"Hmmph!"
Pearl just could not see the novelty of this planet. As she wandered the woods, retching back in disgust whenever a part of her body brushed a planet or at the sight of any fauna, her bad mood just seem to swell. It wasn't from the fact she had landed on Earth and found herself separated from her mistress (that was a dilemma, yes), but from the fact this planet zero color coordination!
She would turn one way at there were would just be an awful lot of different shades of green, she turn another and there would be blue against brown from the river's water lapping at its banks. It was absolutely dreadful! And don't get her started on the humans and their pointy sticks!
"Just looking around is a headache," the gem thought as she daintily stepped over a pile of dead leaves. "Goodness, where are you, my lady? I want to get back to Homeworld as soon as possible, ahhh..."

Angel gazed at her surroundings, this planet was definitely a lot different than her beloved homeward. "It's so hot I might melt!" she whined. The sun beating down on her sensitive skin made her cringe.
She sat on her tree branch, taking in everything around her, the trees, the sky, and the odd shaped white things that floated about. "I wonder what these are called, I'm sure I know... Ah floofs, that must be it!" she smiled, amazed at her own genius.
She was contemplating how she was going to make it home when something caught her attention, she looked in the direction of the mysterious movement. "Hello? Is someone there?" she called out.

Pearl stopped mid-trek and glanced around, hugging arms around her bosom. What now? Was the forest talking to her?
Could this planet get anymore creepy?
"I-it is I, Pearl!" she said, her lips pursing as she felt a shiver pass through her form. "I am a gem of my matriarch, Blue Diamond! Who... are you?"Missy-Kun Btw, I wanted to ask what diamond is Angel associated with? o: I was thinking if they were in league with the same one, they would recognize each other. Not personally, just her face. If she isn't with any or you haven't decided, that's fine~

Angel was elated, finally someone she knew, at least a little bit.
"Pearl! It's me Angel, Angel Aura Quartz to be exact!" she screamed, louder than necessary but she couldn't hide her excitement, she was beyond bored at this point. Hours alone in an unknown place can drive a gem insane.
"I can see you, wait there, I'm on my way!" she exclaimed as she jumped down from her branch.
It didn't take long to reach Pearl, she was only 20, at most 30, feet from the branch where Angel was previously resting. As she reached the Gem she smiled. "Hello!"
Unoderi I was actually thinking she was associated with Blue Diamond, so it works! biggrin

Pearl had to take a moment to make sure her ears weren't deceiving her. So it wasn't the forest after all! Letting out a breath, a smile curved its way on her pale pink face from relief.
"Angel Aura, hello!" she greeted with a curtsy at the sight of the gem. She wasn't personally associated with her, but being part of the same court, she had recognized her face some. Suddenly, her face turned to one of incredulity. "What are you doing here? Earth isn't exactly the most elegant place to spend time on." She crinkled her nose and slapped a leaf from a bush away from her face. "Are you lost as well?"

Angel returned Pearl's curtsey, as was the polite and proper thing to do.
"Actually, I don't really remember how I got here." she explained, her absent-mindedness had shown itself once again.
"But I do agree, this planet is... Well I don't remember the word, but it's not good, not good at all!" she giggled at her forgetfulness.
"Why are you here?" she questioned, hoping that the answer would spark her own memory.

Pearl's smile waned upon hearing Angel's lack of reasoning for being on the planet. Not because she was displeased, but concerned—it was a little alarming to hear her fellow gem didn't know why she was there in the first place.
What if she was caught up in trouble?
Before Pearl let such thoughts get the better of her, she replied a bit sheepishly, "I was... separated from our court, ahaha. Ships of our matriarch landed here, carrying with them numerous gems for exploration and scouting. I was with my mistress, tending to her needs, when I was pulled along with the fray and found myself abandoned here in this part of the woods. I've been wandering for hours trying to find another member of the exploration team, but to no avail. I am completely lost on this awful planet."

Angel immediately noticed Pearl's disposition change due to her memory issues.
"Oh don't worry my friend, I just forget very easily, come to think of it, I might have been sent here to explore, then again I may just be lost. Either way I'm glad I found you!" she smiled, hoping to bring some reassurance to her new friend.
"Well either way I think we should go look for a ship, don't you?" she smiled, the kind of genuine smile that displayed how much of a friend she already considered Pearl.
"Well, shall we?" she asked.

While Angel's reassurances lifted her spirits a bit, Pearl still couldn't help her concern. Yet, such feelings were dashed aside when her fellow gem offered to come along with her on her search for the ship.
"Oh goodness, yes, let's!" she said, also cried out. She mirrored Angel's smile, but it dropped when she glanced down to her own feet, then in either direction they could travel in. "Which... way should we go? I daresay, I feel like I've traveled in and haven't taken a step in either direction. This planet is so confusing!" She glared at the greenery and looked to Angel hopelessly. "Could you lead the way? I feel like my gem may crack if I keep muddling over this dilemma. I'm just so frustrated."

Angel was excited for the adventure ahead, she didn't know what was in store and that excited her.
"Wait here a second, let me get a feel for which way we should go." she explained. This was the perfect opportunity to use her ability out. With a quick blink she teleported up a tree, from branch to branch.
"I think I see a ship!" she exclaimed."It's that way" she pointed, knowing very well that Pearl couldn't see her.
She teleported down quickly and with a huge smile over her face. "Follow me!" she yelled behind her, already running in the direction of the object she'd seen above.

The gem could only look on, dumbfounded, as Angel worked in quick succession by gaining height and spotting what was likely the ship she was looking for. When she raced on ahead, Pearl blinked herself back to reality and was quick on her feet to catch up; barely giving a passing glance to the bush she brushed against that, if she hadn't rushed after Angel, would've haughtily slapped away.
"A-Angel, w-wait!" the Pearl cried, her hand extended to her back, but the distance was too great for her to make a grab at the other. It didn't help that, the more she ran, the wider that distance seemed to grow between her and the quartz. "Waaait! I can't.... run... as fast as... you!"

Angel's excitement almost made her lose her precious friend, she stopped abruptly once she fully realized exactly how fast she was running, she had easily gained 50 feet on the small gem.
"I'm so sorry!" she quickly apologized. She frowned, at this point slightly upset with herself for not paying more attention. She quickly teleported towards the Gem, it was much easier than waiting for her to catch up.
"I'm sorry again Pearl," she began."I forgot how small you were." she explained.
"Would you like to... uh... ride on my back?" she hesitated slightly, not wanting to seem impatient, she wanted her friend to have a worry-free ride there, not seem like she didn't want to run slowly just to make sure Pearl was able to catch up.
"I don't mind running slower if you'd like to run yourself, I was just trying to think of the quickest way to get there." she finally said, explaining her thoughts fully. She stared at the small gem, awaiting a response.

"It's... I-it's okay," Pearl replied, slightly out of breath. "I'm just not used to so much physical labor... I am definitely not a gem for these types of activity. Matriarch bless the exploration team, ahh..."
After collecting her bearings and fixing her disturbed attire, Pearl tried to stand straight and address Angel again, but her next question caused her usually straight-laced expression to falter. She flushed a little; balling a fist and clearing her throat. The gem wasn't used to such familiarity, but at the same time, her overt desire to be off that planet as soon as possible inclined her towards the positive.
"Actually... I-I would appreciate that, thank you, Angel Aura," she said. "The ride, I mean. The quicker, the better, as they say, ahaha..."

Angel smiled, she was grateful to have someone else in this dreaded place, even if they didn't know each other well she could tell they were quite similar. The prospect of having her first real friend excited her, a friend that she could share all of her secret with, a friend that she could tell everything to and a friend that she could be a listening ear too.
With a quick motion Angel picked pearl up and gently tossed her on her back.
"You ready?" she asked, wanting to make sure her friend was comfortable with her position before she took off.

It truly was... an altogether different experience. Not just being on the other gem, but the height difference; Pearl felt like she could see for miles from her position.
Gently, and awkwardly, she placed her hands on Angel's shoulders to steady herself. "Ah, yes, I am ready," she said nervously. "You can, um, start whenever."
