WELCOME TO THE TOURNAMENT!
The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite and General Xenotime, both of whom are standing off to the sides to monitor.
The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.
OOC RULES:
- You have 72 hours to complete the battle! If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.
- If you have any questions, please contact either Beejoux or kuropeco privately through AIM or PM!
THE MECHANICS
Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

Carminite approached the room where the tournament was being held, hand in his pockets and gait rather casual and relaxed. He wasn't feeling too nervous about the bout, not because he knew his opponent or anything but more because he joined this tournament to help him sink his feet further into the organization, and a competition felt like a good way to do that. Win or lose, he'd be present and surrounded by lots of other officers, and he could start getting familiar with names and faces. Obviously not of everyone, but at least his opponents and the higher ranked agents. So he slipped past the doors and nodded his greeting to the two generals there, both of whom he recognized. It wasn't horribly formal, but he was more focused on the fight to be had so he settled in the center of the room and listened to the instructions, chuckling at the bit about not killing anyone.
It was more or less friendly competition, right? Killing wasn't gonna be an issue...right? A side glance toward to the general made Carminite a little uneasy before he looked across at his opponent. She looked fairly harmless, but there were girls around her size at the gym that could more than give him a run for his money so he wasn't of the opinion that one's looks dictated their abilities in a fight.
"So should I be worried, or...?" he asked her, a hand going up to run through his hair. "I mean. You're not gonna try and kill me, right?"

Lieutenant Reinerite (spectating)Some of the other fights had already wrapped up, by the time that Reinerite was able to get the chance to slip in to watch some of the other matches taking place...
Such as the one with the white haired woman that had been at the Information meeting and had - like her - been recruited into the Negaverse, or the one with the girl with the long pigtails who was a corrupted senshi like Hydra.
Reinerite wasn't sure who had won those particular two matches, although she was curious - especially in the case of the pigtailed kid - however she figured that the results would be announced in time.
Her General - Aurostibite - was also due to be fighting in the matches apparently and Reinerite was hoping to get the chance to watch, although as she went to see if she could see when it was going to take place she noticed that another match was in the starting phases of taking place.
The female Lieutenant was unfamiliar, however she remembered the blond from the Information meeting as the one who had sat next to her (and who had offered her a chocolate muffin).
Perhaps that was why she found herself slipping into a space so that she could watch for at least a little bit, or perhaps it was just curiosity.
Either made, Reinerite settled and made herself comfortable.
Because after all she had the time to.

General Aurostibite (spectating)
He was observing all of the battles, walking around the outer circles of them to see how they were going. Some were quicker than others, coming to a strong, intense conclusion with a clearly defined winner. Others were slower, more meticulous or calculating. Neither was wrong, and Aurostibite liked to see the different methods that people used to achieve their goals.
He came up to one now, standing beside Reinerite, Aurostibite's eyes flickering out across the two opponents in the ring.

Tinaksite honestly wasn’t sure…what she had signed up for. She hadn’t bothered to actually read the flyer, and had put her name down just because she had seen other names there…so when she heard that she would be fighting…fighting…she wasn’t sure what she was honestly going to do. Fighting was not her strong point…and her little…tissue ghost Japan thing…seemed pretty useless. Completely useless.
Her golden eyes widened in mild alarm when the man…or…other lieutenant? Is that what he was? What she was? Well, when he mentioned her killing him. And then…then there were people coming to watch her make a fool of herself. Watch her do this fight…watch her get her butt kicked.
The lieutenant crossed her arms and shrugged stubbornly. “Tinaksite. My name is Tinaksite. I will try not to kill you.”
There. That was a good choice of words. That would do. Maybe. “We fight?”HP: 20

He tried not to think too hard about the people watching, though he did recognize a few more faces in the crowd when he chanced a look. It was no different from a round of boxing at the gym, with other boxers and curious gym members gathering around to watch for fun or sport or out of boredom or...whatever, so he felt right at home.
Especially so when his opponent confirmed that she wasn't out to kill him. Carminite gave the smallest of smiles before nodding. "Good, then let's get this started, shall we?"
He lunged forward then, hand pulled back and balled into a fist ready to strike. It was a very direct attack with no real strategy behind it besides simply attempting to hit the target.

Tinaksite’s head bobbed in agreement…but she hadn’t…hadn’t really been expecting to get…punched right out of the gate! The punch landed on her left shoulder, and the lieutenant let out a soft, surprised little sound of pain. “Oof!” She stumbled backwards, eyes wide with surprise. This really was a fight. She had to fight. She had to hit this guy, he hit her.
He hit her.
“Rude!” After she had gotten her thoughts back together, she lunged at him, hand flat, trying to slap his cheek, trying to teach him some manners.
Hitting a girl wasn’t a nice thing to do! It seemed like it was up to her to really teach him a lesson, so that’s what she would have to do. HP: 16 Damage: 2

General Jarosite - Spectating
He'd elected to not participate in the tourney, if only out of fear of actually breaking someone. That and he wasn't much for sport fighting; lethal force was usually frowned upon.
He wasn't going to let his - his, given he'd corrupted her after all - lieutenant fight without some positive force there. The word was support, that was the word he was looking for. A few others watched the match begin, and Jarosite took a position against the wall, watching with earnest.
It was a good way to gauge where Tinaksite was in terms of combat prowess, or how lucky she was. Her opponent was right to the point, with probably more experience in terms of skill. It would be interesting to watch at least.

Lieutenant Reinerite (spectating)There had been an exchange of words between Carminite and the Lieutenant that he had been paired with, although Reinerite hadn't been close enough to the ring to hear.
She had spotted Aurostibite however and had nodded politely to her General as he came to stand beside her.
There had been a second General that also seemed to be interested in the match, although the blue-haired man standing by the wall wasn't one that she was familiar with.
Not that it meant much however as Reinerite was well aware of the fact that she didn't know that many people in the Negaverse - at least not yet she didn't.
She turned her grey eyes back to the ring in time to see Carminite ball one hand up in a fist and lunge forward at the other Lieutenant.

First hit made fairly solid contact, and he couldn't help but feel at least a little satisfied. Gender was not a thing in any fight, as far as he was concerned, so her "rude" comment was met with a little chuckle, cut short though when he found the need to try and dodge away from an oncoming slap. He wasn't quite fast enough to get completely out of the way, but the result was a less effective slap that thankfully was not at all dizzying. Carminite recovered quickly enough and aimed a one-two combination at her this time.
"What do you mean 'rude'?" he thought to ask mid-punch, a little curious why she joined the tournament if she thought people would be polite during a fight.

The girl scoffed, not even thinking that this deserved an answer. How could it not be rude? Hitting was rude. It was a simple thought…but…
Her eyes landed on the blue haired pirate general who had invited her to this party and Tinaksite’s face lit up. He had come to check on her? He had come to see what she was up to?
…He had come to see her punched twice more. In the gut.
The lieutenant stumbled backwards, hands covering her stomach for a moment, looking pained and confused, not quite comprehending what had happened…but. But now she was angry. “You…!” Her eyes flashed and she raised her own fists, moving swiftly towards Carminite, yelling a battle cry as she aimed to hit him, aimed to hurt him. Aimed to get revenge for her stomach and her shoulder and her whole body.

Carminite bounced in place for a moment, hands up like he was in a regular boxing match and watching his opponent reel from his punches. There was still that edge of satisfaction, though given her slight form he did feel at least a little bad. Enough that he actually put his fists down and stepped forward, about to ask if she was okay until she cried out and retaliated.
Her punch was solid and sent him a couple of steps back with a suppressed groan, obviously more than a little jarred from the impact.. The lieutenant was surprised she had that in her at all, but it felt like more of a fight now. Carminite said as he shook his head a little to rid himself of the dizzy spell she managed to give him, and he lunged once more, this time with his fists aiming square for her face as well.

Tinaksite was in a rage, there was no other word for it. She tried to duck away from his punch. He was aiming for her face after all. Her face! How…ugh! His fist got the top of her head, and she hoped her hard skull would hurt his hand…his hand hurt her skull, that was for sure, but hair would hide any bruising.
The lieutenant raised her hands, in an attempt to distract him, and swung her leg out, hoping to knock him off of his feet. It was something that always worked well in the movies, though she wasn’t quite sure where these ideas were coming from…she just knew that she wanted him on the ground…and she wanted to grind his face in with her foot.
It was only fair, right?HP: 10 Damage: 3

Spectator
He came in quite a bit after the tournament round had started due to having his ribs wrapped. Keyite's ribs ached, but Ceraskia had done a neat job of it, so as long as he sat carefully and didn't try to bring in a full breath he was mostly okay. So the start of his observation of the match between two other lieutenants that he'd never met - or really even heard of - came only after the most amusing bits of verbal sparring were long since over, but in time to see the male lieutenant punch the female in the stomach (though he did not know it was the second blow to the same, tender, location. She retaliated with great vigor and violence despite her accumulated damage, but still, Keyite felt that they were quite unmatched; the woman - apparently called Tinkasite - was going up against a brick s**t-house of a guy that seemed to be called Carminite. Since he knew neither opponent in this match (or much of anyone in the Negaverse at this point), the curly haired lieutenant would not be actively cheering either on, but rather observing to learn more about his peers.
As an archer, he well knew the value of reading one's opponents, and while he was fairly certain he would not be engaging either of these two in mortal combat at any point in his career without another tournament to facilitate such an encounter, he still wanted to measure them up. Even if we do not come together as combatants, knowing the strengths of my peers can be nothing if not useful in the field.

He hit, but barely, and no sooner did he take a step back to try and get another fist in her face did she come right back at him with a kick straight to his legs. He did his best to guard and wound up taking the brunt of the hit with his arm, earning the other lieutenant a quiet, suffering groan from him.
"Nice," he muttered before swiftly moving his arm to try and grab at her ankle, hoping to pull her forward and out of balance.
