The world is coming to a crisis...and only you can save it! You are one of the few survivors of what is currently being called 'The War of the Endtimes', and now you're standing smack in the middle of a town filled with demons who want nothing more than to tear you to pieces, humans who are slowly losing their sanity, and even worse things beyond that! Your only mission is to survive...and if possible, defeat the threat inherent behind it all! ...And also available to those of you who are ambitious and seek to demonstrate your strength in this messed up apocalypse, is a goal to wrack up a high score! You are a Devil Survivor! Your other powers are muted due to the swiftly deteriorating state of the world and its magic, and only the devils within your Summoning App are available to you as defense against the oncoming storm!
Though you're trapped in the city, you have means available to you to obtain even stronger weapons against the foes you will face! One of these means is a Demon Auction and a Cathedral of Shadows, through which you can win and fuse stronger demons to use against your foes! Based upon your performance throughout the event, stronger demons and fusions may be available to you...so the longer you survive, the more success you have, the better your odds of winning a great prize and surviving 'til the end will become! --------------------------- Roll/Event Guide- Every turn, you will roll a die 1-10000. Depending on your roll, your character may achieve one of several results...
-If you roll a 1, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000, or 10000, you will defeat one of the primary enemies of the event...a General of Hell, General of Hel, a Fiend, or a General of the Underworld! You will receive [50 Tokens] for this feat and a [Fiend Prize]! This will advance the event to the next stage...until all major enemies are defeated!
-If you roll 2-999, you survive your post! (Receive a 'Mannikin Talisman'. Collect 5 Mannikin Talismans for a Prize!)
-If you roll 1001-1999 the forces of the Assembly of Nihilo ambush you! You fend them off and retreat temporarily! Choose: [Win 7 Tokens but your lowest level demon dies.], or [Sacrifice 5 Tokens and your highest level demon gains 2 levels]. (Receive one Digit of a '5-Digit Code'. Receive all 5 Digits for a Prize!)
-If you roll 2001-2999, 3001-3999 you successfully win an encounter with demons of either faction! This will allow you to gain a [Token]! Tokens can be spent on rewards once you have enough...
-If you roll 4001-4999, 5001-5999 you will win a difficult battle against a massive horde of demons. This will earn you [5 Tokens]!
-If you roll 6001-6999 you will defeat Special-Encounter Demon [7 Tokens + Automatically draw a demon 3 Levels above your current level].
-If you roll 7001-7999, you may Form a Fate Link with another character, Raise a Fate Link by +1 Level with someone you've already Formed a Link with (to a MAX of 5), or Encounter an NPC character and form a Fate Link with them. NPCs include Obelyn Cernunnos, Fenrisulfr, Jormungandr, Dante, Isamu, Chiaki, Hikawa, or the Riders of the Apocalypse, and others!. Receive 10 Tokens - Freely fuse two demons you control.
-If you roll 8001-8500, you may win a major encounter against the demons serving the Mantra. This will grant you [10 Tokens] and receive 1 Power Node! Collect 5 Power Nodes for a surprise.
-If you roll 8501-8999, you complete a mission in which you court or are possessed by a devil to defeat a terrifying foe. You earn [10 Tokens] for this mission, and obtain a [Special Demon] for your Cathedral of Shadows Summoning App! Receive [1 Shard] of 'Mask of Aradia'. Receive 5 Shards to complete the mask and receive a prize!
-If you roll 9001-9500, Complete a Minor Bounty Hunt for Obelyn Cernunnos and slay one of the lesser servants of Loki or Lucifer. [Earn 10 Tokens and earn 10 Macca. If you earn 250 Macca, something may become available to you under certain conditions...]
-If you roll 9501-9999, you encounter True Chaos Demi-Fiend Tala Ivanov and are ruthlessly killed...OR by a Rival Faction! Either of these is [Game Over] and your character is removed from the event.
-You may redeem Tokens for various perks, listed below.Quote: Token Guide- 10 Tokens: Win a new demon from an auction! Demon must be within 3 Levels of your own. -15 Tokens: Fuse two demons you own together! "And what of what I want? Justice...revenge for the sister they murdered?!"It happened in a flash...so fast, it was hard to believe that it had ever really happened at all. The way the skies and the portals beneath the ground seemed to open up like a gaping maw of fire and shadow, the hordes of warring devils that seemed to emerge in an endless horde from each of these portals across the world. It all began in Japan, but that was only the beginning, the flashpoint from which the world was engulfed in this War of the Endtimes. Devils...demons...even some Angels, estranged or transformed humans...they were forced to choose their sides as the Two Great Lords of Hell faced off against one another with their true might for the first and last time, to decide which future for the Underworld was the only future for the Underworld, and the Earth itself was caught in the crossfire. Humanity was a mere puppet, an accessory, to a war beyond their own ken. And it fell in a matter of 7 days...
...But even after the end game, and humanity died by the billions around the world, the War of the Endtimes continued without a victor. And it continued to rage, the heart of the matter in the tiny landmass of Japan, where the last hopes of humanity were shielded against total annihilation by an ally in the shadows...someone who hoped to turn the boundless potential of man against the two Overlords who used them like playthings for their own machinations. That man was the Red Viper, a disenfranchised Lord of the Underworld with a Grudge. And as the 7th Day of Destruction passed, a new 1st Day dawned...
...A new Genesis of Man, a new Conception, was about to begin. As the humans who slept, protected from the war, awaken from their forced slumber and step out into the world, a voice greets them...the voice of their protector, their 'Ally in the Apocalypse'. It poses a simple question...

The Lord of Darkness and the Trickster God have brought chaos, destruction, and upheaval into your world for nothing but their own petty feud, yet for you, it is a calamity beyond all others. Until now, my power has shielded you from the destruction...but my power is waning, and I can no longer guard you against the horrors that await in the streets and the world beyond. Five cities remain standing, though heavily infested with your enemies...and everywhere, those enemies will seek to annihilate you. But I see within your heart...an ember, a fierce strength...and I want to use that fire to strike back against the self-proclaimed Gods who have hurt you.

...His message is heavy, and hard to hear, but one look beyond the veil which had once protected you and now fades reveals that you have indeed been sleeping through something impossible...the end of days, and a war that filled the world with devils and dust and destruction. And in his words is an implicit question...a choice that must be made.

The girl woke up laughing...never a good sign. She'd been...out cold for a lengthy period of time....Right in the middle of a war. Even as she slowly raised to her feet, the spectacle before her was just...just..
"Outstanding.." she uttered in awe, pushing herself up. There was a voice, asking her important questions....Telling her of the scenario she was found in..and how they had a chance to turn the tide. To show the world what humans could do...To stop the war...
'I see...' the girl thought, pacing out with her phone at the ready. Something was inside of it...Something that would help her fight...But, the girl didn't pay it much mind. Things were looking rather interesting as it was....
And she wasn't about to let a little chaos, and unruly war kill her fun this soon. Anguish, misery, and blood....

"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"So this was the endgame. He had often imagined what the world that Kisa was truly struggling against when she had first told him her story might have been like, but now the illustration of the world possible scenario had played out before him like a bad musical. All he could do was watch from his balcony as it unfolded right before his eyes, the world crumbling into dust from the wars, the demons, the Fiends that ran rampant. Many others had simply slept through the protection that the Red Viper had offered them, missing the horrific events that had shaped this new world into the wrecked ruin that it had become, but the leader of the Investigation Team was different, for reasons he likely couldn't tell you even if you asked. He wasn't sure if it was the Candelabrum of Eternity that he still had in his possession that allowed him to see through the veil of sleep that had been forced over them, or simply his own innate powers that had slowly ebbed and given way to what now lay within him in this summoning app and the demonic candlestick combined, but as the days of war passed and humanity fell, its cities going to ruin...in only those seven days, he watched it all but had to wait. It was torture...but at the same time, it set the table for him, it painted the picture so clearly that the image would be forever seared into the back of his mind.
This was what Kisa had been fighting against. This was what she was likely out there still fighting against. And now, he understood her all the better, but he wished in a way that he hadn't needed to. If they had fought together sooner, more diligently...if he had put aside the Tower for a while to focus on this, could they have prevented the War of the Endtimes? Stopped the two Devil Lords from letting their feud spill out into their world? ...Hindsight was a b***h, but it was also mostly useless in this case. He pushed the thoughts aside for now and tried to refocus. He remembered the Viper's words, the unspoken question. There was no doubt that Soji Seta intended to survive. He intended to survive...and he intended to put the world right, because that's simply what he did. He was the hero...the fighter. Even if he never really thought of himself in such glowing terms, there was no threat he wouldn't stand up to challenge, and no injustice he wouldn't seek to put right if it were within his power. He was released from his stasis and found himself alone in the streets of Okina City, where he had been making a stop on his way home from the beach with Yukiko...but he couldn't see her anywhere, nor could he remembered clearly where she had gone. He hadn't watched her be taken...or hurt. Perhaps she had been behind him? Or perhaps she had already awakened and gone in search of him? Did the veil make them invisible, perhaps, and she missed him? He needed his questions answered, but for now, the most important thing was simply to move. To walk forward, to explore, to learn the truths behind what had befallen the world he loved and fought so hard to protect.
He needed to understand this world, so that he could understand how to save it...and there was one person he knew of that likely had more answers than him right now. Trusting that Yukiko was safe, he decided to head into the station and see if he could find a working train (though the silence and the lack of artificial lights in the city said that was unlikely) back towards Inaba. And once there, he knew who his first stop would be to see.
'Yukiko, be safe...' he gave a small, final wish in her direction, hoping against hope that she was fine, wherever she was...before setting off into the town, 'I could search out the Red Viper, but I assume he'll find us when he's ready if he knows this much. ...Kisa, I know you're tough as nails, so you're probably out there somewhere. Just hang in there until I find you. I've got some questions I think you can probably answer...'Quote: 0 Tokens

"Ho...huh? Get ready to witness the power of a true summoner elite!"He wasn't sure exactly what happened, but even he could see that dusty roads, shattered buildings, and the like were certainly not good things. Before the sleep had taken him, the city of Oshu had been tall and dark and cold and...it was still basically all of those things, except that the tall buildings were in ruins and the roads were much dirtier and less full of thugs from the Syndicates, but even more full of demons now! Leaping down from the top of a lamppost, the Great Summoner Jakken Kuzunoha stood at the heart of this ruined city and took stock of what had happened, of what had changed since he had suddenly lost consciousness not so very long ago. The world had ended...but people, like himself, endured. Demons walked the streets and he could practically feel the malevolence leaking out of every corner of this world. Was this the result of a war between Demon Lords? It made sense, but such a thing hadn't happened and spilled into this world since...ever? It was enough to send a chill down his spine, but his resolve, like always, was steel. He stood up tall and looked far into the distance, hearing the sounds of a terrible scuffle from the station nearby.
"...I should investigate that disturbance. Perhaps someone there will have an explanation for this chicanery," he thought aloud, hoping that Nia, like always, was somewhere close behind. He looked, but he didn't see her...but that didn't mean she wasn't there, only perhaps that she hadn't caught up to him yet. But she always caught up to him, always. She was amazing like that, his Nia. His faith in her was as unshakeable as his faith in himself. And now, there was a job to do and he was going to see it done. The silver haired girl rounded the corner where she saw the silverette take...and saw him laying in a puddle of crimson liquid. She gasped in horror, reaching for her phone as she heard other beings gather."Oooh..a Snack.."
"Oooh..and a living human too..! I bet she's good.."Youmu turned around to see the horde of demons...and...Drew her blade.
"Come at me, if you dare." she called, starting to swing her blade as the earthen demon apprated at her side once more. Earthen Magic combined with blades, and as the girl fought off her encounter...she could feel something inside of her, growing. Getting stronger.....
Eyes went to her phone at this, seeing a new being in her database...And she held her phone up high.
"High Pixie! Bring this fallen soul back to our world!" she called out, energy pooling. The small demon appeared...and a surge of energy rushed into Soji, to revive him. She could feel a sigh of relief as the boy would twitch, tremble..and slowly rise to his feet. She..didn't know the boy, but judging by his uniform...He went to their school.

She merely brought him out when he was able, and used her own body to handle the ones that were out for blood. Cuts, bruises, and slashes tore at her body....Yet, she never stopped...Never relented....
And, as she tore the last demon asunder, she went back to her routine, humming all the while.

"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"It was a whole new world he had stepped into; once, he had glimpsed a fragment of that truth when he was ambushed by Fiend and stood together with Kisa on occasion. But never had that truth been more evident to him than this moment:
He came through a haze down the street, lit dimly by the red light of a sky that was only half as hot as the red of his hair. A wide smirk curled his lips, and the marks on his body were familiar enough that a sudden panic nearly swept through the body of the Investigation Team's leader when he realized from the stories exactly who was walking down the street in his direction...at a time when Soji found himself more vulnerable than he had ever been since his fighting days began. But this was the world that Kisa faced everyday, the world that she had become a part of, and this was the man who stood at the end of that path, the emblem of the things that she would never support, the path she could never take. The silver-haired Senior met his eyes as they came almost face-to-face, ashen eyes meeting terrifying golden ones as the red-haired fiend smirked wolfishly. Soji did not smile. He knew what this meeting likely meant. He knew the threat that it posed to his survival. And he knew that running would be pointless, anyway. It wasn't in him from the start.
"So, you're him. You're Soji Seta, that guy the half-wit half-breed seems so keen on. ...I expected something more."
"And I expected you to have horns and a jagged tail or something. Since when do Fiends look so...boy band?"
The red-haired Fiend chuckled. A sweatdrop rolled down the back of Soji's neck.
"You're funny. Too bad," he smirked...and thrust his hand straight through the boy's stomach, almost as though he weren't even there...save for the crimson that stained the Demi-Fiend's hand, "Sorry...this isn't personal, you know. Just sending a message."
...
And before he could even speak or register the pain, the world went white and something crashed painfully into the side of his head...or was it his head crashing into it? He couldn't know...only sleep...
...
Until he awoke, conscious once more...rescued, healed by something beyond his knowledge. ...And not so far away was a girl, crumpled to the ground in a helpless, bleeding heap. And around the corner, blood.
Death followed in that thing's wake, and now...Soji knew. THIS was the world in which Kisa lived.
Without thinking, he gripped the Candelabrum that he had taken from the corpse of Daisoujou and looked at it long, and hard...this thing...was what they were all after, right? But what could it do? What was its purpose?
Before he could consider it, something began to overtake him...a sensation of falling, of weightlessness...
And he slipped into the Amala Network without ever really knowing how or why...Quote: 7 Tokens

The blue haired boy had been relieved to find a fellow classmate in the ruined world....Yet, no sooner had he greeted the boy, did they start moving...A far..Far distance.....And yet, as they emerged from the world once more, the boy raised an eyebrow.
"Mannn, that was awesome!" Shun called to the cool silverette....And then blinked. No sooner had he arrived, did the boy see what he was required..Nay..Destined to do.
"I will save you, mysterious girl!" the boy called, raising his phone up. 'High pixie!" the boy called, the fairy appearing...And then starting to fill the girl with life. She had been..important to someone, and in trouble. What more reason did he need to help?
The boy grinned ear to ear, waiting...Hoping for the best of the situation. They..had made it in time, yeah?
And as his weapons gleamed...demons approached...

She'd seen white, since the Trumpeter's attack. It was a...fierce, powerful blow...and, she didn't feel like she survived it. Yet...
'I Will save you, Mysterious girl!'
A voice.... An unfamiliar, unassuming one...But, as she felt life come back to her body, she opened her eyes...and saw the silver haired boy that she had saved...coupled with a boy with blue hair. She weakly pushed herself to her feet, and bowed.
"Th..thank you.' she called to the two, smiling. "If..if it wasn't for you two..I'd be.."
She hesitated to say the word, it not feeling real. Yet, as she heard the presence of more demons, she drew her weapon again.
"I...Will be back. There's something i need to take care of, first.'
She gripped her weapon as life flowed through her, and she braced. Her energy felt like it was rising...and, as her phone filled with a new demon..She gave a small, but confident smile.
'Inugami!" she called out, the white bodied demon flowing around her, and joining her assaults. She would need every ounce of power she could obtain to save everyone...and she intended to do just that...Fates willing. Quote: Event: Special Encounter. He didn't really think about the fact that he had just kidnapped someone until he was about halfway through the Network and struggling to find something interesting to talk about with his newest companion, but when that realization hit, man, did it hit like a ton of bricks. He wasn't entirely sure what to say to that revelation, though, so he decided to just say nothing at all about it. Jokes about the weather in the Amala Network weren't really a hit after that, however, so he had to find something else to talk about. Which of course, lead to the explanation of why he had actually kidnapped the kid in the first place. To help some mysterious girl who had lent him a hand, he can only assume, since when he found her she was dead beside him and he was alive again after finding himself dying at the hands of that red-haired monster. It was a vicious cycle, that. But one he didn't plan to make a habit of, if he could help it. Especially the dying, finding dead people, and kidnapping people to save dead people parts. Like, so, basically all of it. But hey, new friend! He laughed uneasily when they emerged from the network, glad that Shun (as he had gathered his name was on the way) hadn't gotten too sick from the sensation.
"That's her...if there's anything you can do to help her," he began, but the eccentric teen was already on the job before he could speak, surprising (pleasantly) the leader of the Investigation Team with his earnest enthusiasm, "...Thank you, Shun."Quote: 27 Tokens - 25 Tokens [Revive Nito] = 2 Tokens

No matter! After all, these things happened for a reason, and mysterious entities would become familiar..eventually.

...Even if the silverette didn't actually have his back, or was even present....He still was able to tear through the demons like Hot butter....And, as he wiped the blades clean again, he shrugged his shoulders.
