Renewalazuredreams To: Jeremiah u got time to come over? we need 2 talk. Having overcome her illness, it was time to get back into the swing of things. Autumn took a deep breath and set her phone down, then paused. ...No, that wasn't right. This wasn't how she needed to get back on her feet with Jeremiah at all.

renewalThere was no response after that one, not until Autumn received a knock on the door. It was not that long after Blackfriars.

renewalAutumn opened the door, and unceremoniously threw herself around Jeremiah. Hugging him intently, she stood there a moment, simply relishing the fact she had him to fall back on. Not just a father figure, but a friend. Even if he was an old-a** British dude.
"That... that whole ******** thing. Was the single most exhausting day of my life. And I hate magic a little bit right now," she admitted, voice worn and tired. She looked no worse for the wear, sans horns and freckles, but god was Autumn tired.
"I slept for like, a week. No joke."

renewalJeremiah was not expecting an immediate hug but it was returned once the surprise wore off, arms going around her and squeezing reassuringly. He had been worried, had seen her bleeding there and now that she was whole it was reassuring. An eyebrow was raised at the horns but he simply shook his head. "I'm going to guess that ... that is partly because of the freckles and the horns?" he asked, waiting for her to let him in. If she wanted to continue to lean on him, it was alright. "You likely needed the sleep. Once I got home, I practically collapsed with Alg." There was, as he moved, a slight limp.

"Past the horns ******** up my hair, I'm actually pretty okay with them? I can look all earth witch and s**t now," Autumn laughed, stepping back into her home and welcoming Jeremiah in. From the sofa, Rosalinde looked up and meowed a greeting. Her tail flicked gently and she closed her eyes, then went back to curling up on her flowery spot on the sofa. Even in the new apartment, the queen had once more taken her throne.
Cheeky little s**t.
"It's the whole. Getting my ******** s**t kicked by werewolves. Apparently I was taken downstairs... slept for a week, and woke up totally okay. Except for the new horns and s**t, but. I think that's part of the magic territory." She shrugged nonchalantly, only for her gaze to flick down to Jeremiah's leg. Autumn narrowed her eyes in scrutiny.
"...You're still hurt, aren't you? Take a seat on the sofa. Let me take care of that."

renewal"They do look good on you," he replied easily and followed her inside to the new apartment. "... so you're sleeping beauty now as well?" Jeremiah was oddly amused but at least this ability healed her when she had been so hurt. "I did not exactly come out unscatched either," there was that wry look on his face as he sat down, "but neither one of the changes is obvious." An eyebrow was raised about the taking care of it. "It's fine, one of them got me in the leg-" Jeremiah looked at her seriously. "Sit down, Autumn, I can handle stitches and I don't want to see you exhausting yourself." It was true, especially after everything that had happened. Her being injured, seeing everyone that had been bloody and broken- No, Jeremiah was content. Besides that the scars would be a reminder.

Renewal "I swear to christ if I like. Start making poison apples or some s**t, I'm out. I started watching Disney movies, just to keep a list of what ******** white-a** princess I might turn into next." She gestured over to the stack of Disney movies, separated into two neat piles by alphabetical order, and frowned. "I swear to ********, chief, if I get a mermaid tail, I'm done. I'm just ******** done."
At the refusal, Autumn folded her arms and frowned.
"Look. I got healing powers for a reason. What the ******** am I supposed to do if not healing?" She argued, but it wasn't nearly as fiery as it might've been. Instead, Autumn leveled the older man with a disapproving stare.
"...Can I at least make you tea?"

"Whatever you say, Merida." Jeremiah's lips twitched in amusement. Mostly because that was the particular Disney princess that reminded him of Autumn the most. Wild, free, and sure of herself. "... but it's understandable with the changes, I don't think I'd want to have a fish tail but I did end up with ..." There was a shake of his head at her posture and he sighed. "You can have a look at it, if you want, but I don't think it really warrants healing." He gave her a small smile. "... you know I'll never tell you no to tea."

"Merida? I mean. My hair is probably big enough," Autumn laughed, reaching back and puffing her hair gently. "I don't think I could rock the Scottish accent any time, though. Or the bow. I can barely swing a baseball bat, as-is."
She went to the kitchen and started pulling down teas, humming to herself as she inspected them. Briefly, she leaned around the doorway, and called back.
"I'm not making you anything black. I have this feeling you need rest, rather than a caffeine kick." In fact, he could deal with her relaxation blend. Jasmine, chamomile, a touch of peach. Relaxing and soft. Autumn put the tea in the pot and set it aside, waiting.
"So. After I went down... did I miss anything?

"It's more the attitude than anything else." Jeremiah gave her a smile. "You're strong-willed and a free spirit." Someone that needed to be free in order to blossom, not chained down. There was an annoyed snort at hearing he was not getting anything black to drink but he was tired himself and would not argue.
"Considering that I've had an entire kettle already of a particularly black blend, I think I'll be alright with something not." He leaned back on the couch, his shoulders rolling while he listened to the comforting noises of tea being made.
"... ah, did ..." A hand was raked through his hair. "It was Michael Mitchell, the biggest one. One of the original missing, one of the ones that's meant to hold back the dark." There was an implication there that meant he was not even supposed to be on this side like Heliodora.

visiting motherThere was a scratch on the door, a small mew following it. Hellbine had darted away from his people-dad to come and visit his mother. Not that Jeremiah would not be there in a few minutes himself (it was time for that weekly lunch between Autumn and himself) but for now it was just the small white othercat there at the door.

renewal"I know that you basically run yourself ragged with this s**t," Autumn called from the kitchen as she poured the tea, "But you really need to give yourself some time to heal and relax. Don't run yourself ragged."
She came over with a cup, and handed it off to Jeremiah. Michael Mitchell was the alpha? Autumn frowned, sitting down next to Jeremiah. The cup was warm against her hand, a stark contrast to the chill of dread setting down her spine.
"Was. He WAS one of the originals. You're saying it like he can't anymore." Autumn swallowed thickly, looking up to Jeremiah.
"...Did. Did we fail him?" visiting motherAutumn opened the door, knowing the telltale cry of Hellbine. She smiled brightly, only to be forcefully SHOVED out of the way by Rosalinde. The fully-grown Othercat nuzzled her child happily, purring contentedly as she did.
'Look at you! Look how you've grown! You're bigger every time I see you!' Rosalinde cooed, sitting up proudly and looking down at her little princess. 'Are you keeping your brother in line?'

Jeremiah, outside of the house and away from Algie, was frequently cold. The chill to his spine had been so much worse than usual in light of everything. "You and Alg both," he huffed, taking the cup of tea from her. It was the truth however and only a few would be able to see the signs, Autumn among that few.
"... it is what I think," he said quietly, looking down at his cup. "I'm not certain, I have to talk with Heliodora to confirm for sure but I found Pax in my garden upset that she had sent it away. It said she was crying because her friend died." Jeremiah raked a hand through his hair, blue-green eyes focused on the liquid in his cup before he took a sip.
It would not ease the chill.
"You didn't fail him, Autumn, so don't think that you did." Jeremiah looked up at her, his tone firm and his eyes focused intently.
