((Note: This is a slow-private RP with Amaya and Bobby. Please do not post unless you have permission from BOTH Kit and ELF.... thank you kindly! <3 ))

Bobby was feeling fairly good today. She regularly found herself at the cafeteria....what could she say? The woman liked to cook! Well, most of her "cooking" was more so a mixing of pre-made food since she hadn't been able to find the stove or oven lately. Today, Bobby was working on a gourmet salad as well as a strange meat casserole that wasn't coorperating as well.

The woman, not at all discouraged from the failings of the casserole, was whistling some up-beat country tunes to herself... a strange sight for a woman as dark as Bobby.

After her talk with Joliette, Amaya had pretty much paniced and ran back to her duplex. Colche. She HAD to find Colche. Though it didn't help that she had gotten disoriented in the jungle before finding her way back to her room.

Once there she threw off her rather revealing shorts and put on her baggy red cargo pants. She hated how low they sat, but they covered a lot more then her shorts. After securing a belt to make sure they didn't fall down she ran back out.

... Though she had no luck finding Colche.

The iguana wasn't sure how long she had searched up and down the duplexes, but it had given her quiet a gurgling stomach. Had she even eaten breakfast? She couldn't recall.

Without thinking she pushed opened the double doors to the cafeteria, ready to grab a salad and stuff it down her face before running back off again.

But there was someone very new and very human standing at the food line.

Amaya's body seemed to lock up, her tail going rigid behind her and her green eyes going wide as she stared. Her mind seemed to shut off as well, preventing her from thinking about running or screaming or making any kind of greeting.

Bobby was finishing up the last touches of her casserole -finally!- when she head the doors. Turning, with some cheese in her hand, the woman saw the new arrival. Even though she was taken aback by the stark contrast (all she had seen up to that point were furry islanders) of the girl, Bobby's welcoming face and smiling eyes hid the emotions.

"Well hello, there... did you want something to eat? I've prepared a salad," she nodded to the table closest to her that had a large salad bowl resting on it, "and I am just finishing up this casserole!"

Without waiting for a reply, Bobby turned back to her creation, setting the excess on the corner of the second tray. She grabbed some fruit and silverware and then went to sit at the table where the salad was waiting.

Amaya seemed to snap out of her daze when the woman smiled at her. Thankfully she must have known about the island or she would have been a lot more freaked out. Thank god. She went to walk foreward, albeit shyly when-

SLAM!

The girl froze, the doors having finally shut behind her from when she shoved them open... and her tail had landed right bewteen the doors. Her mouth opened and a tiny, painful squeak emitted from her scaley mouth. She took a step back to lax her tail, turning around to slowly look at it.

"Ahhhhaaa..." She whimpered and crouched down, pushing one of the doors open and sliding her tail out from between them... leaving a trail of blood behind.

Thankfully the end hadn't detached, else she would have fainted, but there was a line clear around it that was bleeding slightly and a bruise was developing around the damaged area.

"Owieeeeee..." Amaya whinned like the child she was, tears brimming in her eyes even though it wasn't very painful.

Bobby jumped up when she heard the door, and then the lizard-girl whimper. Immediately she thought that the other was shot, but when she looked back, her instincts kicked in. "Oh no..." Bobby crooned as she sprinted towards Amaya.

Very gently, Bobby took a hold of the girl's tail and blew very gently on the wound to try and get a feel for what to do. Reaching into her pockets, she pulled out some salve and bandages - she didn't go anywhere without them due to her hands- and carefully wrapped the tail.

After inspecting her work, the woman stood and smiled down at Amaya, "There we go... and I have some pain relievers if it gets too bad..." Bobby let the words hang on air, for she just realized what she had done -the lizard-girl hadn't asked for her help and yet she had just bandaged her tail.... what if she was very nervous about all that?

Bobby couldn't say anything else, she just watched Amaya sheepishly to see her reaction.

The lizard's tail twitched slightly as it was bandaged good as new. She could only stare as the woman didn't even hesitate to do such a thing. Did she know what was really going on and just was really brave and nice? That had to be it... else she would have thought her tail was incapable of bleeding.

When the woman was done she could only blink at her in awe. Maybe being outside wouldn't be that bad... if the people you happened to bump into were this nice. "Th-Thank you." Amaya said, her tail picking itself up so the bandages didn't get dirty on the floor.

Slowly she stood up, fidgetting with her freakishly long fingers... as was the custom when she was nervous. Her large, pink tongue flickered. "My names Amaya." The girl said timidly, looking up at the kind woman.

Bobby smiled, glad that she hadn't stepped over some unseen boundaries with the girl. When the girl offered her name, the woman smiled broadly, "And I am Bobby."

Motioning towards the table, Bobby took Amaya's hand and settled it into the crook of her arm, where she also patted the scaly-nailed fingers. "Now, you look a mess... I know the perfect solution to almost any problem.... foood!"

The woman smiled broadly while her own stomach rumbled angrily. With a childish grin, Bobby giggled a little, "I admit, I am very hungry..." She winked as the approached the table.

Amaya was still in a little bit of surprise, allowing herself to be lead towards the food the woman had been preparing seconds before she burst into the room. She wasn't really used to being treated like this... not since after her third change and especcially not by someone who was completely human that she had never seen before.

"Yeah." She smiled, eyeing the salad Bobby made. "Food sounds really good right now." Her smile broadened a little. It was taking a little bit more concentration to keep her bandaged tail off the ground then she thought. Normally she let the new limb drag behind her... it never really bothered her.

Bobby helped Amaya sit down and patted the girl's shoulder. She hadn't known what... an iguana? -the woman wasn't quite sure on the type of reptile- might eat, but seeing the girl eye the salad gave her an idea. "You enjoy the salad, I'll work on the casserole!"

Moving to the other side, and holding the strangely-made casserole, Bobby grabbed a fork and took a bite. She would have offered some, but wasn't sure how Amaya would take an offering of meat.

Amaya turned the chair around and sat on it backwards, allowing her tail to cascade off the back of it and gently lay on the ground behind her.

Her tongue flickered and she eyed the salad before picking up a fork rather awkwardly with two of her long, clawed fingers. She stabbed at the food and took a bite, only speaking up and looking over at Bobby once she had swallowed.

"Thanks... for everything." The iguana's smile became more genuine, the only indication that she was really female being her voice. She paused for a moment, her tongue giving another flick as if she was thinking of how to word what she wanted to say. "I'm not used to people being so... nice. Not when I've never met them and they're new to the island."

Her voice was still timid and quite, despite her smile.

Bobby smiled at Amaya. Her generally happy-face turned to one of almost complete and utter sadness. It was obvious she had left a lot behind, and was failing at the moment to not think about such things... which just made things worse for the woman. "We're all going through a rough time here. It is my pleasure to try and help you, I would do it without hesistation."

Her face dropped some of the sadness, although it stayed in her eyes. "Now, why is it people aren't nice to you? You look like a beautiful young woman, there should be no excuse!" Bobby winked, giving Amaya the same 'speech' that she was known to give to her own daughters.

Amaya would have blushed if it were still physically possible. Her smile broadened a little for a small moment, knowing full well that she looked nothing like a "beautiful young woman" anymore... not like she had before all this, but it was still a nice thing to hear. It made her feel more human then she was.

She knew that demeanor, though... it's how she had initially approached the island too. Granted, not many people were changed beyond their first injection and looked as bad off as her. But she could tell the woman was making her fear, frustration, and the overall bizzarness of the whole situation into something she could deal with by using a carefree approach. She didn't blame her.

"How long have you been here?" The girl asked after a couple more bites of her salad. It couldn't have been too long, since she hadn't changed yet. Did Moreau drag a whole new wave of people to the island? Probably. She frowned, knowing that most if not all of them save for Bobby would react to seeing her in a bad way... even if they did know of the island.

Taking a bite out of her casserole, Bobby pondered the question. How long had she been here? It felt like years day, but it wasn't that long, for sure. Either way, she had been there far too long and missed her family dearly, "I think a couple weeks.... I've lost track of the days already. Any day here is too long, if you ask me." The woman sighed.

Bobby didn't like talking about their imprisonment so much, but she couldn't run and hide from it either... one day, she'd have to come to terms with it.

Amaya silently agreed, though a couple of weeks made perfect sense due to the woman's entirely human appearance. She caught the sigh, an indication that such a topic wasn't a very good one. But what else were they to talk about? If she started up any conversation about the woman it would undoubtedly be sad... she had just been ripped from her life.

"I'm sorry." The reptile knew it did little to comfort someone in such a situation, but she had to say it. She was sorry, deeply... If only she could somehow do something for these poor people. Why didn't Moreau pick more people like her? Someone who had nothing to lose? The p***k probably enjoyed thinking up lies and cons to get people to his sick little island.

Bobby almost kicked herself for her own incompetence. Of course, what else was there to talk about that wouldn't remind them all of the lives they left behind? Trying to pick the conversation up, the woman pushed such thoughts to the back of her mind. As if the girl didn't have enough to think about, Bobby's misfortunes should not be added to her own.

"So, what is there to do around? I've seen a little, but not much else." Bobby was picking as the last bits of her casserole. Almost shocked, she couldn't help but think where it all went; could she really have eaten all that?
