He was recovered - mostly - from his run-in with the dagger captain, though not as much as he would have hoped. Remus's back still twinged, but he had to admit that Michael's impromptu stitching had done the job well enough since Remus had been too stubborn to go to the hospital.
But it had all worked out in the end, at least for the most part. And Remus couldn't spend all of his time indoors, no matter the case, no matter how much he would rather have just curled up and watched a movie or maybe go boarding or play volleyball.
Or really, do anything except face a Negaverse agent again.
A part of Remus was still wary of going out once more, but pretending that the world did not exist just because he didn't want it to didn't actually make it true. And spending his entire life afraid was like living a half life; there was no way he could let that happen.
So he was out, trying to take it easy, Remus keeping to the better lit streets, though with a certain amount of caution.

At this point Romulus had met a few members of her court, and it had helped to clear up some of her questions and concerns, but she'd always been an inquisitive person, and for every answer she got, about a dozen more questions seemed to surface. Ah well, maybe she and Remarque could have another sit down, see if he could help clear a few more things up for her. He always seemed pretty patient. The one time she'd met him. The DMC was laying, stomach down, on the roof edge of a bar, watching the alley below for staggering drunks or transients. One arm was folded to pillow her cheek, the other was dangling down, mirror shard turning slowly between her fingers as she waited. One guy had wandered her way already, and she'd sent a wraith down to lap up a bit of his energy, but it'd been a good half an hour since then, and she was beginning to wonder if perhaps she should find herself a new perch. This one didn't seem to be particularly fruitful. There was, however, an odd sensation at the corner of her consciousness. Like when she'd felt Acubens, but different. Lighter? She wasn't sure. And if she could feel them, did that mean they could feel her?

He could sense someone nearby; it was still a strange feeling to be able to tell when there was a person like him in the vicinity, but Remus had started to grow used to the prickling at the edges of his consciousness that indicated power. Granted, he still thought it inconvenient at times, especially since he knew that noticing someone else's signature meant that they noticed his own.
Stealth was clearly not a priority in the powered world.
It came from above this time; or at least, he thought it did. Remus ambled slowly down the street, coming to a stop in front of a closed bar, the windows dark and shadowed, the rest of the road lit only by a few dim street lamps. He'd wandered a little farther than he would have liked; Remus tilted his head this way and that, trying to figure out where they were.
"Yoo hoo, anyone around?" he called softly. The power signature was not quite like his own, which meant possibly Negaverse - but it was also not extraordinarily strong, which meant that whoever it was was not that much better than he was in terms of power.
At least, he hoped not.

Shifting in place, the dark mirror sat up, attention all for the approaching power signature. Definitely different, she wondered, idly, if her mirror wraith would have any effect, or if it was useful against civilians only. Surely try could be used against powered individuals. Imagine how quickly one could fill a quota that way. Eyes bright, she slid along the edge off the roof until she could see him. "Depends whose lookin." It was the only warning she'd give the unknown senshi before flicking the wrist that still held the mirror shard, sending the wraith down and along the sidewalk. It wouldn't kill him. It wouldn't even seriously hurt him, which means there's be a chance afterwards of talking to him about joining them. Or do she was hoping.

He heard the voice from somewhere above him just before something came flashing towards him. Remus gave a yelp of surprise and stumbled back, but not before the creature - or whatever it was - skittered towards him, clearly intent on attacking him.
"What the hell is that thing?" he called out, hopping back in an attempt to get away from it, though it advanced all the more, glittering and glinting like glass as it moved.
He did not want to use his magic just yet. Remus hastily sidestepped, the creature taking a swipe at him and catching him by the ankle. He kicked out at it, twisting around a lamppost in an effort at avoiding it. It did not have the appearance of a youma, but then again, who knew exactly what it was, considering the vast shapes and sizes of youma.
"What, you're not going to come out and greet me?" Remus said airily. "Come on, that's no fair."

It definitely wasn't a youma. In fact, the small swipe at the senshi's ankle didn't do much of anything to him besides a slight tug. It prowled past, taking that small lick of energy along with it, and then jumped back up towards the little mirror fragment Romulus was holding. "Mirrorwraith," she informed him almost cheerfully, sitting up then and giving her location away. "It think's you're tasty, lots of energy." Grinning, she tucked the shard away and slipped forward to hop down from her perch, landing on the sidewalk in front of the young man with a smack of short heels on concrete. "I guess if you'd rather this go face to face." She hadn't faced a senshi yet. She hadn't face anyone yet, actually. Rommy was curious to see just how this would play out. She wasn't exactly a skilled fighter, but she wasn't helpless, either. Did the senshi have any experience? "So..." Hands up, feet shifting, she tilted her head as she looked across at him. "Who are you?" kuropeco I lost this for a little while x.x Can we finish it?

Remus let out an inelegant snort.
"I'm full of energy, but none of that is for any of you," he said, rolling his eyes. "I dunno what that thing is, but keep it away from me, otherwise I'll just stomp on it. Is it a pet of yours or something? It looks dumb."
He could have stopped being so blatantly sarcastic, but it wasn't in Remus's nature. He grinned at the girl as she appeared, spreading out his gloved hands on either side of him and giving her a mock salute.
"Sailor Remus of Regolith at your service," he said mockingly. "And you are?"

"You'd be welcome to try, but it's incorporeal. Stomping on it would only let it pass through you more, and let it siphon of more of your yummy energy." Her hand twitched back towards where she'd tucked the shard away. "I'd be happy to let you try, though." She smiled sweetly at him, tone just helpful as can be. She doubted he'd take her up though. "Remus, huh? That's funny." Was there some sort of irony at play here? Who was in charge of assigning celestial bodies to the powered soldiers of Destiny City. "I'm Romulus, Dark Mirror of Craters."

Remus made a face. "That's just gross, energy isn't yummy. It's just what people have, and stealing it is lame as s**t. It's like that's all you guys can do or something, right? Take or whatever." He waved a hand, exhaling a breath that was more of a dramatic sigh than anything else. "How stupid."
Romulus. He wasn't stupid; he knew the old story of Remus and Romulus. He'd watched Harry Potter. How ironic, though, that he'd run into the sibling of his own name, or something to that effect. Remus raised his eyebrows, looking amused.
"Craters is a dumb sphere," he deadpanned, and threw a punch at her.

Dark browse arched, and Romulus giggled. "Well, it does, obviously." And again, she gestured towards where she'd hidden the shard. "I wouldn't know personally, we don't collect it for ourselves." A pause here, as she mused over something he'd said. "Who do you mean by 'you guys'?" Surely not the Dark Mirror Court. From everything she'd been told, they were separate from the squabbles of the white moon and the Negaverse. Neutral. Switzerland. She snorted as he dissed her sphere, blowing teal tipped bangs out of her eyes, only to stagger back a few steps, yelping, as knuckles rather suddenly connected with her face. "********' ow!" She rubbed at her nasal rigid, hissing through the pain, before dropping her hand to glower at him. "Whatever, better than your's. What the ******** is regolith anyways? At least people know what craters are." "I'm getting the distinct impression that you aren't going to simply let me go on my merry way so I can finish collecting my quota for the night." Instead of simply waiting for an answer, the dark mirror lunged forward, aiming a wild right hook for the other senshi's cheek. If she dazed him, she could probably slip away and make a break for a mirror.

"Don't you collect it for some like, weird overlord person?" Remus waved a hand to indicate as much. "Like, I dunno, Metallia or whatever, that great omnipotent being of nothing in particular that y'all have never seen? That's really stupid, y'know - and like, all of you." He gestured again, circling a finger in the girl's direction. "You're in with those Nega freaks, you're not really special."
He grinned at her, eyes dancing.
"Moondust," said Remus airily. "Craters are just thinks you fall in."
His punch managed to land satisfyingly hard on her face. His mother had told him to try and not hit girls, not because they were weak, but because they could hit back, but this was a different situation. The Negaverse were all sorts of evil, and the Dark Mirrors were just a part of that, in his mind.
Her return strike landed on his cheek. Remus staggered back with a lurch, pain exploding across his face, and he gave a shout of protest, instinctively driving his knee up to try and get to her stomach.
"You little s**t."

Romulus managed to her hands between his knee and her stomach as it came up, but that really only slowed it down, not stopped it. The blow still connected, and it still managed to steal a bit of her breath away, but not as badly as it might have if she hadn't been ready for it. With a grunt, she pushed him away from her. "No, that's not it at all. God." What where they teaching the other side? They sounded so clueless. "We aren't affiliated with Metalia, at all. We're gathering energy to," she stopped, not entirely sure if this was information she should be sharing. "You know what? It's none of your damn business." She lashed out at him again, throwing another punch, but this time she'd aim lower, attempting to match the knee to the stomach he'd thrown at her a moment before.

He stumbled a little, the force of his attempt at kneeing the senshi causing Remus to stagger forward ungracefully, almost falling over in the process of attempting to keep his balance. He'd managed a blow, but at the expense of nearly faceplanting to the ground.
Romulus had shoved him back. Remus went the other direction, his brows raising.
"You don't know, do you?" he jeered, grinning mockingly at her. "You have no idea why you're gathering energy, you're just making s**t u - ow."
Her fist connected with his stomach. Remus doubled over, gasping and choking, arms wrapped around his middle because <******** did that hurt.
"You b***h - " he choked out, and kicked out viciously towards her ankle.

Romulus chuckled in satisfaction as his belittling commentary was cut short. She knew, but if he didn't, she wasn't going to tell him what her court was up to. She had no way of knowing what he'd do with that information. The insult only seemed to make her smile brighter, and she opened her mouth, no doubt to deliver something snarky, but instead gave a yelp of pain, followed immediately by a hiss as she jumped back from him. "Alright, now you're starting to get on my nerves. Crater Strike!" This was still new. She'd only played with her magic a time or two, but it ha all seemed very straightforward in practice. Shout it out, and she got a brief burst of extraordinary strength. Strength she would direct in a carefully aimed punch at the other Senshi's face. kuropeco Calling out this attack will momentarily super charge a single striking limb of DMS Romulus, allowing her to deliver a single, stronger than human blow to an opponent or a target. - The enhanced body part will remain charged no longer than half a minute, or until it makes contact with another object/person. - This attack can only be used twice per battle.

He made a face, then staggered as her magic crashed into him, her fist connecting with the side of his head. Remus dropped to one knee, gasping in pain, and felt the sting of her blow spreading all throughout his jawline, a dull ache that seemed to throb harder and harder as time passed.
"s**t," he gasped out, trying to get back up, but the balance was off and he fell back down again. "Ow.
"That hurt."
