Lynx loved to be outside, he loved camping and the woods; he loved bonfires and smores, he loved ghost stories and campfire songs. So when word came of school camping trip Lynx was the first one to jump all over it. He was so eager to go he went straight to his room and began to pack. His backpack became almost as big as him, but that was okay because he still could carry it.

Reaching the camp ground the chaperons introduced the buddy system. He looked around to see who his buddy would be, he never met this Wren before but Lynx was friends with everyone so he was sure that this would be no different. He waved the other over almost bouncing up and down in excitment at meeting a new person.

Lynx smiled at the other when they came over. He was getting a nervous vibe off of the other but like most things Lynx decided to shrug it off and to push forward with his aggressive self. "Oh me? My name is Lynx... with an x it's pretty cool if I do say so myself" he playfully brushed off one of his shoulders and let out a laugh. "Aren't you just SO excited this is the best thing to happen to me since leaving the swirling storms! We are going to have SO much fun aren't we pal?" Lynx was fond of calling others buddy or pal he was friendly with most of those around him.

Lynx cocked his head to the side. He had never heard of an animal named wren. "What kind of animal is that? Oh? Well don't worry about it I'll be here. So you have a roommate? That's totally awesome I just room by myself don't know why i'm a pretty chummy fella I guess they just didn't need any more awesomeness. I know my roommate would be like too awesome for the academy to handle." Lynx was caught off guard by Wren's question. "Why of course we are buddy! I'll look out for you and you'll look out for me and none of those pesky creatures will eat us up at night!" He laughed and patted Wren on the back.

Lynx wrinkled his nose, well that explained it. He wasn't much a of bird watcher. He gave Wren a once over before nodding in agreement, he didn't look like a bird. "Ooooh I've never met one of those, are they nice?" He shrugged, "I'm going to be goin into junior classes soon maybe I can find one then, who knows? Well that just means you don't talk to too many people because I think you're a likable guy!" Lynx laughed "probably not I don't think the Academey would endanger us, but you never know what is out there in the wild." He shrugged with a little laugh.

Lynx laughed and shook his head no, "I don't know what that is" he admitted. He had been in the academy a while but since he had kept to himself he had much that he hadn't learned. "I don't know if I want to go to uni, I probably will. I really want to be a park ranger. I could work outside all the time! It would be so fun, I really like being outside." Hearing Wren mention his parents Lynx frowned he hadn't seen his parents since coming to the Academy and he missed them a lot.

Lynx accepted the hug from the other and thought how nice that might be. Maybe he had made a freind after all.
