True to his word, when he showed up, Micah was indeed fully clothed. Horace got a pained look for his shirtless condition; Micah hadn't expected anything else, but still. "I'm here," he said, rather unnecessarily.

"Sun's out, guns out, or something like that." Incidentally that was exactly what his discarded tank top read. He grinned and summoned Jannisari. She materialized with a dry hiss, bone and tendon. Her sort of frightening appearance was probably ruined by the purple runes that crawled along her.
He rolled his shoulders and winced at the loud crack. That boded well. "If I win, you're going shirtless, right?"

The island was pretty much constantly hotter than Micah was used to, but he still preferred to keep his shirt on most of the time, even if it was only a thin shirt. "I don't know why you're so obsessed with making me take my shirt off," he complained, and summoned Nova. The whip uncoiled from his hand in an almost lazy motion.

Go, Nova demanded. She was being bossy, but they were here to fight; Micah took a quick step forward and brought her up and back and then around in a quick lashing motion. She hissed through the air, sliding along Dr. J's bones in a lazy, light bite.

"Because I like matching things, I dunno." He pointed to his own chest, then Micah's chest, and shrugged. The blue lash of Nova's whip almost made him flinch, but it was a lighter tap than he expected. Horace was tempted to grab ahold of her and yank, but instead he reached out, returning her blow with a slice of his blade.
He grinned at Micah. "Go easy on me, Nova~"

Micah tried to avoid the swipe, but he hadn't dodged fast enough, and Dr. J cut into his forearm. He returned the favor with a quick flick of Nova's lash. "Not like we're a matching set or anything," he sniped back.
Aw, he think I go easy on anybody, that cute.
"She says no."

"Nope," he agreed easily. "No one would ever think we're twinsies. That'd be weird, anyway." Although Horace did have a sister with red hair, sort of. No one ever really questioned them on that. He supposed it was because everyone had bigger fish to fry.
He hissed appreciatively at how fast Micah was to react. "Aw, I thought she liked me!" Horace tried to catch her length in his hand and, like an ell (or a slipperly tentacle), she slid free. Muttering, he launched himself at Micah, putting his shoulder into the other man.

"She does, but -- oof!" Micah stumbled backward, lashing out ineffectively as he did so; Nova's lash flailed wildly, mostly missing, her blades barely delivering a scratch.
He backed up, gasping to catch his breath, and completed the thought after a moment, "She says she doesn't -- go easy on anyone."
