Well, he was here.
The light on the Denny's sign was starting to flicker, buzzing sounds making Shiloh pause when he really needed to be focused. He had a mission here. He had s**t to do.
He had some goddamn punk to punch, even if that punk totally helped his headphone situation, whoever they were. Ace. That was all he really had to go by, and it wasn't really much. He angrily hammered out another text.
TEXT to: Ace im not goin 2 b deuce nmore >: ( Whatever, it didn't matter. They'd be around here somewhere (purple hoodie, purple hoodie) and he was definitely looking. He'd committed to this after all. At least the actual restaurant didn't seem that busy.
shibrogane im ready for his a** to get kicked

"Why are you so mad that I knew your name," asked Sunny, hands swallowed up in her pockets so deep that only a scant inch of her forearms were visible. "I mean… it's… kind of stupid." She had found herself a nice piece of curb to sit on, and had her hair tucked into her hood. "Like… really stupid."

The voice made him jump, and he swore under his breath when he turned and saw Sunny there. Purple hoodie, check, so this was the b*****d huh? Shiloh was sizing her up. She didn't look too impressive, he could totally take her.
Except, she was really calm. Actually, she was really blazay about the whole thing. It sort of stood to piss Shiloh off more. "Because I don't know you!" he snapped back, obviously peeved. She looked kind of young. Did she go to his school? Knew him by proxy? One of Oliver's buddies that he didn't know about? Something seemed a little off though, what with the number service and...
Well, he wouldn't be so suspicious, but there had definitely been some weird s**t going on lately. Whatever; he'd survived the Moonwalkers, and he'd survived that trip through hell. He could take whatever this was.
"And I'm. Not. Stupid!" wow, he actually sounded a little hurt there, even if Sunny wasn't calling him stupid outright. "Wouldn't you be weirded out and pissed too?!—HEY why are you SITTING DOWN you're supposed to FIGHT ME!"

Sunny got up like it was a chore, and it kind of was. She was tired, after all. "'Kay," she said. "I dunno. Everyone who comes looking for me always already knows me." She paused for a moment, and then shed her hoodie, leaving it to cover her piece of curb. This wouldn't take long. "I was sitting because I was tired," she said. "Come on if you're hard enough."

The hoodie came off, and she was still being so damn laid back and lackadaisical about the whole thing. Shiloh probably should've taken it as a warning sign, but he didn't. He'd charged at werewolverines and s**t already a couple times, so this honestly couldn't be much worst right?
No words, no nothing. Shiloh glared, hand balling tightly into a fist. Was he hard enough? Hell yeah he was hard enough.
He was also stupid enough to swing his fist at Sunny's jaw. Mistake number one was instigating this fight, but throwing the actual punch was definitely mistake number two.

Sunny let it happen. The punch slammed into her face, and her head whipped to the side, and her shoulders jerked with the force of it--and she paused there for a long moment, long after the momentum of the follow-through had bled out. She straightened back up and squared her shoulders. "Okay?" Sunny sighed. "C'mon. I thought we were fighting."

Well, Shiloh really wasn't sure what he was expecting.
A punch back, at least? Or that they'd at least look a little scuffed? Or that she'd turn around and beat his a** but at least it'd be a reaction. Not... whatever this was.
So he stood there, wide eyed and caught off guard for the longest of moments, even after Sunny taunted him. This just... felt wrong.
"I thought so too," his fist was still balled, and he was looking at her wearily, "It ain't a fight if you don't try'n fight back..."

She sighed. Then she reached up and gave Shiloh a lackadaisical push. "Take that," she said. "You're not a threat to me. Why should I pretend?"

"Well then why the hell did you even agree?!" Shiloh shoved her right back, not nearly as lazy but definitely without the venom of the previous punch. "Look. Now you're goin'n wasting everyone's time." Not that Shiloh had anything better to be doing.
He huffed, frustrated. Maybe he'd try this again. "Are you going to tell me how the hell do you know me?" his voice was even, but tense.

"You wanted to fight me," said Sunny. "I don't have anything better to do than oblige you." She reached over and flicked his ear. "You left your notebook visible in your picture, Shiloh." Untrue, but teenage boys were stupid.

"Well yeah I wanted to fight you but we never actually fought." he looked down at his fist. Maybe it hadn't been the strongest punch in the world, but he still put a lot behind it, and Sunny barely even flinched.
He quieted down at her explanation, like he was thinking really hard. "But I..." he furrowed his brow. Did he? The picture had already been long deleted from his phone, so it wasn't like he could go back to check. Did he even write his name on his notebooks? s**t, now that he was trying to think about it, he couldn't really remember for sure.
"I-I just don't understand how you can be so calm after getting hooked in the face..." Shiloh mumbled, starting to diffuse.

"If I fought you, you'd die," said Sunny. "And then Jeremiah would try to arrest me. And he'd die. And then it would just be very bad." She looked up at the flickering light of the Denny's sign, stretched out a hand and wrenched her wrist in an odd way-- and the light stopped flickering. She shrugged at his question. "The body's not real. It's okay to be confused by it."

Shiloh blinked once, then twice, then a third time for good measure.
"Oh." Shiloh didn't know how else to respond to the whole show; Sunny turning the light out (he assumed it was her doing, anyway), the nonchalant comment about her body not being real...
Ding dong hello, "You're not..." what? Human? She sure acted human, looked human. She knew about Jeremiah, and she didn't seem malicious. Then again, did everything from the other side have to be malicious? He frowned a little at the realization that Otherworld was becoming a normal go-to answer in his brain for all the indescribable things in Ashdown.
"I think I get it..." he didn't really, but Sunny was the type to dodge questions, if his previous conversations with here had been anything to go by.
"Maaaaan, 'n I was all excited to get a good scuff in. Y'know you can tell people to ******** off instead of agreeing when you don't wanna."

Sunny shrugged at him. "I don't know," she said. "You were pretty mad. I thought getting to hit me would help."

Shiloh looked absolutely dumbfounded.
"Dude," he shook his head, incredulous, "Hitting someone isn't— that's ********! Like, okay, if they don't hit you back. You don't just beat people up if they don't defend themselves. That's just— just dirty." he frowned, feeling even worse than he had when he first came here.
It sounded like something Jamie would say, actually. Maybe that's why it bothered him; but he'd never beat up Jamie either, not ever. Still, he was the timid type to never fight back. This chick? She could probably kick his a**, and why she didn't raise a fist back was beyond him, her threats there or not. Shiloh awkwardly scratched the back of his neck.
"Like, a good brawl to get frustration out is... is a thing people do, but it's gotta be mutual y'know? Consent, like," he was grasping for words and gesticulating with his hands as he did so, "I don't know. You don't get it I guess."
