Hi again everybody! Beginning today, 6/04/16,and ending August 4, you may begin submitting your summer-themed poetry to this forum. Here are the rules:
1.) Post your entries in this forum only. You may either add the poem as an attachment (like a link or something) or put the poem under spoiler tags, like this:
This is just so the pages of this forum don't get too long 3nodding
2.) Limit is 2 entries per person
3.) Your poem(s) must have something to do with summer, but this won't be super strict: it can just have some summery vibes in there. As long as it's somewhat related to the season, it's welcome here!
4.) Poem length must be under 2 pages on a typical Word document. This is just a guideline so you all will be submitting regular poems & not epics. Any style is welcome.
5.) Feel free to comment on other people's entries, but be friendly & supportive. And have fun!
Here are the prizes:
There will be three winners chosen on August 4th. Poetry will be judged by creativity, word flow, meaning, and articulation (but I know this is all subjective so just write from the heart!)
First place:1 billion gold & art of an avi/OC of your choice. Second place: 1 billion gold Third place: a Random Item Generator (RIG)

So I'm new, and haven't written poetry in a while. Here's something I quickly flowed out, hopefully it makes sensesweatdrop
Dear her.
Morning dew collects sunlit honey the gentle steps of a sweetness attract the wandering drops
Droplets collect, stick, travel on the sweetness The liquid rubs down and around her calloused toes Trapping scent and dirt where it goes
Her ears p***k, swivel, scanning eyes A sudden supple breeze Droplets stick to another sweetness And travel with dirtiness transporting minerals to new hovels
They join, dash away into the sunlit forest where succulent leaves begin to beat back summer heats They touch legs every fourth stride
They skip, not run, they saunter and sashay Over Stubborn Growth Life is bursting for these females
They dip and glimmer off into sunlit honey dew drops.

When flowers bloom there scent trails along the summer breeze. Bare toes on hot sand crunching, feeling each grain with hundreds of nerve cells on along the arch of a delicate foot. The bonfires explosive warmth gives a soothing sting across the cool night air. Let your flesh delight in the night of summer.
