. The air was silent save for the clopping of hooves and the occasional snorts from Butch.
”You know, m’lord, if you keep staring like that, he’s likely to turn around and kick you in the head.” A voice suddenly chimed. Lafayette broke eye contact with the Rapidash to look back, an eyebrow arching. There was a lad, probably a few years younger than himself, dressed as a stable hand. Quick thinking suggested the he was one of the few likely responsible for tending the horses.
"Oh yeh mate?" The blonde remarked a slight smile crossing his face as he returned his gaze to the flaming horse in question. "Oi ain’ worried." The lad titled his head questioningly as he gave Lafayette a curious look. ”Oh yeah? And why’s that?” He smirked a little. ”You’re not wearing a helmet; you have some kind of secret weapon?” Lafayette glanced back, smile widening in response. "Nah." Lifting a gauntlet hand to the side of his head, he gave three solid knocks against his temple, not at all flinching as metal met flesh, still smilng at the lad. "Jus’ a hard head."

The lad gave a smirk at that response. ”Heh, well then. I suppose that’s better than a helmet.” He mused. Walking over, he threw a foot up to the first of the bottom rings on the fence, hauling himself up a bit so that he was able to hang a bit over the top of the fence.
”I noticed you hanging around here for a quite a bit. More than most.” The sort of faux tone of a medieval person had left the lad now, though he seemed to be cautiously keeping an eye out on his surroundings in the event someone showed up. Lafayatte shrugged, glancing between the stalls that held the Rapidash. The lad glanced at him. ”You find yourself a favorite?”
Lafayette smiled a little, gesturing to one of the stalls. "I like theh grey one." The lad beamed a smile and nodded, looking in that direction. "Ah Ash, he’s a good one. Run the track a good long time. Does well usually, when the old age doesn’t catch him." The blonde quirked an eyebrow.

"Wha’s theh mattah with this bloke?" He jerked his head in Butch’s direction. The lad looked momentarily perturbed, giving an uneasy chuckle. ”Ah, we’re not really sure what’s the matter with Butch. He’s just… like that.” Lafayette frowned a little at that response, glancing between the Rapidash and the boy. "Wha’? He a bi' of a bounce?" The boy stared at Lafayette a moment, looking confused by his words.
”A… bounce?”"Yeh mate. A bounce." He jabbed a finger in the horse’s direction. "Seems like one." The boy still looked confused, rolling his shoulders and glancing off to the side. ”Ah… I don’t… know? Maybe?” It was fairly evident he didn’t really understand what Lafayette was implying. Shame. The blonde just gave a wry smile, returning his gaze to the horses.
