Copper eyes stared down at the world of activity below. Claw flexed and fangs poked out from behind lips. The prey was not ten feet of distance and muscles were ready to pounce. After a tense moment the muscles worked in a frenzy as the owner moved with a blinding speed with claws outstretched and fangs bared. Within seconds the thrill of the hunt turned into satisfaction as the prey was pinned to the earth and the victors tail thrashed from side to side as the prey attempted to wiggle free. There was a moment when it seemed nothing the prey could do would lead to its escape from it's hunter, then one last tug gave it freedom.
Hania gave a meow before pouncing at the string wiggling before him tauntingly. The child holding the string gave a loud giggle as the guardian cat batted determinedly in attempt to catch his prey once again before holding it higher. This continued for some time before the child was called away by her parents and the cat was left alone once again. The black cat sat on one of the park benches and cleaned a paw while thinking of what he would do next.
He had wondered parts of the city in case there was a Senshi in need of awakening this morning, took a nap about noon when he hadn't come across said possible Senshi, and just now had played with a lonely little girl in the park. He was rather thankful that the little girl was not a Senshi though as he didn't think he would be very thrilled to awaken a chibi Senshi quite that young. How he was left with little else to do besides maybe patrolling again. It was an important job but it was a frustrating one at times.
On one paw he was glad that he didn't find a Senshi in need of awakening since it meant that they weren't necessarily needed in the war against chaos and could lead normal lives for a time. On the other paw it meant he was practically useless for now other then scouting for youma or other chaos agents and calling it in so a Senshi or a Knight could come in and defeat them. He could never fully decide on how he felt on these points but in the end put it from his mind since he couldn't do anything about it anyway so there was no use in pondering.
After another few minutes of mulling things over the guardian cat got to his feet and gracefully leapt down onto the ground before setting out. If he was going to thing about things he couldn't control then he might as well do it while being useful and doing that patrol. He swished his tail, causing the feather tied to it to twirl around in the air, and headed towards a part of the city he hadn't been to earlier in the day. Maybe he would get lucky and something will happen this time. Knock on wood that it's a good something though.
