Game will be held on: May 28th, starting at 3pm EST and continues on until the game's end.
After the end of the first play, the auditorium has been left set up, so that other students may try their hand at improving through a storyline. However, the stage will be torn down during the night, so they only have one day! There's only a limited number of costumes though, so once the roles are filled that's it. It looks like there's only enough for 10 to try their hand at this!
The first round of Werewolf was held by Yushika, and can be found here.
If you do not know how to play werewolf, I will both explain it and leave a helpful site that helps explain it here: click me
What you need to know:
■ You must have Skype in order to play.
■ Only 10 players will be allowed in this round.
■ If less than 8 players sign up, the game will be cancelled.
■ Yes, staff may choose to participate!
■ If you must leave before the game's end, you may have someone stand in your place and complete the game for you. You must give them permission to continue to rp your character for you, however.
■ If you must leave and do not have a proxy, your character will be killed off the following morning, but you will be allowed to take home a participation prize so long as you were here for the majority of the game.
■ You are not to reveal your role. Doing so will result in this game ending instantly, with no prizes rewarded to anyone, and depending on my temperament, perhaps a ban on any games I host in the future. Cheating ruins this game for everyone.
■ Lying and backstabbing are common in this game, however. Going "Nono, don't kill me! I'm not a Werewolf! I saw Yushika looking shifty earlier, why not hang them?" Even if you are in fact a werewolf is completely acceptable within gameplay. It's all in good fun.
■ If I see obvious signs of harassment though, I will end the game. If you're experiencing an issue with anyone during the gameplay, please private message me on Gaia or skype and I will do what I can to fix it <3
How this round will be played:
■ Once sign ups close, I will hold a roll call, quoting everyone that signed on. You will have fifteen minutes to respond and report to me on skype.
■ I will make a group chat that will include everyone, called The Village.
■ I will then use a random number generator to assign specific roles. People with particular roles will be told privately, on skype.
■ After roles are assigned, I will make a second chat, for just the Werewolves. Werewolves are to stay in both group chats and participate in both.
■ Decisions will be made by vote on skype. Werewolves will tell me, in their personal group chat, who they're attacking that night. And Villagers will vote on who to hang.
■ For other specific roles, I will contact them privately on skype as needed. Or they may contact me privately as needed.
■ In this game thread I will post flavor text as each day begins. (Who died during the night, etc.) Everyone will have to post in this thread, in character, responding.
■ Once a decision has been made on who to hang, they may plead their case in this thread, in character. If the majority of people recant their vote, in character, in this thread, the execution will be stayed and no one will die that day.
■ I will reveal a person's role upon their death post.
■ I will not be revealing how many wolves are in play in total.
■ A Werewolf win is determined by all remaining villagers being werewolves.
■ A Villager win is determined by all werewolves being eliminated.
■ In the event of a Scratch game (never seen one but *shrug*) I'll count it as 'we all suck' and everyone will be added to the drawings for all prizes.
How to play Werewolf (quick start guide):
In Werewolf, you have a village populated with people of different roles, and a turn of the game is divided into two parts; a day and a night.
The goal of the game is for one team to eliminate the other, typically through skill of manipulation. Werewolves vs. Villagers. Each team will have an opportunity to kill off someone during a round. For Werewolves is happens at night, and for Villagers it happens during the day.
The first Day is setting up the story and perhaps a chance for roles like the Doctor to act.
The first Night will be the Werewolves' first chance to strike. They may choose to kill someone during the night. Once a decision is reached, all other situational roles are resolved and the turn ends.
The second Day will result in revealing who died, and perhaps what role they played. The village will have a chance to react to the death, and vote on whether or not to hang someone they suspect of being a werewolf. If they decide to hang someone, I will post again and the person accused will have a chance to say some final words.
I will wait 15 minutes after their post, if a majority of people demand they be cut down, that person will not be killed and the village forfeits their turn to hang someone during the day.
If 15 minutes passes and the majority demands blood or remains silent, I will take it as assent and that person will hang and be eliminated from play. Their role might be revealed after their death.
The game continues in this manner until either all villagers or all werewolves are destroyed.
Roles being used in this round:
■ Villager. Standard role. During the day you'll get to vote on who to hang, and will sleep at night.
■ Werewolf. During the night you will transform, and with your brethren may choose to kill a villager to slake your hunger. During the day you will pretend to be a villager and participate in all villager aspects of life, including voting on who to hang during the day turn.
■ Seer. A villager that has Sight. At the end of each day, you may privately ask me on skype about another villager. I will reveal their role to you.
■ Matchmaker. You may choose two people to fall in love. You may only do this once during the entire game. I will notify the two lovebirds of their condition. If one should perish, they both will die.
■ Vigilante. You have the unique power of choosing to kill any player without it going to vote. You may only do this once during the entire game, and if you end up killing a fellow villager and not a werewolf, the second bullet in that gun is for yourself, out of guilt. You may also choose to stay at home and arm yourself.
