Basic Kimchi Role Play Information

The official writing style of the guild is third person point of view and past tense, so please do not write in any other style so that nobody else is confused by your posts. This is a literate RP guild, so posts are expected to be approximately two to three paragraphs long, and at least two hundred and fifty to three hundred words.

You should be aware that in this guild, you will RP as both your character and your character's Pokémon. This means that at any given time, you could be RPing up to seven characters at once. While you RP, try to give your Pokémon some personality, as it will give your posts a much better feel if you give your Pokémon feelings rather than treating them as emotionless tools. An easy way to do this is to not keep them in their Poké Balls all the time while you travel around the region. Keep at least one or two out with you and RP them as well. This will not only help you to keep the RP interesting, but it will also help you become a better RPer. Have fun with it!

You should also be aware that you will actually have to RP your actions, such as a Pokémon using a move. Unlike the game, where moves are used and damage is simply applied automatically, you will actually have to say in your posts what your trainer and their Pokémon are doing.

Example: Calling out to his Skarmory, Renashu yelled "Skarmory, use Steel Wing!" With a quick nod, Skarmory dove from its position above Arthur's Kabutops. Gathering speed as it dove downwards, Skarmory's left wing began to glow silver. With its wings spread wide, Skarmory pulled up at the last second, and struck at the Kabutop's head with its left wing.

Traveling Throughout the Region

To travel through the Kimchi Region, you cannot simply put an exit post in one town, and an entrance in another. In every town there will be a route going into it, and a route leaving it. You must post in both of these route threads and RP your character walking around the region. If you are caught skipping over these travel posts, disciplinary action may be taken.

Catching Pokémon

The current system for catching Pokémon is to simply RP your trainer encountering the Pokémon, beating it into submission/befriending it, and then catching it with a Poké Ball. BE WARNED. Pokémon that are more evolved and therefore more powerful will require a Great Ball or better to catch and cannot be befriended to weasel out of not having strong enough Poké Balls to catch it. If we find you doing this, there will be serious repercussions.

Seasons

With the implementation of seasonal forms with Pokémon, The Kimchi region now has seasons. This does not change anything but the form of Pokémon that changes with the seasons. They are as follows: March to May is Spring, June to August is Summer, September to November is Autumn, and December to February is Winter.
