One either went big, or got hurt.

4 + 9 = 13, full dmg 7.5/29 HP left Saraf attempts to hit Biroki. Saraf needs: 10 + 10 = 20 to HIT Biroki Saraf's attack: 13 + 11 = 23, hits Saraf's Dmg: ( 13 + 9 )/2 = 11 dmg ***** Saraf was barely within the arena when he was suddenly engulfed in flames that caused him to stumbled back, using his sword to ward off the flames best that he could. Once they'd died down he was already feeling quite terrible, not to mention singed. Teeth barred he looked toward his opponent... and found himself face to face with a magic wielding Shifter. His eyes went for a moment wide... and then narrowed. Another one? Bah! How he hated them... of course he'd end up in a battle against one of their tribe during the tournament he thought to himself. Shaking his head he lifted his sword before he started forward toward the Shifter as quickly as he would with the wounds that he'd been given in the first attack of the battle, before taking a swing at the one before him.

Delayed Elemental Blast (lightning) will go off in 3 turns! ----- Just because his attack had been highly effective didn't mean that Biroki could not still be cautious in the long run. He chose to send out another blast of flame instead of dodge... and to charge the air around them with invisible threads of magic. They shimmered, miragelike, in the air around Saraf, building in power even as they threw off the occasional glowing spark...

Saraf Forfeits.
Another powerful blast of fire and the already singed Saraf was knocked off his feet, landing in a heap on his back. He laid there for a moment, starring at the bright blue sky over head... before he gave a hissing sound. This was a test, wasn't it? It seemed as though one of the Gods or Goddesses was testing him, to see if he could face off against a more powerful Shifter and back down when it was time or not. Would he continue to push it even though he was singed from the earlier spells and keep up the fight? Not something he wanted to consider.
Pushing himself up to his feet Saraf gave a wince, the many magic based wounds making his whole body ache all over. He gave his wounds a once over, leaning over to sweep up his sword, and for a moment starred at the Shifter. It was tempting to try again, to attempt to strike again... but as injured as he was he doubted he could keep on his feet let alone fight the guy he'd only hit once.
Lifting a hand up he rubbed it against his bad eye before he waved a hand, "Alright, alright, you win." He said, forfeiting the battle. He was sure it had to be Nerad, King of the Gods and the one in charge of judgement who was testing him and he wanted to do the right thing... unlike his disastrous run in with that Leaf Tribeswoman. Turning on his heel he headed for the exit, off to see out a healer and something to eat and drink.
