Dance
Taught by: NPC
Rules:
Please only post when the class is open.
You may only enter four characters per class opening for credit.
You may only claim credit for the class once you have been quoted that you have received a passing grade.
Should you not pass the class, you will be quoted that your student needs to retake the class and they may try again the next time the class is open.
Please write a short RP response when your character comes to class and turns in their homework to the professor. No length requirement unless stated otherwise.

Class Activity
Opens: First day of the Month
Closes: Last day of the Month, 11:59pm EST
Choreographing
Today, we're going to focus on choreography. Namely, you'll be in charge! I would like you to choreograph as many pieces as you can this month. It could be solo pieces or group, as long as you perform them. Oh, and another thing, please have the dances have some inspiration from your life!
Rules:
Roll one 10-sided dice. That's how many dances you were able to choreograph in the month's time. Please describe your dances and inspirations in 100 words or more.
If you want to clarify different aspects of the dance in a written form as a reflection piece, you may as well.
You cannot fail.

Asuna was used to dancing in darkness penetrated by bright, flashing lights. The set-up of the dance studio might not be the same as an underground rave, but she didn't see a reason to stray from her usual dance style; after all, she shows her soul ever time she steps onto a dancefloor. She was happy to perform in front of her class, and began her routine with fun, bubbly movements. She didn't move around the floor too much, but she was always swaying her hips and moving her arms. After a minute or so of this fun, upbeat dance, she became a bit more serious. The music she had prepared became more bass-heavy and her movements became more sexual. Her body moved more slowly but her performance accentuated her plentiful curves. Suddenly the music changed into minor key, and the dance became more liquid as Asune utilised the entire space available to her. She seemed to almost flow around the room, her long, bright flowing hair trailing behind her dramatically. These movements continued for a minute before the song came to a close, and she finished with her arms outspread to the audience. Through this dance she tried to portray her teenaged innocence, the embracing of her sexuality and finally the release of her soul through music; hopefully the audience was as captivated by her performance as she was every time she looked in the mirror.

 61-80: Your feet were going right with the rhythm, but your arms... well, noodles is an apt description.Abrus wanted to add some flavor to his act, hence the dance class. The kirin watched other students flail about, trying to keep their balance or rythem. Abrus smirked and rolled his eyes. He was a circus performer, he knew he could outclass all of these novice performers. When it became Abrus's turn, he moved to the center of the dance floor and awaited the music. The music came on and the kirin was a little taken aback. He had expected carnival music. Wasn't that what people danced to? Instead he got some hip hop hoobla. The kirin looked uneasy for a moment before getting right into the music. His hooves clip clopped to the tune. Abrus tried to get a feel for the music for his entire body, but things just didn't feel right. He usually juggled while preforming. Thats what was wrong! Unsure what to do with his arms, Abrus mimicked the juggling motions to little effect. When it was finally over, the kirin went back to his spot, sweaty and humbled. Dancing was harder than he thought...

 Nightmare: Asuna
Prompt: Asuna always considered herself creative, so coming up with choreography was right up her alley; especially if she got to direct others in her dance as well. She drew her inspiration from the story of her life thus far, which was fitting considering she thought of herself as the most interesting topic of all. Her first two reflected on childhood, focusing primarily on small, clunky movements with purposeful 'missteps' representing early childhood, leading to slightly more coordinated but still rather simple movements for late childhood. Her moves became more dramatic for the next two dances as she began to draw upon her emotional teenage years. The fifth and sixth dances were meant to represent adulthood and began more fluid and sexual, focusing on the controlled movements of her body. Finally, the seventh dance represented her recent imbuing of a stone, concluding with low, sweeping movements as if she had an invisible child as a dance partner.

Nightmare: Abrus Fabales
Prompt: Abrus smiled to himself. 6 dances. Thats how many wonderful things he had brought, planned, and executed for the world to admire. His first started out simple, but then ramped up with the music until it was fast, intense, and you could see it was difficult to keep up with. When it felt like the dancer was going simply too fast to continue, the music froze, and the dance ended his performance in an elegant bow. Abrus put a waltz or two in his performance, for all those who preferred the classical dances. On his 5th dance tho, Abrus managed to find an electric swing song that really made the watcher want to get up and dance as well. His moves and pacing fit perfectly with the music, seeming to draw the audience onto the dance floor to join.
