Harmotome had just propelled herself off a nearby building, riding the high that came from the satisfaction of thrashing a large group of challengers. Also claiming the spoils. Rightfully taking their energy as prize. She had gotten a little too over zealous though, and miscalculated where she was to land---

Instead of a nearby solid roof top, she instead crashed through the ceiling of a glass building. On top of that, she landed in a large row of ferns. The lieutenant was a bit winded, and uttered a low string of what was definitely cursing in her native tongue as she sucked in some air. She made a face at the extra bit of glass shards that rained on her from above, and then sucked in another breath, grimacing. Gross. It was really hot in here---where ever here was---

She flipped herself onto her feet and out of the ferns, scowling as she brushed the glass bits, leaves, and dirt off of her uniform. Glancing around, she deducted she was in a green house of sorts. Ah. A plant nursery, apparently, from the wide variety she could see---

Harmotome stiffened though as she felt it---that weird sensation she was getting used that let her know another powered individual was nearby.

"...Oi!" She called out. "Vhere are yuu?"

When she caught sight of him, she wasn't sure what she was more baffled by. The lack of clothing, his appearance---were those scales?, or the fact he was under a bunch of heat emitting lights. Oh, America. So many strange and wondrous things.

"No minding." She replied, drawing closer, her fists resting on her hips as she surveyed him and this set up with a jutted out lip and knitted brows. "Vhat are yuu busy doing, exactly? Are yuu---ah---tanning?" It was asked, but sounded incredibly skeptical he should want to do it here. "And vhat are tese?" She reached out and with no regard for personal space, ran her fingers over the scales on one of his hands.

This was all weird. Or interesting. Or both.

Harmotome looked surprised to feel his skin, and despite being under the lamps on a rock, his temperature was not that of someone who was sitting under such a contraption. He was like...a reptile or something. "Ah---" She then leaned forward, so that she could peer at his eyes, her brows furrowed. "How can yuu not see vell? Yuu have eyes, Mister Half Yuuma Snake---also, yuu are cool, how did yuu become half snake?"

She then poked his cheek, just to see if the scales there were real too.

Harmotome let out a scoffed sound of amusement, despite the fact he was pushing her face away---his cool hand did feel nice on her face after being so close to the heat lamps. "Have yuu even had girlfriend, yet? Yuu are so scrawny!"

She then let out a sound of acknowledgement at this explanation, even if she wasn't entirely sure what that meant. She was still learning a lot. Apparently agents could mix with the monsters though, and that was interesting. Also, interesting, was that he couldn't see. Well, see like she could see. "Termal?" She asked. "Your vision---" She looked down, to indeed see him poking her chest. She puffed out her chest proudly, her hands on her hips briefly. "Ja! Tey should be hot, and no---" She grabbed the hand that was poking her with both of her own, and took this to examine the scales again more closely, fascinated.

"Vhat is your name, scrawny snake boy?"

Harmotome let out a derisive snort, and cocked her head to regard him, her eyes narrowing a bit.

There was a pause on her part, and silence, and after a moment she decisively planted a hand on his chest and pushed him back down onto the rock. Her other hand went back to her hip as she partially leaned over him, grinning slightly, though he couldn't see it.

"Yuu can not fight your own battles, Pyrophanite?" She inquired, amused, her voice almost a purr. "My name is Harmotome."

She didn't feel at all threatened, and only wistful that she couldn't yet teleport. She also couldn't help but snicker. The lieutenant caught and righted herself with ease from the push, still snickering.

"Yuu vould know." She replied, grinning, and rested her fists on her hips again, watching him get comfy back under the lamps. "Yuu also act like huffy cat." Her shoulders shook a bit more, and it was obvious she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. "Did yuu get bitten by snake monster on purpose? Seems more inconvenient tan actually good."

"Do yuu mean on a farm?" She grinned at the captain.

"I know my English is lacking, but vhat is your excuse, Captain Amber Alert?" At the answer, the lieutenant took to flopping on her bottom, and sprawled with her legs stretched out in front of her. It was clearly an indicator that, still, she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. "Uh huh?" She cocked her head at him, and pushed one of her braids back over her shoulder.

"Vas...best-ee about to be attacked by youma, and yuu...hmmm...ate it?"

"Then say in the first time and not on, duh, captain."

"No. I have fulfilled my quota, so now I am...killing time? By talking to yuu. Lucky yuu!" But the lieutenant did not go away, no. She stayed behind him, peering at him, waiting for her questions to get answered. "Is that how it vorks? Yuu eat youma and then yuu get powers?"
